The Skitarri Marshal pushed into the battle-scarred building, instantly crouching behind a pile of debris. Just around the corner a clutch of Eldari swooping hawks surveyed their surroundings, the rangers they had just blasted still lay smoking on the floor. The Marshal raised his voxcaster, his voice a controlled screech. He sent a message directly to the now-leaderless War Robots a full block away. "Machine units, fire on my position." The obedient Robots turned and poured phosphor-blasts into the wrecked structure, blowing loose masonry and plaster everywhere as the Hawks were incinerated. The Marshal stood alone, spared from the fusilade by chance, or the advanced targeting arrays of an age long gone.
Despite maybe appearing like a big TH-cam creator our team is limited in the armies we own. For factions we don't personally have we rely on the incredible awesomeness of our guests. Hopefully we can expand our studio collections in the future
@@PlayOnTabletop I've never played WH40k but out of the blue was surprised with a set of Skitarii Rangers this Christmas. My budget and attention span put me firmly in Kill Team territory, so I'd love to see Tak and his AdMechs in a KT game sometime!
Every time you guys upload a 40k battle report, I get so excited! As a new guy, your videos were always easy to understand, and this channel has taught me everything I know about playing tabletop. Cheers to another season! Hope to see more Guard with the new codex!
I saw the title and I wonder ‘Admech has no chance, I’m gonna wait and watch it tomorrow’ Then I saw a fun list of so many aspect warriors, an Autarch and a Falcon. The game was closer than I thought. Tak has the gut to bring Admech that is not Veteran Cohort and still managed to have a close game. Kudos to Tak
This channel has the absolute best format of presenting battles in my opinion. I was a new player some months back when I first watched this channel and I absorbed SO MUCH information without knowing anything because of this format! Thank you for that
Rupert is such a chill player, and his early screen time on POTT inspired me to start my ynarri force, which is now big enough it includes a titan. Rupert, my wallet will never forgive you (:
@@duetbreaker the mistake wasn’t the roll, it was he had missed key information about the situation. Plus TAK offered it to him, prob because he was having the worst rolls of anyone on the channel possibly and he was being a champ about it
Tak is one of my favourite players. I re watch his ultramarines battles all the time. Loving the ad mech can’t wait to see how this plays out. And I love rapid redeployment. I used it in my last 2 games which I won
I like this channel very much. I started with 4 friends to play wh40k half a year a go. As a new player, I am playing with the Ultramarines. We play 500pts games to learn. But we allready enjoy community, painting models, collecting and try out strategies. This channel inspires what a community as friends can achieve. Good luck to all you guys with the channel and play on!
So great report, love to see Ynnari show up. For future reference I you cannot have multiple copies of a fate dice. It counts as 1 instance of its given roll per turn.
u cant regain more than one cp per round, so seer off the shifting vector doesnt work when u gained cp from spell, also visarch doesnt give rerolls of one to hit for falcon because it isnt core
Rupert said he hasn't played any 40k since the last finals, which was 8th edition, so both mistakes are understandable! It cuts both ways; he probably didn't realize just how much he could exploit battle focus on the swooping hawks, so he deployed them in plain old deep strike, which was probably a mistake.
It's great seeing guys from your early episodes make a comeback. Mike, Alex, and now Rupert! Makes me wonder what Sterling and his hat are up to... Also, I hope you guys got Rupert to stick around for an army showcase. Those converted units and free-hand work looked incredible.
"I shoot the Balistarius" "The Balistarius or the Dragoon?" "The Dragoon, that's why I said the Dragoon" Like ma dude, if you're gonna be the cheaty guy, don't act cocky about it to make your opponent feel bad 🤣
I am new to Warhammer 40k and I have found watching your channel to be really helpful in understanding the mechanics of the game and figuring out which army I want to invest in and play. 😁
Phantasm redeploy does not work like this. You have to place these units INSIDE your deployment zone, you can't use advanced positions, scout abilities, etc.
Does it? Reading the stratagem it doesn't specify needing to redeploy them in your deployment zone: "Use this Stratagem at the start of the first battle round, before the first turn begins. Select up to three ASURYANI, HARLEQUINS or YNNARI units (excluding TITANIC units) from your army and redeploy them. If the mission uses the Strategic Reserves rules, any of those units can be placed into Strategic Reserves without having to spend any additional CPs, regardless of how many units are already in Strategic Reserves. If both players have abilities that redeploy units, roll off; the winner chooses who redeploys their units first. You can only use this Stratagem once."
Is there a army showcase planned for clearly the best army on this channel? We need close-ups on those Eldar.... All of them, with tutorials/how to's how he did the conversions..
What's the deal with Rupert and the sword? Lucky charm? Anyway another great 40k in 40m,armies & table look superb. Interesting watching how all the different factions handle. Thank you for a very entertaining game. Also does anyone else keep expecting JT to end with "Good fight, Good night"? Lol
Just because of this channel it makes me want to learn how to play 40k. I was always interested in the lore but never played it or owned any minis. What would be a good group to really start learning? I was leaning towards Guards/Votann/Choas/Necrons or Space Marines. Would love feed back on what to choose. Thanks and Love all the videos.
based off of lore, aesthetic, and general playstyle pick which army you like the most. also ive heard that a low model count army is easier for beginners to wrap their head around
All I know about warhammer is from dawn of war soulstorm onr of my fav games. It's cool to see units I've never heard of. Wish I could get into the tabletop version.
Could just be that perhaps I might have been distracted while watching this battle report. But the editing felt like it was hard to follow along with the overall flow of the game. Even JT at 32:45 mentioned being confused

Love this visual! Great storytelling
that falcon in rupert's army is absolutely stunning.
It is always a joy to see in studio
Absolutely gorgeous! The freehand art on everything from the script on the falcon to the blossoms on the bikes, amazing stuff!
Amazing painting job on that Ynnari army!
A passion project that has paid off. We think it looks great too
Indeed! Amazing designs.
Great battle, loved seeing these two under appreciated armies.
Glad you enjoyed it as we want to give screen time to as many factions we can get our hands on
@@PlayOnTabletop please do! Seems like a lot of Orks, Space Marines, and Tau on the channel. Could just be short term memory lol

I really appreciate that! I hope fellow Adeptus Mechanicus players enjoy seeing their faction played because I do enjoy playing the faction a lot!

Another great battle report from the Play On studio! You guys have the best editing and production style for BRs.
Love seeing Rupert’s Ynnari in action. Ynnari in general are such underdogs. Especially how he’s played his list.

The fact that not only did dragoons actually accomplish something, they killed three important units is a miracle.

You definitely are allowed multiple copies of a fate dice. The example in the codex is keeping 2,2,5,5, and using all of them.
The audible "Oh no!" from off camera caught me off guard and I'm dying 🤣
i love the entire design choice of Rupert's army looking all based with the Sakura style paint job to it
