You missed the vital information for McCree 1. Shift ''Roll'' Reloads your gun 2. Right click shoots the rest bullets in the gun 3. You can contol the spray from the right click shooting by slowly pulling the mouse down. 4. ''Flash Granade'' stuns every enemy about 1 meter radius from the granade so its better to throw it about head level instead right at the body (applies if there are more than 1 character tho) 5. Ultimate is a 1 Shot kill when the cirle turns to a skull, higher HP means longer waiting until it turns to a skull. If you dont shoot or you cancel your Ultimate meter will stay at 50%. Also its a normal bullet so Genji can reflect it or Rainhardt blocks it with his wall. 6. Genji CAN reflect your Stun grenade (happend to me alot) so be careful when you encounter him. Thats vital for me, no hate, just want McCree players to know.
Thanks a lot for the tips! By the way, about Genji being able to reflect your stun grenades, what I do is I throw the grenade at his feet and it tends to bypass his reflect and just out right stun him. That's why McRee is great against Genji :)

When you use it everyone around you knows where you are, people can hear you are there's even a tuble weed that shoots out of your player model when you do it. Actually, i really like it. it adds the balance to his ultimate and it's like Mccree is challenging everyone around him to a duel!

Another great tip, the combat roll reloads the peacemaker. So if you don't finish your target off after flashing them, combat roll behind them and right click again. This is what happened to Unit Lost around 8:08

One thing you should start doing is throwing your flashbang over Reinhardt's shield - that would have, for example, saved you a lot of time at 6:34 and it is an extremely awesome way to disrupt the whole enemy team (want an ultimate to go down but the shield is up and you are conveniently close to it? Force it to open and let said ult + your right click destroy the enemy team).

Why didn't you mention the fact that his shift automatically reloads the gun, in fact if you had used this to your advantage instead of moving a few inches to go nowhere, you likely would have killed mcree when you used your ulti on 3 ppl.
Playing a ranged melee McCree is fine if you are new to him but once you get the basics down you want to be in close combat always. McCree shines at flanking enemies, always try and go around them taking out the hanzo,widow then moving on to the healer. If you have to fight a tank unload a fan, E then roll and unload another while always aiming for the head. In order of how you will fare from easiest to hardest Reinhardt -> Mei -> Zarya -> Roadhog.
My favorite character. Well time to play CSGO with nothing but a deagle while the theme from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly plays on loop until the 24th.
A tip for you when you roll it automatically reloads when the macree pushed you could have rolled and it would have reloaded and you could have sprayed agsin

It's usually better to not hold fire on McCree. His revolver has a hidden spray pattern, and holding the mousebutton down can cause you to miss your shots. Tapping with a slight delay however negates this spray pattern and makes it easier to land shots. You'll benefit more from taking your time and making sure the shots connect, since a miss can result in death (at least when you get to higher levels of play).
and this is why i love overwatch, i suck at hitscan weapons that require good accuracy yet i can still have a lot of fun at this game and be usefull to the team by playing heroes like reinhardt or junkrat. i would LOVE to play mccree but im so bad at hitting stuff with his revolver and i dont want to be a burden to the team
Tip: Reinhardt is Mccree's best friend, stick by smart ones that hold a choke, I've had plenty of games saving him in important push moments and even more where I would've died if it weren't for his hammer. Most people focus on Reinhardt when he has his shield down swinging away, if you're close enough you're one of the best to keep people from rushing him while he has his shields. That and shooting through his shield is so useful for Mccree since you should be accurate.
The thing with Deadeye is that it's an instakill but, depending on the targets health, it takes time to deal that killing damage blow. Being damage boosted, by Mercy, or Nanoboosted increases the speed of Deadeye. You can take down tanks with a Deadeye shot but it's far better to use it to take out more spongy targets like supports and some assault characters. However it is not a headshot, or else the ult logo would come up read in the kill feed.
The only thing about Mccree that annoys me is that when you are having a 1v1 against another Mccree and you flashbang him, he can throw his own flashbang in that frame when yours still hasn't detonated and stun you just before you can use your RMB and he can just use his on you after the stun wears off.It rewards him for being slower.
You could also mention he could burst down anyone, especially tanks, since his right click empties his shells and doing his shift roll would make you automatically reload, allowing you to right click again for a total of 12 shots in less than 2 seconds.

I believe slightly tracking your target, clicking just as fast as your gun can shoot and flicking headshots makes you more accurate over time. don't be discouraged if you can't aim and click as fast as the gun can at first, you will get there eventually.

Mcree doesn't do crap to Tracer unless you're lucky. Stun her, right click, bullets hit 1-2-3-4, she vanishes and full heals before 5 and 6 finish her off. Every one of those bullets has to be a head shot to kill her, which rarely happens. I pretty much just give up now when the enemy has a Tracer. She deals way to much damage for the mobility she has.
I haven't played the game, but for the tanks, I would right click, roll, and right click again. This could kill anything in one go at close range if you land all the shots.
Sorry to say.. I'm new to overwatch but I play counterstrike. McCree's gun seems to be a revolver like in counterstrike because it fires slow and when your right click with reolver on csgo, you do burst damage. :P
Btw if you combat roll after fanning the hammer it instantly reloads giving u a extra six shots to unload into someone useful for killing Reinhardt he doesn't have a chance :)
Another good tip is that his roll ability reloads his gun. So you can fan the hammer with 6 bullets, Roll and fan the hammer again with 6 bullets! That's a game changer.
Surprised you didn't mention Genji as a soft counter to Mccree. If he uses deflect when you throw flashbang (as most Mccrees instantly do) he can stun you and outright kill you.
I personally like to not hold down the left click with McCree. I like to control my shots, makes me feel more controlled and I still am getting the shots off basically just as fast.

Btw if you combat roll after fanning the hammer it instantly reloads giving u a extra six shots to unload into someone useful for killing Reinhardt he doesn't have a chance :)
McCree is my favourite character by far. I have a good match on my channel from the end of the Beta.
Thx at the start when I got the game I got no kills with mccree and got over 20 deaths and after your tips I got 7 killstreak and 2 deaths
Another good tip is that his roll ability reloads his gun. So you can fan the hammer with 6 bullets, Roll and fan the hammer again with 6 bullets! That's a game changer.

Surprised you didn't mention Genji as a soft counter to Mccree. If he uses deflect when you throw flashbang (as most Mccrees instantly do) he can stun you and outright kill you.
I personally like to not hold down the left click with McCree. I like to control my shots, makes me feel more controlled and I still am getting the shots off basically just as fast.

just to add one thing is that the longer you hold Mcree's ult the higher damge it does and its up to 2000 the last time i checked
Yeah ive hade my shield as reignhardt destroyed instantly at full shield by his ult
1 thing that you forgot is that when you roll on the ground you reload so you can actually right click roll and repeat.
