Woodturning - Batch Out Bottle Stoppers FAST!!!

- Woodturning can be highly profitable with some simple techniques and I want to help show people how. This video takes you through how I batch produce my scrap wood and resin bottle stoppers. The key is my DIY epoxy resin cup turner that I modified to let me put an epoxy resin finish on multiple bottle stoppers at the same time. This technique saves a ton of time and can easily be scaled up by adding more cup turners. An epoxy resin finish on your woodturning projects is extremely durable and can save a ton of time since you do not need to sand to a high grit to achieve a high quality finish. This is a woodturning project even beginners can make money on very quickly, especially around the holidays. This was one of my most profitable woodturning projects this last Christmas season and I want to share the wood and resin turning techniques and finishing methods I used so that others can be just as successful bringing some side money into their wood shops.

Hysterical. My grandma use to yell “Gall Darn you Heathens!!” Took me back. Lol.
My dad used to call me a "heathen child" all the time 🤣
Nice Deal, Brother 👍
Thanks bud
Bro really good content. Keep it up 👍
Would really love to see how you made the resin turner. I'm just getting into wood turning so anything is helpful
Good to see you Brad.
U too bud, gonna focus more on content for 2022
Very cool I would like to see how you put the spinner together
Heck yeah would like to see the resin spinner
Gonna order another cup turner to make that video
Would like to see a video on the 5 rpm motor bottle top finishing application jig .
I’d love to see a how to video on the cup turner setup if you don’t mind. Thank you
Ill have to order another to add but thats no biggie. 👍
Very nice. The TB is probably the best finish for the bottle stoppers.
Thanks, it does do a great job
i like your video ,
Thanks
Such a transformation when the finish is applied. Awesome work.
It definitely is
Sure was nice to see you polishing multiple knobs at once again! Miss your face!
Lmfao 🤣
Nice Brad. Show us a video on the rotisserie build. It’s looks nice and slow. Nice packaging on the stoppers. I’ve got piles of these but have a hard time selling them
Definitely more of a gift item. Ill order another cup turner and do a video 👍
Does Hamburglar eat soggy McMuffins too? The TB finish looks great. Nice resin spinner.
Nah man, he's been locked up since the 90s 😉 thanks bud
Those are nice, Brad. I'm not a turner but I enjoy seeing the projects and techniques different people use.
Bill

Those are pretty, plus I like the lathe. Thanks for sharing.
Thank u!
I really want to try your wood finish paste but I can’t afford it for now. I won a ack’s wood paste and finish, that works so good. It’s almost gone so when I can I’ll be buying some of your stuff. Thank you for sharing this with us! I learned a bit from you. Have a great rest of your weekend.
No worrys. I've been there many times myself. Just keep creating 👍
I would like to see how you made the resin turner. thankyou.
I have one set aside for a video. Just gotta get time. Subscribe so ull get the notification
hello sir great video. what are the videos for comparing the epoxies (im interested in making bottle stoppers and for makiing epoxy tables) and a video for the multi mandrel setup? thx!
Working on both
How do you stop the chuck from turning in the bottle stop blank ?
These turned out amazing!! Great idea to reuse the left over resin too!
Thanks, cant waste that liquid gold! Lol
As always a great video. Keep up the good work brad!
Thanks bud
Brad can you share a link for the bottle stopper assorted post pack you showed in the video please. Nice packaging bro!
Stainlesssteelbottlestoppers.com if you read when ordering their 10 pack you can write the quanities of their 5 most popular stoppers that you want. Hope that makes sense
Bummer they don't seem to be in business anymore! That was a great set of stoppers! Beautiful work and great information.
Do you mind sharing some guidance on pricing as I'd love to be able to make these and get a sense of what one can charge for them.
Awesome project!!! You should do one of your setup for those turners.
I've had enough interest I ordered another turner to add to the line up and make a video 👍
@@RatedRWoodturning awesome!
Where did you get the packaging at?
Very nice 👍. Love the colors. Would like to swop decals with you to put on my board in my work shop. Subscribed.
Sure, if ur on ig u can find me under brads workbench over there since they have messages
@@RatedRWoodturning I don't use Instagram sorry. My address is in my about page on my channel.
Found you thru tik tok. Always wanted to see that bottle top spinner and how it’s put together. But on the subject of carbide. What would you recommend for someone?
I have a video on making your own carbide tools out of pry bars if you're on a super tight budget. But a company called asieg tool on amazon sells the shank, ferrule, and carbide (have to make your own handle) for around $30-$40 a piece. After you get equipped then you can look into negative rake carbides which are great for resin.
@@RatedRWoodturning thank you!!! I’ll look into that.
Sweet! So you went from the HF lathe to the Laguna 1836. How do you like it and due to your height did you get the risers? I’m debating my next purchase and at 6’2” wondering a bout the added expense of the riser for comparisons. My “shop” is the third stall of the garage which also stores all other “stuff”.
I didnt get it risers. I may put some blocks under it but its not too bad where it sits now. Id say try it as is before you shell out the money for them 👍
Where do you get the boxes you put you stoppers in after you finish them?
Hamazon 🤙
Any chance you could put a link to your Amazon store? I can’t seem to source them on Amazon. Those boxes look really nice
Glad you have luck selling those I made some but no luck around here due to once you pop the top it's drinking till it's gone 🤣 those are beautiful keep up the awesome work man
I heard that quite a bit as well
Where are the new videos? Been 2yrs now
But when are you going to melt some metal...
I know, i know. Its still on my mind
cant find something , eh ?
Always
