Dude, why did you not use item repair (craft together two damaged tools, get one with the combined durability + 5% of max durability)? That's a great way to squeeze extra durability out of tools. In fact, had you waited to get both iron shovels, you could've gotten an extra 25 uses total. Not to mention each time you repair stone shovels in this way you would've gotten 6 extra durability out of it. Could have seriously helped your build phase. Doesn't preserve enchantments but is great for stretching plain tools.
If you can make a dropper mob farm (and this world has a cobble gen, so it 100% can, in fact he made one in the nether), then you can get enough iron from zombies to make an anvil and have a full Smite 5 Unbreak 3 gold sword.
26:18 You could have had 9-slot storage containers by combining one redstone from a witch (I see a ton of it decorating your floor at 34:06) with 7 cobblestone/blackstone to make droppers!
It would be interesting to see a part 2, where you get a zombie villager, cure it with a potion from a witch and get trading, then with those emeralds you get a wandering trader to spawn and trade for saplings. You could turn this area into a utopia hypothetically.

Made your life so much harder by trying to maintain that platform up top. Should've wormed the grass down with your few dirt blocks, and then just lived on the bottom level entirely... Would've saved you a LOT of blocks that were committed to that staircase :D
I think 2 big things that would have made your life far easier were 1. If you kept reloading the world until the leaf block gave you a sapling, and 2. Using the gravel to make corus dirt, especially with the wood from the sapling and being able to turn it into dirt

jaron u craft andesite with a diorite and cobble to get 2, and u craft diorite with 4 cobble and 2 quartz. Since you can make a piglin farm to get piglin trades, which includes quartz, and can make a cobblestone generator, that andesite is not your last (I havent finished the video just an observation i made)
