- The Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus is a huge improvement, and I think it's a great option for people who don't want the S24 Ultra! BUY S24+ HERE! howl.me/clA4tI... (affiliate)
The Samsung Galaxy S24+ has made big upgrades over the S23+ and the S22+ that make it a great option, and really improved important areas like the screen, refresh rate, battery, and much more that make it a great alternative at a cheaper price than the Galaxy S24 Ultra!

I just subscribed to your channel!!
Look like they are trying to say the iPhone looks like + model, and ultra should look like ultra😂😅
Every single thing you mentioned is exactly why I upgraded from S22) to the S24+...Plus getting it for less than half price was HUGE!!! Btw, the mic sounds fantastic!!
Were u using s22+?
@@natz6046 yes I was
Awesome. Glad you’re happy with it and I could help. And thanks! Finally some good audio 🫡😂
I did the same thing!😂
Got the s24plus for my daughter, she loves it. It's great.
I got it as well. Absolutely phenomenal device this year.
You're a great dad 😊
Glad to hear it!
Good video. Straight to the point, only talking about what relevant. No super long intro! +1 new subscriber!
Thank you!
Been loving my ZFlip5. Holding out for Flip6
Hoping Samsung is able to squeeze in a 4,000mah battery
Brighter cover screen at 1080p
Fix the rainbow effect on the inner display while wearing sunglasses and maybe a bump to 12GB of RAM
And of course faster charging
I got s24+ and I'm very happy. Nothing to complain about. Checked testmyscreen, not perfect but good enough for me. Can't tell at all during normal use. Highly recommend! Btw live translate is amazing!!
I love mine in sandstone color! By the way, nice microphone sir!
Very nice! And thank you
Thanks Adam for initial thoughts on S24+. You picked up on all the upgrades over the S23+, and reinforced my decision to trade in my S23 base for the S24+. Hopefully it'll arrive in next couple of days, got the 512gb in Sapphire Blue! By the way, vlog sounded OK. 😊 👍
Got the amber yellow s24+ and it's definitely a beastly upgrade from the s23+.
I got the s24+ along with other redditors have nasty screen lag. We don't have a green line fixed by resetting ur phone 4 times. We actually have a hardware issue
@@Nutsackfart Must be an exynos chip or something. I don't have any of those issues and it's actually much more optimized than my s23+.
@jordanjackson8873 Mines not an exinos version and neither was theirs
@jordanjackson8873 Or maybe it's the fact that most of the users I talked to were all iphone users before the s24. I feel bad for any of u samsung users thinking this is normal
Good video... Yeah i got my S24 Plus on preorder so it came with 512 storage. Two weeks before pre-order I bought a S21 Ultra to trade in for $350 and Samsung gave me $550 so with Samsung there's always a way to get a discount if buy at the right time. I would bet that if you wait a month or two they'll be sale where you can snag an s24 Plus for less than the $1,000 they're asking which nobody should ever pay.
The first plus phone i'd ever consider trading in my S21 Ultra for. 🤔
It's worth it the resolution is beautiful and the camera is nice 30 magnification is crazy
@@tymondcrawford6967 and I could take the money I save and get a tablet with an S-Pen
You won't regret it.
I traded my S21 Ultra and I'm glad I did. Love my S24+
I'm happy you dropped this video. I also plan to get the S24+ very soon. I had an S22 Ultra before and I barely used the S-pen and it had poor efficiency. I can't wait to get newest plus model!!!
Glad I could help!
It's better than iPhone. Don't make it look as a copy.
Samsung making money either way, the screen on iPhones made by Samsung.
Super tare.
Felt the same. Bought all 3 devices; I ended up keeping the Plus over the Ultra solely due to the uncomfortably square corners.
Yep, it’s a great phone, as I type this on my 15PM😂. I’M SWITCHING BACK! Just needed to see the iPhone/watch ultra 2 update. Yeah, they’re the same size etc, but the weight is noticeably lighter in the 24+.
Android has better battery then the iPhone 15 pro max
@@quadriderhonda iPhone 15 Plus laghing in the corner 😂😂😂
@@gamingrobbie6935Yeah laughing back in the corner with it's inferior 60Hz screen and 1.5 year old processor.
I wouldn't have even known to change the resolution it starts above 1080 but not quad thank you man
Glad I could help
After listening to your pros, cons of phones I got the s24+ and am very happy, so far.
Bought a tablet and traded my s10+ which was in great shape and 5 years old walked out with a free phone. The tablet $200. It was launch day🥳 mostly paid for the x-tras that you have mentioned. I appreciate all your videos. They really helped with my decision !!! 🙏
Awesome. Glad you were able to get a good deal and you're happy with it. Thanks for the support. Glad the videos helped!
The lack of camera improvements is still really disappointing. Both its main camera and 3x telephoto are incredibly outdated and due for an upgrade
Exactly why I'm enjoying OnePlus and other brands like nothing more than Samsung.
@@metalcrip89 unless this is sarcasm both those brands don't really have great cameras
@@adityan3208 one plus fans have been in high gear cope mode lately
@@adityan3208definitely not I genuinely think OP out does this phone in every way. Meanwhile Samsung is just resting on their name same reason why I loved LG phones more than Samsung
I'm glad you're touching on this. The ultra is for the note users. We were all disappointed when samsung killed the note but then they fixed it by putting them together and making the ultra. If I didn't want spen or like the biggest phones and boxy design I may would have gotten the plus. I'm proud of Samsung even the mid range phones are nice.
Videographer here that uses the Panasonic s5ii/s5 regularly.
The autofocus on Panasonic is pretty good but still not as good as Sony and Canon so you have to make some changes so that it does exactly what you want.
If you haven't already, I would turn off face/eye autofocus and put the AF mode into the box mode ( sorry can't remember the correct name as the moment).
You can set the box to be over your face and then when you hold up items in front your face it should focus really quickly on and off the items.
If you're using the s5 mark 1 then the AF problems you're having are due to the AF system it uses but what I said above will still help some.
I have already adjusted the focus
From the front and side, the S 24 and S 24 Plus are the most Iphone looking phones Samsung has ever made.
Yup
So glad i upgraded from s21+ to s24+ perfect
Nice upgrade!
Just bought this on Thursday and absolutely love it. 2 days so far and seems like I made the best choice. Could have gotten the ultra but figured I'd save $240 and get the plus now that it just as much ram, storage, battery and a quad hd display similar to the ultra. I spent about $710 on this after discounts. My iPhone 15 (base 6.1 non plus) cost about $680 after discounts. Both are 256gb. For the similar prices I paid price, this phone blows the iPhone 15 (and plus as well) out the water.
I upgraded to this from an S22+. Finally no more battery anxiety! 😅
Sweet!
Completely agree
Been using this s24 ultra for the past 3 days along side the iPhone 15pm. Best thing is I have imessage and google messge on the same phone. You have to setup airmessage on a Mac first but it works great
S24 ultra is boss the squared design is best
Its a great phone, traded s22 ultra for mine. Well worth the upgrade
Adam hit the nail on the head with the iphone comparison lol.
I agree!
What’s nice about newly released Galaxy S/Flip/Fold phones is the trade in promotion most carriers have for the first few months.
For my carrier, there’s always a $600 bonus tacked on to the trade in value making most new Galaxy phones free after trade in. But that’s not enough to get me to switch to a Samsung.
I preorder the S24+, and I could not be more happy. It's exactly right for me 👍.
Glad to hear it
Going from my s23 ultra to the s24 plus had me worried til i saw this. My phone insurance wasnt able to fix my s23 ultra so theyre sending me a check for the full msrp of the s23U when i bought it so im getting a free upgrade and ill have a couple months of free service lmao. Thank uou for the insights
I love my S24+, and I really do enjoy its design. It's simple, sleek, attractive, and comfortable to hold. Even if the S25 series does come with a new design, I'll probably stay with this phone. And, not just for its design. I love the performance. And, 7 years of updates is great.
This is funny to me. My friend had to buy a new phone because their s20plus died on them. They picked up an s24 (regular model) and they don’t like it because of how much it looks like an iPhone.
Dude... I'm the guy who complained about the audio sounding too crisp.... Absolutely night and day. Sounds soooooooooooo much better!
Awesome. Glad it’s sounding better. I’m trying lol
In Europe we get the Exynos variant so it's not so enticing to buy this over the Ultra.
There’s unfortunate
Waiting to hear about Oppo Find X7 Ultra. 🙂
Really appreciate your reviews! Im considering upgrading frkm S22 ultra because well you know, its trash heavily considering the 24+ especially with it being $300 cheaper than the ultra
Got myself a S24+ and Tab S9 FE for $800 so I'm happy. Especially in South Africa.
I had an s24 plus and liked it but I realized how much Samsung is trying to make it like an iPhone so I took it back and got the ultra instead. The design was way too on the nose for me. After using it I realized how much I prefer using an ultra device and got the s24 ultra instead
The squared corners and curved screen are too impractical and uncomfortable to hold tbh. I had an s10+ and it was unbearable to hold because of the curved screen and glossy back. Even with a case, the s10+ was still hard to maintain and keep untouched with the curved screen. The note 20 I had was heavy, and the corners put holes in my pockets. Not only that, but the squared corners dug into my palm whenever I held it. The s23+ was the first time I had a galaxy phone that was truly comfortable to hold in my hand. It still was hard to hold because the polished aluminum edges made it slippery. The s24+ has the ergonomics of the s24 base, including the non-reflective edges, with 95% of the features from the s24 ultra
@@dr.fitprofessor4363 Aww lemme guess you have small baby hands and can't hold the ultra?
@@dr.fitprofessor4363 you liked getting pinned down by other men? I'm not suprised
@@TheDanimal91 Damn. That's out of nowhere. Don't project too much.
I actually went with stock android moving into the software AI future . I now actually feel like the more stock devices might be simpler to keep flowing and may have the more meaningful updates going forward .
I don't understand this but whatever works for you
The new mic sounds great! Watching on my OnePlus N30 5g.
Awesome. Thanks for letting me know.
Ppl forget the plus models only got nerfed starting with the 21 series the olus models prior were proper flagships with little to no compromise
Yup.
This year it's finally almost worth the asking price of $1,000. If you don't need an s pen and some gimmicky titanium bits it may be a better device for some people.
its an awesome phone.
@@donlee4238 indeed, they've done a very nice job this year. Still, I've skipped the Samsung lineup the last few years. I just pre-ordered the OnePlus 12. It outstrips the Plus in many ways and is a much better value.
Totally agree

Im still using a 13 pro max. Great phone. I tried s22 ultra exynos model and had a nightmare so went back to my 13 pro max and have stayed with it.
What part of this story is relevant to this video?
@@daleycarter what do you care what anyone posts ya knob.
@@daleycarter what part of my comment did you need to respond to you melt. Hes talking about a samsung to replace an iphone. I talked about having an iphone trying samsung and not having a good experience. Do yourself a favour and go and annoy someone else.
@@ryanduffy5887 you're talking about a 2 generation old model with a completely different chip, it's apples and oranges, no pun intended.
I understood the thrust of what you were saying, what I'm saying is a 2 year old phone with a chip that doesn't even ship inside the US bares no relevance to this model/video.
I also had the exynos S22U and found it to have some annoying drawbacks, clearly the iPhone 13 Pro max was the better phone, that doesn't mean anything when it comes to the phones being compared here.
@@daleycarter im not a techy. I was just making a comment.
Thanks for the video..i thought the microphone sounded good.
Thank you. I appreciate it
The sound is excellent!!
Thanks!
I LOVE my s24 plus. The display is gorgeous and the battery life is phenomenal.
I like my ultra.. I do agree the screen is dimmer BUT everything else in my opinion is better than the iPhone
I agree some things are good but they're loosing their way slowly becoming 🍎 2.0...
I would seriously consider the plus model on my next upgrade cycle if they give it the Snapdragon chip where I am. The ultra is pretty wide, too wide for my hands when combined with most cases. I've had to order in one of those super thin aramid fibre ones in order to manage.
The microphone is great!! What kind of sony microphone is it?!
I don’t know. It was $19.99 on Amazon 😂
I love this phone so far coming from s20+. i am fairly disappointed seeing downgrades on s21, s22, s23, i was almost surrender to bite the downgrade bullet to s23, glad samsung did the right thing to s24+, got a 512GB deals, its a exynos but so far its been great, very happy, good job samsung
Excellent reviews as always!
Thanks again!
I think I wanted to see the different options of what Android and Chinese have to offer but i would prefer to buy the Iphone 16 when it comes out. I am kind of sick of androids.
Great content. Your Mike sounds great. Out of both 👂
Thanks so much! Glad it’s better this time lol
I’m hoping for a 2024 Thinkphone. I know that you will be jumping on that phone when it launches.
I hope it happens
Great video. Really loving my s24 ultra😊
Great to hear!
0:31 It had a Dynamic AMOLED 2X.
Watching it from my s24+.
So far so good, some issues i had with my s22 are still here like Spotify and google maps doesn't work well together (i had to uninstall the update on maps to make it work)
s24 is the one to get in usa !
Your the reason I got the 24+!
Nice! Hope you’re enjoying it
@@TechOdyssey I am. I had the s22 ultra and after two years I barely used the s-pen. With all the updates the s24+ received it was a no brainer. Thanks and keep doing a great and honest job
Watching this on my s24 plus
Nice!
The exynos 2400 is actually pretty great!!!
I've heard good things about it
Hello. Should i get s23 Ultra or S24+
What was your fav Sony phone in 2023? I can't remember. Looking to buy a new high end android and I don't want anything Google pixel.
Xperia 1 V
Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that nothing moves on the AOD? I have a clock, notification icons and the battery percentage, but they all stay in place when my AOD is active. Prior to 6.1, the items on the AOD moved around to prevent burn-in.
I saw tests for moving cats with the Ultra, seems like they stil have that focus/shutter issue even if it is a bit faster. Have you seen that in your testing so far?
No. I haven't
It's a great phone, just got mine .
I preoroded without trade in from google fi for 449. Wish it would ship though its back ordered til next month. Also mad I chose marble instead of violet
Ugh. That stinks. Such a long delay
@TechOdyssey the ship date got changed to yesterday but fedex delayed it. Hopefully they didn't lose my package or give me an empty box like they did with my s22 lol
Are the speakers improved?
Is the extra for the S24+ worth it over Pixel 8 Pro ?
How’s the camera speed and photo blurriness?
Best video so far
Thank you!
I know people who love their Samsung 22 ultra, but they despise having to trade it in for a new phone or pay in full. & Most people with Android don't pay premiums for the latest and greatest some see it as pointless.
If you buy a $1000 phone and keep it 3 years before the next upgrade, it's just over $1 a day. How much do you pay for a coffee?
I don’t. lol
S24+ while improved on feature parity with the Ultra, it lacks gorilla armour glass. I can live without the 5x zoom, but the glass reflection in the ultra is top notch!
Get an anti reflective screen protector
@@TechOdyssey I used it before in a few phones I have. Colour shifted or not as vibrant
Are the cameras better than pixel 7? The 24 plus has a telephoto lens . But how is the picture quality compared to pixel 7 ?
S24 trashed by pixel
I thought iPhone copied the Always On from Samsung? I got the S24+ last week. 👍🏽
I like 100x zoom so my choice is s24u
Go for it
The only reason that I would choose Samsung over anybody else is the hundred time zoom.
Adam if you don’t know which pocket your ultra is in your pockets are too big lol
MY OnePlus 12 FOR $799 is SO MUCH BETTER I JUST CANT SAY THE 24+ IS BETTER THEN THE ONPLUS 12 AT ALL IMO.
Why are you using full capitals ?why are you even putting this on here? Why aren’t you on a Oneplus 12 video? Why do you care if people like the galaxy S 24 better. Yeah for sure the one +12 is a good phone but there’s definite positives to the S 24+ say like the longer software updates I know you might not think that’s a big deal but I know many people who have an S-10e that would keep it if it still got updates or even an S9 is still a really good phone but it doesn’t get updates he has 24 is gonna get updates of time and be a really good phone for a long time. Anyway enjoy your phone don’t take all the stuff so seriously
@@jejunamja I'm expressing my opinion. I had the s9 and 10e they were decent phones but I've been enjoying my OnePlus experience Way more then I ever had with a Samsung Galaxy for 4 phones now . I'm allowed to dislike Samsung on a Samsung video 😆
You haven't used a Samsung phone in 4 years. I'd say you don't know what you're talking about, but it's ok that you prefer Ones plus 12. It's a great phone. As is this phone.
@@TechOdyssey I definitely know what I'm talking about I have a fold 3 I just personally think for the money for what you get for money for 799 the OnePlus 12 is a way better package.
@@metalcrip89 the OnePlus 12 is a great phone but certainly not better in every way. Some ways, yes. Some ways, no.
Is there actually a difference between the FHD and 1440P ? Why can't i see it ? 😂 Help
Always on Display first came into Androids than iOS. What are you even saying bro.
Every S series phone had OLED screens since the inception.
What phone do you use?
I got the s24+ the only harp i have on it is the audio. It sounds worse than my s20fe. Sounds like its in a can. Tinny and quiet. I have to download a sound boost to get it right
Interesting my s24 Plus sounds really good I wonder why some people say the speakers are really good and some people are having problems
If Samsung could get iMessage it’s game over Apple
I think I'll be going from the s23 ultra to the s24 plus
Well tech odyssey, Samsung /Android did come up with AOD first. So it doesn't matter if samsung implemented it the same way Apple did
I didn't say they invented it. I said they copied the way apple did it
@@TechOdyssey i just said that but it shouldn't matter because Apple didn't come up with it🤷🏽
@@King_Edward97 who cares?
Being a long time Note user, I will choose the Ultra over the Plus. I think the European audience might pass over the Plus since they don't have the SD inside.
Not every phone is for everyone
@@TechOdyssey I agree. I'm just stating my taste. The S24+ is great for everyone else not looking for a stylist or a bigger phone.
They are not trying to emulate Apple, there's only so much you can do with a rectangle and 3 holes.
They obviously are
The problem with the Galaxy s24 plus its that its physically identical to other cheaper samsung phones like the S23 FE, A54, A34, etc. The s24 plus lacks personality in the Samsung line up. The s24 ultra has its own identity. It's still a good phone but if I was to buy the s24 plus I would rather consider the S23 FE at a cheaper price and almost the same experience.
I upgraded from s20 fe. It's different, 24+ is bigger and feels different.
My current contract is 2 yrs and ends in 1 and a half years. Have the 23Ultra and have no issue waiting for S25 Ultra Maybe try to hold off to get S26 Ultra as soon as it comes out meaning every 2 yrs get the brand new model as soon as it comes out and not 5 months later. Phone updates don't really effect me since never in my life had a phone over 2 to 3 yrs. At that point change is nice. If they could lower prices and offer less yrs upgrade would be even better.
Are you going to use the s24+ as you main phone instead of the S24 ultra
If it had a stylus I would
i think Samsung must get rid the regular s24 , and concentrate on the plus and ultra models in the next generations .
That would be interesting
Does it have the AI ?
Traded a s22 ultra for this phone. Much better feel in the hand and much lighter. The Ultra is way too awkward to hold and too heavy. Only thing I don't like about it is it's obvious Samsung is making a clone of the iphone.
That's exactly why I didn't keep my s24 plus. I liked it but it was so on the nose what they were trying to do
I'm returning mine. Why Samsung wants to emulate the iphone is just plain lazy and stupid. @@TheDanimal91
