    I like this section, when I do my yearly Death Valley trip. When we get to this section all my Yota friends feel so accomplished.

      they feel accomplished because they made it without breaking down 4 times like the jeeps do :D joking

    Dude, I follow you on Instagram. I'm surprised u have so little viewer! Your video is so informative, I can study the trail before tackling it myself. Ty!

      I'm sure over time I'll get views. As long as it's helping people out that's all that matters! Glad I was able to help you out. Hope you aren't planning on burning alive out there anytime soon. Getting real hot.

      @@MaddoxBBQ Glad not to hear music, narration or pleas for subscribers and likes, just excellent videography with actual ambient sounds. Your videos are great for planning. Thanks for sharing them. Got a chuckle seeing additional riders showing up toward the end, first one, then another, then another, then another... clown car trick.

      Haha thanks. I try to keep the videos simple. Show a little bit of everything. Beginning, end, the views and the hard stuff. I honestly don't have the time or skill for the video editing some people do, plus I know by personal preference anything over 7min is killer for me. And lol, just chop chop chop the video and they'll appear.

      How high up did you go? Did you go up to Inyo mine? It looks like there is a ton a scattered camping if the vehicle can make the trip. TIA

    This was very helpful. I am heading there next month and was trying to determine what the maps meant by "experienced 4-wheel drivers and short wheel base" my Jeep and I will be just fine :)

      Yes. The hardest part is the waterfall and a bit above the waterfall. Nothing you can't do in a Jeep. Lockers will help of course. But not needed.

      @@MaddoxBBQ I have a 2020 2 door Rubicon. I have both front and rear lockers so I think it should be manageable. Thanks!

      @@nicolemcmahon7064 Yup. Will be a cakewalk. If you are going to be there awhile, give Steel Pass a run to. Very fun trail.

    Is the twist near the top (3:00?) the spot where the western side of the road connects to the eastern side?

    • @MaddoxBBQ
      @MaddoxBBQ  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are supposedly two ways. One above the Inyo Mine, and one on the Echo Canyon. I don't know much about either, except have heard that the one near the Inyo Mine is pretty nasty. Where I'm at on Echo Canyon is right around the top/near the top of the pass, so it probably is. I know you can get close to Nevada or come out in Nevada from that section of trail, but it's still 20 miles or so away from the main roads and I'm not too sure of how to connect the two. That section though is supposed to be the toughest part.

      So where did you start from? Death Valley NP? The NP map shows this trail starting at Furnace creek and going a few miles up the mountain, but not going all the way through to Amargosa valley. Although I heard it does. Thanks for sharing.

    Can you let me know if there are any flat spots in the first 3 miles that you can camp on or does it start to incline the entire way? Thanks!

    • @MaddoxBBQ
      @MaddoxBBQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's flat, but I don't believe camping is allowed anywhere along the trail.

    Great video! I’ve been on this trail twice now exploring from furnace creek but never made it to this technical section. Would a 4 door short bed F250 physical fit through this section?

    • @MaddoxBBQ
      @MaddoxBBQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've seen some Tundra's and Excursions do it so I don't see why not. Just have a good spotter with you and you should be okay.
