To me this song stands out among a sea of his hits. It never fails to give me goose bumps, and have me get hype and tear up at the same time. Plus the message is so damn profound. Wish more people reacted to this song specifically.

Everything Garth does is gorgeous, but this song is truly special. I proposed it to be my high school class’ graduation song, but another amazing song by another artist was selected.
This song is the message I share with my 10 year-old child every say. NEVER, EVER get out of that water. KEEP GOING, even when people in the dark hate your light.
When I was a child I would not sleep without this song. Still my favorite to this day

I love country music so much because of the way country music is able to tell a story in a way no other genre does. Especially "Prime" country (80s and 90s) . It's beautiful, and wish more people would actually listen to the words rather than making fun. If they did, they would realize the stories are for all of us.
