Rolled up Echo Canyon today in my 2013 Chevy Tahoe. 4” BDS lift, 33” tires. I made it up to the first waterfall section. Went up the first step, then decided Hell no without a spotter and in my daily driver. So I backed down the first step (worse in reverse) and turned around. Glad I found this video to see some people navigate that section!
Thanks for sharing your honesty as it helps someone like myself who travels with my wife and our dog alone! Want to do this trail and your info makes it easy and acceptable to just turn around!
Did you guys go to Inyo Mine from the furnace creek area? Curious if I have to do the waterfall section to get to the mine. Have a gen 2 Chevy Colorado Z71 with the air dam removed
I managed to climb the Echo Canyon waterfall back in March 2022 with my stock 2003 Tacoma 4X4 with a 1.5" lift with stock size 31" tires. It was tough but with some good spotting, it all worked out. Shocked that I made it without body damage to be frank.

That was kind of you to go get the drive shaft. So good to see others looking out & helping when ever, where ever & how ever they can.

This is awesome thanks for sharing
I did echo last December then camped the night out near Big Dune.
How far in can you get before the terrain gets as rough as you started to show? How far is is just a gravel bumpy road?
Would this trail be doable with a full size Ram 2500? what do you think>?
It’s doable just take your time and stay to the far left line up second step
What size are your tires Jason? They look small after seeing that 4Runner on 38s.
315/75 r 16 Basically 35s

We took a basically stock 200 up it’s totally doable. I was showing off for camera and tried the hard right line and made a mistake
