I am picking up one of these tomorrow...upgrading from an S9+ lol. My S9+ has just been a fantastic phone. I cracked the display (again) at the top and since I've already replaced the display twice it doesn't make sense to do it again for several reasons. I decided on the S24+ because it's the perfect size for me (same as my S9+) and I don't like the square corners of the S24 Ultra. Rounded corners for me. I'm sure the improved performance is going to be significant coming from an S9+. Your great review just solidified my decision, thx!
I'm in the same boat. I'm upgrading from the S9+. My phone is still in perfect condition but some of the apps I use are starting to not support the phone any more. This is the phone I'm upgrading to and now I feel so much better about the decision.
Dude I been wanting a Samsung Galaxy phone since the S8 but couldn't afford it. After years of wanting one, I FINALLY got this phone the s24 plus two weeks ago and yeah it's amazing. And it was watching your pripr videos on this phone that helped convinces me. And now I'm watching this one lol. A perfect phone for me. The buld, display performance all great. And I love that it's a bit wider too. Just all around amazing.
What are the speakers and battery like? I heard the speakers are poor. Mine is coming tomorrow but I can trade it for the S24 Ultra. I am currently using the S23 Ultra which I have sold to my brother.
Perfection dude... I got mine s23 with 6.1 inch and 256 gb and for me its great because have smaller hands. I can afford many other models and expensive phones but still rocking s23 ordinary for almost 1 year. Super happy!
Sup J. Williams, I'm watching on my Cobalt Violet S24+. Coming from the Galaxy A54 to this phone was an awesome upgrade. My first option was getting the S24 Ultra but decide on this one instead. idk if I would like it more narrow tbh, the amazingly thin bezels on such a large screen looks so nice. I also really like the weight of this phone, it strangely feels lighter than it actually is.
I agree 💯, I think the S24 Plus and the OnePlus 12 are definitely my 2 favorite large phones of 2024. The 24 Plus is finally a real plus again and not just a bigger base model. Its a legit bump for sure.
Ahhhh...the 12 and 24+ are 2 of the very best. The only change I made to the 24+ was to make Gboard my default keyboard. When I did, the haptic feel jumped off the chart. Way to go my man!!
This is the video I needed. Wanted to wait for Pixel 9 but I kind of don't like stock android. The S24+ is already cheaper to buy at retailers. Will order it now tomorrow in that color shown here.
I have the S24+, and its amazing. The battery lasts me 8+hrs with full use. That Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 really keeps the power draw low. Was gonna get the ultra...but I dont need all them camera features.
I have the s24 plus 1 week now; Great Phone, I love it. Photos are good, video is good, is very good in the hand, is light, the screen is beautiful, the phone is quickly although I have made it faster, developer settings and 3 times animation. The Sound is good. Batterylife is decent to good, I have exynos, it's not the best but also not as bad as some claim, it is not too bad, I don't complain. Even when I call the speaker on it is nice and loud. I rarely do gaming, no judgment. Gaming requires a lot of battery life I know. The software is sublime, the best there is, so smooth. Sites also charge quickly. Are there a few things that could be better? Yes, 65 Watt or more would be allowed. Better Zoom Camera is also allowed, would be a bonus. And when I push a movie and I push on then I don't see anything zoom button? I have to squeeze the screen to see the 2-4-10 Times Zoom? That is better. Even with the signal from WiFi and 4/5G, I also do not immediately notice a problem.
I think this phone is the best phone of 2024 , it honestly doesn't lack anything and hasn't disappointed me at all , it charges super fast , I plugged it in at 56% at the start of your video and it's now at 87% as I'm typing after watching the video, I do agree that it would be nice if it was a hair thiner , but overall I love this phone , I have the same marble gray with 512gb aswell , I plan on having for many years , if the screen cracks it's definitely worth getting it repaired, I love this phone, great review partner!!!
I just bought a z flip 6 and i think i am going to return it because it feels so akward in weight and feel when i am texting or just overall using the phone. plus another poster posted that it was annoying after a while having to open the phone every single time to do anything major as the outer display is too small for tasks. what would you do. I would much rather have better cameras. I always bought the Ultra. I was bummed when they merged the Note with the Ultra. I picked mine up directly from Samsung for $450 after trading in my S22 Ultra. Don't get me wrong, it's a great phone with the best display but alas after using the S series phones from the original Galaxy S thru the S22 Ultra I switched to the iPhone. Since my 15 Pro Max is eSIM only I had to keep my SIM active. I've had the same last four digits for fifty five years and I want to keep it. When my family got that phone number we had a party line system. Absolutely mind boggling. My 7th grade Physical Science teacher had to change my grade on a test over a question about whether an alarm clock would go off in the morning or evening. I answered that it would depend on whether you set it for am or pm. So I brought my Popular Science magazine to school the next day and showed him the article about the first digital alarm clock. Fast forward to today and I can sit and watch TH-cam, be out the door with my phone, mail, media, camera, video camera and it all fits in my pocket. 3:11
J do you miss the 10x zoom on the s23 Ultra? I feel id prefer that over the 5x. If i have only one zoom lens I'd probably want the 5x considering i have kids in school
If you really want a Samsung device with a large display, great battery life, great quality build, top notch performance, quality specifications, inexpensive and that’s a reliable everyday device just buy the Galaxy A35 5G or the Galaxy A55 5G. The A55 only works on Mint Mobile or T-Mobile in the United States but the A35 works for all carriers. Their budget devices but pound for pound it’s the best bang for your buck.
I was looking at samsung phones at best buy today to replace my 13 pm and I went straight for the ultra but ended up liking the S24 plus more. It just felt fantastic to hold and that display was chefs kiss 👌
That is a great phone I was using the pixel but with the heat here in Dallas shooting videos outside they always overheat but never with the samsung I haven't gave up on Google I'm still team pixel but I would rather have a pixel samsung and iphone at the same time because they all bring something different to the tabel
I've been watching videos for the S24+ because I am seriously thinking about trading my S22 Ultra in for this phone today. I'm in my 70s and I have arthritis in my hands, so holding the Ultra, even in the new lighter case I just bought for it, is just too uncomfortable. I very recently lost my husband and I am getting ready to cut a couple of cords, so to speak. Obviously, the cost of cable is high so plugging in a Roku device was a no brainer for me. My husband refused to let go of our landline though, and it is now another thing that is going. I thought I would be keeping the Ultra for the rest of my life because I seldom used it as a phone! Now I need the phone more than the other toys that the Ultra offers, so I am definitely going to get this phone. I like the fact that I won't have to worry about updates for 7 years too. This phone will probably outlive me. Lol!
Hi J, can u help me with the choice for my new mobile phone. I choose from Iphone 15, Samsung S23 ultra or Google pixel 8 pro, or u can suggest me another phone. I mostly use it for web brosing, social medias and camera, and want my phone to last few years before I again upgrade it.
Not that my initial starts with a j any of those three phones are absolutely amazing and will last more than 4 years. Ask yourself if you want a bigger display do you watch a lot of content & streaming movies on your phone if so I would say you at 23 ultra if you want a more portable easygoing I would tell you iPhone 15 Pixel 8 is the perfect goldilock size in my opinion. Battery life on all 3 of those phones from reviews seem to be good on all 3, Good Luck my friend.

Got in on the pre-order deals.after about a month I made it my daily driver over my pixel 8 Pro I'm really enjoying this phone The only thing that I've had a issue with is Wait let me take that back I can't even call the issue because I've never got the running hot warning that's it's overheating or anything but I've noticed when I do a lot of gaming the screen gets very hot..
@@CarloAFC91 after about 15 mins of tennis clash it's pretty toasty front screen gets really hot right top and back. I play for a couple hrs at a time on a daily basis
The reg is great if you need a smaller device. The plus, if you enjoy a lot of content, is better due to the resolution. I have both and also strongly recommend the OnePlus 12 also.

Definitely a massive upgrade, going from note 10+ to the s24+. you will not regret it, but just so you know, the 24plus has no Spen if you are used to using it, u may have to adjust.

They should have given snapdragon globally. Exynos is not good that is the deal breaker
