Omg this game was boring, 3 guys punching one with no lands and no action.
Yeah I have to agree with most people here that the game was just kinda bs with the Gisa bug just giving Crim ridiculously unfair value and then he made sure he could get it back as well which is just more bs.
So if I understand the interaction between Containment Priest and Gisa correctly: it's a static replacement effect, so it's still Gisa exiling cards, and her effect with priest on board technically reads "at the beginning of your upkeep, put all creature cards exiled with Gisa into exile. They gain decayed." Since it's still cards exiled with Gisa, she would then still keep seeing the same cards each time until Containment Priest leaves and her original text brings them back.
I can't find any rulings on this specific interaction, so unless there's something I'm missing or a new ruling is made, this works.
Unless there was a problem I missed with Gisa seeing cards die or get exiles its controller controlled, or exiled cards exiled by another effect resolving; there were no actual bugs and this is the intended interaction.

this game was somewhat miserable. The whole game warped around the bug of Gisa. And that feels just terrible...
Will you ban the card on CC until the bug is fixed?
All the decks were pretty cool, I don't know why they just rolled with the bug.
Yeah, not sure why you wouldn't just restart and take the bugged card out. It was 2hrs of a game that wasn't the real game

I wouldn't go so far as to say it was miserable but I mostly agree. Should just restart when it happens that early.
What really gets to me about it though that is once it's finally removed from the board, it just gets reanimated. Like, come on.
I'd have quit and removed the bugged card before continuing the game lol. I wouldn't have accepted playing through that. You guys do play live though so eh chalk it up to mtgo I guess lol.

I'll be honest, I didn't want to watch after such a huge MODO bug. I just stopped watching.
I'm honestly kinda disappointed with this episode. Between Gisa giving incorrect value and Richard being mana screwed all game, it was kinda hard to get invested in the game.

Agreed. The path was funny and all, but the way the rest of the game played out definitely was not enjoyable. (Particularly given that Crim, SHOULD have let the bugged Gisa get exiled, instead of taking step to ensure that he would get a broken card back.)

The gisa really wouldn't be that much of a problem if not for the bug though, being forced to use anguish unmaking because of a bug is really annoying
Unless its an active threat to him its better to get others to use their resources and save your own
Yeah, I think they should've restarted after the first Gisa bug, took her out, and played a new game. Love the content but having an entire game around interactions that weren't supposed to happen feels like someone knowing they're cheating but wanting the win bad enough to keep doing it.
Still love the content but this was probably the hardest one to enjoy.
Exactly! Crim should have pretended like he didn't have those creatures on battlefield never attacking with them or sacing them as quickly as possible, and he definitely should not have gotten Gisa back on the battlefield. I would have just killed her with his commander's ability.

I’m sorry to say that, but the game was rather lame this time. I was expecting some interesting tactical decisions and alliances versus strongest player and instead have seen just Richard got bullied without ability to defend himself and rather unlogical aggro towards him from Crim. I dropped watching from a boompile moment. This is a shame, cuz usually commander clashes are enjoyable regardless who is the winner.
They do this a lot on commander clash, give up, play for second and actually help the person in the lead .... so annoying.
I think crim was afraid of cyclonic rift type effects from the blue player.

The new visuals are fun! The match itself was a bit hard to watch, though I’m glad the crew seemed to have fun.
Everyone wants to win, but it’s unsporting to exploit a bug and I don’t enjoy content where players do that. :I
This second place obsession is out of hand, too. Perhaps in future the person/people who finished the prior week in second place should say “clash on”? :p
always love Clash, but this one was pretty brutal to watch... game warped around a bugged card, despite getting a huge bug advantage Crim taking out the player who basically didnt play any magic, then also choosing to get back a bugged card seems really cheaty and i totally would not like to be playing in that game. I get that people have to die, but this one seemed pretty wrong taking out the person who has done nothing, not really in the spirit of sportsmanship
this one definitely would have benefited from a restart!
But it's so ridiculous as is.
Crim really needed to get rid of his own Gisa to make this game playable for the others. felt really cheaty to me
using a Gisa that bugged seems unsporting
I didnt enjoy this game, it was warped by Gisa bug and any honest player would try to avoid taking advantage of it as much as possible. It had to be super demoralizing for Phil. Also the pointless kill on Richard (of whom half of the game was POV of) really was cherry on the top of tedium and non fun this game represented.

Like if the gang always abused bugs i would just understand thats how the table plays. But I know I have seen richard or tomer think something was a bug and say they just wouldnt do that thing. I get he cant control what he gets back, but he can control how he uses what he gets back. and using them to slaughter richard just was rude af. Which I guess being the villian is crims jam sooo eh?
Phil’s groans of agony at Crim abusing that bug all game is the perfect description of this match…

This game was a rough watch, mana screwed played, bugged Gisa that warped the whole game, bugged allies that nerfed Seth's deck. Gotta be pretty high on the list of worst games in a long while
Not a big fan of this game. Crime blatant abusing the bug really robbed me of enjoyment.
Crim bringing back Gisa when he knows its bugged and abusing the bug made this an awful game to watch. just a terrible game and intentional abuse of a bug makes me like Crim a lot less.

It was my hope too. Love the setting so much 😍 such a shame the legendary Lu Xun did such a poor showing. I wouldn't like to go back to be going back to Wu after such a defeat...
I mean, it’s bad form of Crim in this episode to abuse the MTO bug the way he did. It’s honestly soo off putting as a viewer.

At 17:22, Phil should have killed general Kudro with lightning helix, created a 1/1 token from that, and then double blocked the Drannith Magistrate(now a 1/3 again) with the token and the Hero of Precinct One. Of course, it's harder to spot these things in game.
Was thinking the same, it was pretty obvious as well, right at the start of the game.. Could've been a sweet lession for evil crim :D It also would've killed the broken gisa interaction.
I'd like to go back to Crim getting mana screwed. Also lame of Seth to finish Richard off after the other lame malarkey. Phil's reaction to it being not fun was very accurate.
All casual EDH players are Phil in this game. Seriously, if anyone pulled a Crim like that in one of my games, they would no longer be welcome at my table

Crim is so incredibly scummy this game. You shouldn't use bugs like this. Honestly, you should have restarted the game as soon as the bug appeared for the first time and Crim should have exchanged her for something else.

Richard Richard Richard...... never trust Crim, ever. Also very scummy for Crim to get back a bugged creature from the yard. The other CC members try to mitigate bugged effects on the game.
I think Richard was totally right to feed esper sentinel in the beginning, if Seth and Phil wanted his cooperation while he was behind, they shouldn't have kept attacking him
Crim undercounted, he has 10 boardwipes in that deck, 10. . . Deadly Vanity, Elspeth, Damn, Winds of Abandon, Toxic Deluge, Kaya's Wrath, Austere Command, Merciless Eviction, Ondu Inversion, and meathook massacre. That is excessive.
I feel like Crim has showed 0 sportmanship this week. In multiple occasions

- "hiding" the foretold card and then misleading the others into "oops, i told it was the angel (you can call it buffer, but im not sure)
But the biggest thing was abusing Gisa bug, even if he couldnt stop them, he should have treated those creatures as if not in field, since most was exiled.
Also, destroying Richard’s sol ring was very uncool. You can see that even Phil wasnt happy about how the bug thing was played

to be fair, the swords thing was the right thing to do in a vacuum. They always say "kill Richard first" and usually never do and T1 commander is something scary when you don't know what's in his hand. Hiding foretold cards is part of the game. When I play Mtgo, i don't go in chat to say "btw, I just foretold a card", other players should follow the board state and refer to the log and bluffing which card is foretold is 100% fair play. Gisa should have been sacced at the first occasion though but I also blame Seth for having an answer for pretty much all game in Anguished Unmaking and doing nothing with it until T10. The Sol Ring thing is just bad because allies are also bugged. all artifacts should have been destroyed if the allies had triggered properly.

I might be missing something, but on Crim's turn 4, couldn't Phil have Helix'd Kudro and then blocked the Magistrate with Hero + the token to kill it as a 1/3? Then he'd go into his turn with the Hero still on the field.
Yup, would've been the ideal play.

this is a bad game its one thing for a modo screw up with cards but to actively use it for value is just straight up unfun to watch.

Tomer still is master of politics. He managed to introduce "Clash on" right before he left for the season and made everyone else continue say it instead.
You should keep track of who you vote for at the end of matches next season and put that on the end of season rankings too!
"This is not fun anymore with Gisa", bro anytime I face any black deck in casual commander it's always full of Gonti shenanigans, Tergrid fairness, and more mana than monogreen... Black is never fun to play agaisnt. Also, as Richard has said for years, play more interaction.

I'm 90 seconds in, and I love it. Shout out to Richard: I LOVE RotTK (the book), and I played Dynasty Warriors 4 & 5 a ton as a kid! My sister and I still play every year during our sibling day. :)
Yeah I also love the three kingdoms era, really wish Lu Xun could've shined, but oh well. I like Koei's strategy games of it more but DW is also good fun.
I so was waiting on Phil to pop on some circle glasses and rock the Where's Waldo look.. :D

Not trying to be a downer here but Crim just outright cheated this whole game. Like getting back the creatures that you shouldn’t have with gisa wasn’t an option but doing things with those creatures was cheating. You should make him say clash on because cheaters finish last!

The one thing about CC that I've grown to dislike is that the players will give up trying to win and go for second place or gang up on a struggling player to secure that they won't be dead last.

I've been trying to make Hero of Precinct one decks and work in modern since it's release. Sadly it just always gets killed before it matters. The rest of the deck has to be built where hero doesn't matter but if it sticks the opponent for sure dies but you can still win without hero.

hard agree with everyone else, seeing an entire game warp around a bugged card ruins the fun. i hope you enjoyed the game, but it just doesn't make for enjoyable content on the viewer side. hopefully you can avoid letting this happen in the future

Maybe the Hero of Precinct One came back because Gisa was the card that triggered General Kudro, so MTGO thought that it exiled the card? This is clearly wrong, but it's my best guess.
Also, I think the Containment Priest / Gisa interaction was also a bug, but not for the obvious reason. It's because of the interaction of these rules:
406.6. An object may have one ability printed on it that causes one or more cards to be exiled, and another ability that refers either to "the exiled cards" or to cards "exiled with [this object]." These abilities are linked: the second refers only to cards that have been exiled due to the first.
406.7. If an object in the exile zone becomes exiled, it doesn't change zones, but it becomes a new object that has just been exiled.
So technically, when Gisa's second ability resolves and tries to return cards to the field, Priest replaces that with moving them to exile as new objects. They're still exiled by *Gisa,* but by the wrong ability. The second ability doesn't normally exile things, so it's not linked to itself, only to the first ability. However, this is a pretty subtle interaction and it's not surprising MTGO would get it wrong.
The Clash On punishment is the best thing you have added in the last year.
not a fan of this week at all. richard getting screwed by the same player that proceeds to bring back a bugged card made me feel like i was watching a bully. not saying thats what happened... but the feel of these is important, didnt feel fair at all, and gross in view of violating the rules.
I usually laugh at the MODO bugs; but despite the intent from crim, this one just felt awful. That and this week seemed really cool... and now its gone. If you guys aren't even going to take this seriously why am i even watching?

Watching Seth hold a Kindred Dominance and an Anguished Unmaking the whole game tilts me. Complaining about the Gisa the whole time.

Only 7 wraths in your creature deck, Crim? I run 8 and an Infest in my hell which is largely a demon deck. Slacking really.
You can't fault white for the one thing it's good at. White can't draw, but it can make you not want to play magic. 😏 fair is fair.
