It was a gamble, but he and Taylor Swift both stepped away and I know TS is back on spotify but I don't really use any other platforms.

The great thing about Garth, he's basically the Bruce Springsteen of Country Music. He leaves everything on the stage for his fans, he lives to live perform. He has an amazing catalog of music that is even better live. He gives every fan their moneys worth and a lifetime of memories every show.
I saw him live in the mid 90s and he was one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen! He started climbing the flimsy latter used for the camera crew half way through the show. Threw cymbals & broken guitars into the crowd. I’ve seen well over 100 concerts since and he’s still in my top 5

He is one of my favorites also. I have listened to him since the early 90's I even knew his brother and sister in law and nephews. He is the one who does not put it on TH-cam and other things.
I've said this on several "reaction" videos to "not-Garth Brooks" songs. Whoever or whatever scrapes his music from TH-cam and Dailymotion and all the streaming services is very very good at their job. Which is a shame. I think he's missing out on a whole new generation of fans by doing that. Y'all in your 20's will never hear his music, because you'll never buy a CD. CD players are not even built into computers these days. It's an absolutely useless medium. And if you guys can't hear him on some sort of streaming service, you'll never attend any of his concerts (where he absolutely shines... he puts on a hell of a show). He's just missing an entire generation of people by being so protective of his performances. And that's really a shame to me. Garth took a long break to be with his girls as they grew up. A couple years ago he released a song named "Mom". He did it live on the Ellen show. Very moving lyrics.
I've listened to every Garth album since his first came out in 1989. I've listened so much that I burned through several cassette tapes and the CD laser burned through the CDs (well, not literally, but you know...). I even met him in person outside of a concert once. I KNOW his voice. I KNOW the sound of every instrument on every song, so I can spot covers a mile away, even the very good ones. You just can't be sure it is him if you don't know him and if you aren't seeing him on a live stage or a concert video. So I'm glad you finally got a real version of him, because I know it is a rarity to not get a cover of his songs on YT. He was also influenced by Motown greats, The Eagles, and also Bob Seger, of whom are mostly from my home state of Michigan.
One thing that is great about Garth is he still performs with as much energy today as he did back in the 90's. He is one of those artists that proves age is just a number
GARTH!!!! My first concert was Garth at Texas Stadium in ‘93. I was nine years old. If there’s a live performance of Ain’t Going Down ‘Til the Sun Comes up - that’s a fun one 👍
This is the first concert I remember. I was about 7 years old. No I wasnt there but we lived in apartments next to the fair grounds and he rocked that place. I will never forget.
Very protective of his music, has been for over 20 yrs! Did not do a ton of music videos and really only done live. Im lucky enough to have had his greatest hots CD & burned it lol. Still have ot today.
This was amazing! I took my husband to a Garth brooks concert. 3 shows in Wisconsin- all sold out. My husband knew nothing of Garth or country music and left that concert a big fan. He had so much fun!
I love your reactions. I use Garth Brooks, Elvis Presley, Tupac, and many other great artist songs as lullabies for all my babies. All three of them have been rocked to this song at 3 am
Garth brooks was the best of his generation however George strait is one of Garth Brooks’s influences garth said that he heard George strait singing Amarillo by morning while he was in college and that let him know he needed to sing country
In college I dated a guy who ran a bar in downtown Athens, GA - he always said they wouldn't play country because it wasn't cool enough and Athens was too diverse to narrow the customer base... except for Garth because, and I quote, "everyone likes Garth Brooks." One night at 2 AM I got the giggles watching a bar full of every type of person there is belting out "Callin' Baton Rouge" together, and realized he was right!
Garth is at his best live. The one guy that can go toe to toe with George in being best live. Seen them both live. It’s hard to say if one is better then the other but I still put George a hair more better. During the late 80s and throughout the 90s these two topped the country charts. By far country’s best years! Then there is Randy Travis, Mark Chestnut, Brooks & Dunn, Diamond Rio, The Judds, Alan Jackson and the list goes on!
“This dude talented” Well yeah, he’s only sold the most records in country music history lol. And it’s not even close. 1. Garth Brooks - 148 million records sold 2. Dolly Parton - 1.5 million records sold. Yeah the gap is that big. Talented is an understatement. Lol
You may want to re-source those numbers. I mean Garth is still number one, but there are tons of country artists with WAY more than 1.5 million albums sold.
Michael Ramey George Strait has sold over 100 million . Don’t get me wrong, I love Garth Brooks as well. I was so lucky to go to one,of his concerts his first time around. Not a better entertainer. There are Rock and Roll entertainers that could stand toe to toe in their hay day to though.
Full stop one of the best entertainers and showmen of all time. He crossed several genres and has influenced so many of today’s artists. You would love “Shameless” suuuuuper intense and shows off his vocals!
Had the privilege of going to a concert in my hometown 2 years ago!! It sold out in 30 seconds online so being the awesome guy he is he did a second show the same night and it sold out just as fast. Gotta listen to the Live version of Friends in low places with the mysterious 3rd verse or Ain't going down till the sun comes up and Thunder Rolls.
As you've seen in other comments, he's very protective of his music, which makes sense to alot of his fans. Makes sense for him and his family..sucks sometimes in the TH-cam era we're living in, but as a huge garth fan, I hold no ill will towards the man because of it!
I lived through Garth Brooks' career. It's hard to really communicate how *huge* he was, he was a phenomenon in a way I don't think we have these days. And he never faded. He stopped. This man is a legend.
The band members in this video from 1994 are mostly the same ones he tours with today. The female bass player here is his sister, Betsy, who passed away. The guitar player, Ty England, pursued a solo career for a while then came back and joined the band for the stadium tour. There’s a new guy on fiddle now, Jimmy Mattingly, but the rest of the group is the same. How cool is that, to be playing today, 30 years later, with the same guys you started with? After taking a break to raise his daughters no less!
I'm old af. I remember when this song came out. I had the cassette...played it in my Walkman while on the bus. Lol. I also remember seeing his concert on TV. Thankful it was on 1 of 2 channels we got. Yes. I grew up with only 2 channels. NBC & CBS. Also have you heard garth brooks extend version of the thunder roll??? Its good!!!

This was my song growing up. Anytime it came on I told everyone to STFU!! One of my all time favorite songs.. Great Reaction Holla!!!
I like how you not only watch the video, but you do provide feedback and opinions on the message of the lyrics. You got another subscriber!
I've been to many of his concerts. He had the best energy you would get tired watching him perform
Listen to Chris ledoux “this Cowboys hat”
That's a story and a awesome one at that
Damn good suggestion
Tyler Yes
Outstanding choice!
“This dude talented”
Well yeah, he’s only sold the most records in country music history lol. And it’s not even close.
1. Garth Brooks - 148 million records sold
2. Dolly Parton - 1.5 million records sold.
Yeah the gap is that big. Talented is an understatement. Lol
You may want to re-source those numbers. I mean Garth is still number one, but there are tons of country artists with WAY more than 1.5 million albums sold.
Second place is George Strait with 69 million.
i think you might want to look up shania twain. heck linf
da ronstadt sold 30 million country albums sg
hania is around a 1oo million
Garth is closer to 170 million.. he’s second to the Beatles I believe. Which means he sold more than Elvis. He’s a big deal 🙂
I don’t like a lot of country at all, but Garth Brooks is classic 🖤
Garth Brooks BY FAR puts on the BEST SHOWS EVER!
Garth is one of the greatest country PERFORMERS of all time. Check out his central park concert.
Full stop one of the best entertainers and showmen of all time. He crossed several genres and has influenced so many of today’s artists.
You would love “Shameless” suuuuuper intense and shows off his vocals!
I looked him up. He got big in 89.
Garth brooks pushes his band to perfection in every show they do. He will except no less from them.
Garth Brooks is king of country music. He has gotten tons of awards
This one of my favorite songs in the world. I can never listen to it enough.
I remember this video so vividly. One of the best father/son music videos ever..... not that there are a lot of there.
Its good!!!
He is amazing his concert is one of my favorites I’ve been too. He doesn’t slow down.
Went to his concert a few years ago. He is AMAZING live..
He's still doing it. Saw him in Billings, Montana a couple years ago.
He's a madman when on stage. When not performing he's down to earth, boy next door.. on stage..oh man .might fly in on a wire.. never know.
