Martinez, Cash, Moreno, Mings, Kamara, Tielemans, Buendia, Ramsey, Bailey, Zaniolo and Rogers. We finished above those teams because we have a better squad and manager than them and will probably finish above them next season as well.....

Neither of Haaland’s shots on goal were even close to being offside and they were both better chances than anything Villa worked throughout the match. Stones Alvarez and Lewis is a midfield 3 that that’s never played together in any other game and none of them are even usually midfielders at all.
U need to let Pep know cause even he said they was out played and the better team won . And one of the two shots would have been offside .

Most of the Villa players were there before Emery and Monchi. Diaby and Torres were the two big signings. Torres was incredible for us. Diaby started well but really didn't have a great season

Villa didn't bottle anything, we started the season with 4 first team players missing and that's as good as it got, we were missing 7 or 8 most weeks and Emery never mentioned it, wouldn't allow it to be an excuse. We went further than any other club in Europe and were visibly running on empty towards the end.
Ignoring the final game which meant nothing and was used as a run out for squad players our final 6 competitive league games were 2 wins, 3 draws, 1 defeat.
Such a great show, I allways look forward to it.

Back in march it was looking like Everton relegation all the way. Luton looked destined to stay up. Luton manager has to be praised for his achievements with the squad and funds he had to keep it close till the end.

If you see what he's done in 18 months at Aston Villa it's incredible & only having a net spend of £80 million over the last 3 transfer windows, that's £25 million less than Arsenal spent on Declan Rice this summer alone. Unai Emery has not just bought success,but improved what he had at his disposal,to get top 4 in his 1st full season only behind 3 clubs that have spent a king's ransom over many years in Liverpool 9 years, Manchester city 8 years & Arsenal 5 years in the making is elite management at it's finest,context must be taken into account in this debate. Unai Emery has taken Villa from 17th to 4th & champions league qualification in 18 months,how can any other manager better that?
