We were looking at the Alto and thought that we wouldn't have enough space, but I think we were wrong. I'm impressed at all the things you were able to pack inside that small camper. We opted for a Casita instead and are happy with our decision. It doesn't have the same wow factor as the Alto when that roof goes up, but it's still cute. Thanks for sharing!
We’ve had those bins for about 12 years, they originally held cloth diapers. :) I’ve measured them, though and they are about 10.5” x 19” Anything roughly that size and soft sided would probably work. We got ours at Target, but I’m sure Amazon will also have many choices. I did just grab a few more soft sided bins in the Target dollar section, right as you walk in the door…
Thanks for sharing! Will you be posting a tour? I’d love to see how it looks with the bunk down and how you move around with a family of four! Love your packing tips, and the cute cat!
@@QuailSnail Great video. Following to see how you stow the kids for sleeping. We have two as well and wondering what the configuration and space would be like, especially since my husband is 6'3".
@@samanthahicks4253 Glad it was helpful! The space works pretty well, and we're a tall group too. My husband is 6'1" and I'm 5'10" and the boys are growing fast. I'll try to make a detailed video about the bunks and sleep arrangements soon.
Very useful! Where do the electronics (laptops, tablets, game boys, etc.) go? I'm assuming they ride in the tow vehicle, but once camp is set up, where do you put them?
Hi Anita, it totally varies depending on what we've packed, what we're doing that day and what spaces are available.... especially now that we travel with our cats. Usually our tech is close to hand, either in the bunk of the user if we are "at home" or in the tow vehicle if we are out and about.
I had seen an R1713, but mostly we'd seen photos, and the "How It's Made" video. If you haven't joined the Altoistes Facebook group, I'd recommend it. Lots and lots of discussion about the pros and cons of various Alto models, lots of photos of how people use their Altos and generally a very nice community of folks. It's open to people who own Altos and people who are considering purchasing an Alto.

The Casitas are super cute!! I know you'll have lots of fun camping in it. Let us know if you come up with any good packing tips!
This is great knowledge. I’m a new owner to be of a R1723.
Glad you enjoyed it, and welcome to the Alto family!
Awesome!
Thanks!
Can you post a link for those packing bins? They seem to fit the back storage area perfectly.

Thank you for sharing! We are in Bay Area and thinking about one Alto R1723 just like yours. Did you purchased it without see it in-person?
