  • I AM INCLUDING A LINK FOR DOMESTIC ABUSE VICTIMS. IT IS THE FIRST LINK. THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO CAN HELP YOU, REGARDLESS OF WHO YOU ARE OR WHAT PARTS YOU HAVE. I have a lot to say in this video, some which may challenge beliefs, some which may reinforce them, but I just hope people are open to listening. As someone who dealt with a really toxic/abusive relationship myself, this is why men don't say anything and just keep quiet. I've included all sources I used down below, please do check them out. I believe they are important. After Johnny was asked to leave the Fantastic Beasts franchise, I really didn't want to keep this to myself. #justiceforjohnny #justiceforjohnnydepp #fantasticbeasts

I have included a link in the description that will be useful if you (or a loved one) is a victim of domestic abuse. I have also included all sources. Normally, I would also screenshot the statements, but this video took me hours to put together, I was admittedly a little frazzled due to my own experiences, and I didn't want to push YT for what was acceptable. I've done my best to be straightforward and not ignore anything on either side, but I also believe that this is pretty cut and dry. I hope you... well ENJOY isn't the word, but find this enlightening. I appreciate all of you. Also IDK why my audio made me sound like Optimus Prime's dollar store cousin. I guess I'll work on that.

You are the best right now. We need justice for Johnny. It was a good video, a little biased, but that’s to be expected when the evidence stacks up so hard on Johnny’s favor. Really wished you could’ve gone deeper into his whole texting shenanigans because to me it seemed like you tried to sweep that under the rug a bit, but you still provided it with a basic summary and quotes so good job.

What do you mean by real feminists?
According to the official (self provided) definition, despite the one-sided title, feminism definitely stands for equality of both genders.
But if we define the feminist movement not by the definition provided, but rather by the actions of the movement, you quickly see that the movement hardly ever works for men's rights, and in some extreme cases even harms men.

What's really sad is that Depp would go to children's hospitals in the Jack Sparrow costume and in-character as Jack. There's one where a little girl asks him what happened to his finger as it was bandaged up due to the bottle being thrown. He just says "I was hungry so I bit it off". That shows how pure that man is - he was going through hell at home but made up a funny story just to make the terminally ill kids laugh and smile. He has a heart of gold yet his life is being ruined due to that dangerous criminal forcing him to suffer. Amber Heard is twisted.

But women who are killed by a current or past male partner happen 9 to 12 times more frequently than men killed by a current or past female partner.
So, advocating for male victims of domestic abuse is a good thing, but pretending that the true imbalance is in the lack of coverage of male victims and not the overwhelming rates at which women are killed by partners is egregious.

As a woman, who has been victim of all types of abuse, who loves tall bearded men, thankyou for talking about this, thankyou for sharing your experience with abuse, thankyou for giving a frank perspective on double standards and assumptions - i have seen women abuse men make attempts on their lives and reduce them to a complete mess of a person because of various types of abuse, to suggest women are incapable of it is insane. As an abuse victim i am more likely to become a perpetrator of abusive behaviour - i constantly analyses how i act in case what i am doing or saying could be perceived as abusive because I seek to do no harm to others. Thankyou for pointing out Heard's own behaviour and admissions. Men should be able to talk about it too. You make some excellent points. I've never watched your channel before, but i am sorry about your father and the abuse you experienced. ♡

Speaking as someone who was not believed while in an abusive relationship, well done. I had not followed this situation and am now just learning what has gone down. I can't imagine dealing with all that in the public eye.

In the same boat. The thing is, when you're a manipulative and abusive person, you're likely to have a lot of people wrapped around your finger who will believe you in a heartbeat. I cant even tell you how many times my extremely abusive ex completely demonized me to her friends and family and was believed 100% without question. Yet I'm the one getting punched in the face, having heavy objects thrown at me, psychologically and verbally abused nonstop. People like this know what they're doing is vile and they know that if they dont want to face the consequences, they need to learn how to wear a mask and lure everyone around them over to their side in case they're ever called out. It ain't their first time and won't be their last.

Honestly Jay, you might not see this comment, but I want you to know, no matter what anyone else says, you're a fucking hero and you're doing the right thing, speaking as a man who was emotionally abused in one of my first relationships, legitimately having them lie to me about almost everything and confess to it later, including pretending to be different people to make me jealous and hurt my friends, it makes me happy to see someone speak out, and know we're not alone, people are still people no matter their gender, and abuse is still abuse no matter what's between someone's legs, and I honestly hope that there will be justice, but this whole thing has been going on for years and it still hasn't found resolution, I've never been an uber fan of Johnny Depp, but from interviews I've seen of him, his work with charity and recent pictures of him, the man is by no means perfect, but he's one of the most sincere sounding people I've ever heard, and the most recent pictures I've seen of him, he looked like a man who had been through hell, almost as if he had been starving himself, I genuinely believe he's the true victim in all this, and if that's the case, I hope he's able to have some degree of hope with more and more people coming out to stand up for him as time goes on-
Also, I love your content and your willingness to keep doing what you want to do no matter what, keep up the good work. ^-^

This whole situation very much bothered me and continues to bother me due to personal experience and also knowing what it's like. And it's really surprising for me to hear a lot of people in the audience say that they went through similar things. I think that people are afraid to speak out about physical abuse, but also about emotional abuse. The sad thing is it seems like Johnny went through both very heavily. I'm very sorry to hear about your experience, and I appreciate the kind words that you said about mine. I truly believe that you came out on the other side a stronger person for it. You clearly have some level of self-awareness / introspective ability to be able to talk about it, which I think is a good sign just in general. The media needs to cease referring to Mr. Depp's disease, addiction, as being similar or the same as Ms. Heard's abusive behaviors. (personality disorder) She is a typical narcissist and a typical abuser. Narcissists gaslighting their victims into silence. It is heartbreaking and I don't believe his conversations with Mr. Bettany is proof of anything other than a broken hearted man, stressed and victimized, venting to his close friend. I hope Mr. Depp has an awesome therapist and I hope he is aware of how lucky we are to witness his art. Ms. Heard's narcissism really limits her acting ability. I love this video. Good job, thank you for sharing your experience. I support Johnny Depp because I can completely relate with him. I've known women like Amber Heard, and it's scary how she's manipulated so many with lies when she's the actual abuser. I've done the research, seen the evidence that has proven she's the abuser. Some of those recordings made me sick. She reminds me of a lot of women I've met, relationships I've been in. I know first-hand women can be abusive, to anyone.
There is a huge dissonance these days with how men and women are regarded. It's really sad how men are seen and treated. I hate unfairness. Men are just as human as everyone else, and thus feel the same things, and suffer the same abuses. And the differences matter too, we're different for a reason. It's important to see the whole picture and not shuffle everything into neat little boxes of labels and pigeonholes.
I refuse to be a feminist because all I see of them is radical unfairness, using the title to be sexist and abusive as if it's their right. But I do agree, most people do believe women are equal, the tenant of first-wave feminism and even second wave. It's this victim mentality coupled with bullying sexist beliefs of these last incarnations that turn me off the whole institution of feminism. As a lesbian I've always felt a sorta kinship with men that let me see them accurately, in fact, it made sure that despite abuses I suffered at the hands of men growing up I couldn't just label them all as bad and call it done. That's not the case. No one group is all bad. You have to judge on the individual case. A person is far more complex than a damn label.

I have a hard time believing that a justice of the court whose expertise is in media law and who co-wrote a book titled "Media Law" with another media law expert, who happens to be an Australian (like Whootten), had not formed relationships (professionally and otherwise), over his many years of influence, of which called for the presiding justice to recuse himself.

Thank you for your wise and logic based words. I agree with you 100%. I was in two long term relationships with men who were verbally and emotionally abusive. I left because I feared they they would become physically abusive. I also had 4 small children I needed to protect. I think it is obscene that the courts just believed a woman in this case and ignored all evidence to the contrary. I am sorry that you had to experience abuse yourself as no one deserves to be treated that way. Abuse is real, abusers come in all shapes, sizes and genders. JD was definitely abused by the decision of the court on top of everything else.

If his career should be ruined than so should hers. Her abusive ways should not be excused. Women should also be held accountable for their actions. Equality, just like you wanted.

Omg excellently said jay. This is honestly probably your best video I’ve ever seen and I love how your not afraid to talk about it. I hope Johnny doesn’t get completely screwed over because of all this and he deserves justice. Like honestly I believe amber should be put in jail for what she did to him as it’s fundamentally immmoral and wrong. Hopefully when I finally get a gf I don’t have to deal with a person like that cause I’m rather submissive and shy when it comes to girls so I could probably be used very easily which is a scary thought. Also I’m glad that you got out of that relationship jay. Your a great person and a great friend to me so I’m glad you got away from someone like that and just know jay I’ll always be there for ya man. Cause your super awesome. And yes I agree with you totally on everything and that he was asked to leave which sucks. Also your zero chill was great. Anyway stay shway and awesome jay.

I hate the whole men cant be abused thing. I remember the first time I ever really thought about it. I was in highschool and play fighting with my boyfriend at the time and he said "oh shes abusing me! Someone call the cops." (It was sarcastic) And the teacher heard and stated laughing. He said "If you called the police they'd laugh and leave." Idk just pisses me off.

I'm a woman, and I agree with your opinion. Women can be just as aggressive and abusive as men. Women can hurt their family members (not just their partners, any family members), friends, colleagues... mentally or physically too.
    This isn't something gender related.
People are shocked to hear when a women hurts a child, or an older person... They seem to be more worried about the victim who is probably weaker than the abuser.
But who said men can't be vulnerable, or they can't be hurt or they just have to endure it without any complain?
When I heard about this case, my first thought was actually the decision you made (correctly in my opinion), and I wondered why they couldn't just end that relationship when it became obviously so destructive? : (
It would be better for everyone.
One more thing. It is my personal opinion. But digging up text messages that someone wrote in a who-knows-what-kind-of state is... I don't know... weird. Do you know, how many times I've heard or read people saying really awful things about people, when they heard news that made them angry? There are sensitive topics to many people that build up a lot of tension in them, and often they give it out in words. None of the people I know went to actually do anything to those people. Sure, it was disgusting, rude and everything, but it probably gets more attention than it should, because they are famous people, so they should watch their words more than the other unknown mortal beings.
I think it's good you made this video, and addressed this problem, how men are not treated equally in such situations.
