    It's been a long time coming, but it's finally here-- the Nesquik episode! An in-depth review of each type of Nesquik (low fat, double chocolate, protein power, and whole milk) in addition to reviewing the iconic Nesquik Powder vs. the Nesquik Syrup. Even Nestle Chuckie earns an appearance given its global appeal. While no animals were harmed in the making of this video, my pride and taste buds took a minor beating.
    Afoolzerrand is on a mission to find the best chocolate milk the world has to offer. And perhaps the worst. And of course everything in between.

    yooo a few months ago I found your channel and I couldn't believe I found a channel dedicated to reviewing chocolate milk. I bought the Straus one you reviewed a while ago and it certainly is 10/10. you sir are doing the lord's work!!!

      Great to hear! Very much appreciate the feedback, lots more to come! Gotta review the good with the bad (hence this video) but I've been fortunate enough to have some of the best chocolate milk around. Can't wait to go back west and knock back some Straus-- that's great stuff! 😋

      Dude I loveeeeee Strauss, I liked it before I found this channel, and I was so nervous yet excited to see what he rated it 😂

      Haha- nice! Some of my older videos are a little rough (hopefully they've gotten better over the years) but I'm dying to get back to CA to do the state properly-- there's lots of great stuff out there but it's so damn big!😅

    Pretty fair reviews and nicely done! Like the music choices on this as well....

      Thanks for checking it out! And yeah, some pretty brutal cuts in this one-- all music creds in the description as usual!

    As a diehard fan of strawberry milk, the powder vs syrup paradox had me stumped for a long time too. But tbh I gotta go with syrup, nesquik powder is good but not nearly as much sugar or flavor - more on the subtle side. and i'd choose hersheys over nesquik syrup any day, but I guess that's just me lol
    nesquik cereal tho?? now that is straight up THE best chocolate cereal of all time. OF ALL TIME.

    • @afoolzerrandcom
      @afoolzerrandcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey no worries-- the fact that you've tried them and formed an opinion puts on the same team anyway! Taste is subjective, and I'm all for people discovering what works best for them. I TOTALLY have been looking for Nesquik cereal for the last couple months (to give it a mention in this video) and have not been able to find it(!). Do they for sure still make it? And if so, where have you seen it? Cheers! 🤜🤛

    Always enjoy watching your videos. If someone had told me years ago that someone could make a video channel solely for the purpose of reviewing Chocolate Milk I would have told them that they were nuts. Here you are and here I am. Crazy world. You make this channel work, keep up the good work.👍
    By the way, loved the Skunk fart, LMAO 😂

      @afoolzerrandcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, thanks so much for the kind words, very much appreciated man! It's a pretty niche channel, and I do it for the love (obviously) not doing anything to promote/monetize/etc.. I feel like that would corrupt the content to an extent-- my only motive is to be honest, provide some exposure (especially to the local dairies), try to make it marginally entertaining, and to work on my production skills, which have come a long way, but have an eternity to still go. Haha yeah the flatulent skunk has made quite a few appearances over the years-- he's become the unofficial mascot I suppose 😬. Thanks again!
      🤜🤛

    It’s difficult and frustrating to even try and explain to someone what quality chocolate milk is like…most folks haven’t tried anything other than what’s at the major grocery stores…they must be enlightened!
    Still sad we weren’t able to connect up in NC back in February. I hope to be back soon.

    • @afoolzerrandcom
      @afoolzerrandcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Completely agree-- people often like what they know, and don't know what they like. I'm guilty of that in so many other respects, just not when it comes to chocolate milk I guess. So much great stuff out there!
      No worries- holler if you're ever back in the area and have a few minutes to spare. I'll likely be in AVL for a long time. Cheers man!

    The powder and premade used to taste so much better than it does now. In the early 90's. Today, Mexican Nesquick powder tastes better. I sometimes get Choco Milk.

    • @afoolzerrandcom
      @afoolzerrandcom  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree that it used to be better. I wish there was a way that we could have the old & new versions side-by-side, since memory and nostalgia can warp over time. But I'm with you that it's gotten worse!

    Grew up on powdered Nesquik so also biased. Don't enjoy the syrup in milk but it is definitely more multipurpose imo (ex. milkshakes, ice-cream topping, a flurry on a fancy pancake breakfast, straight into the mouth). Great review as usual!

    • @afoolzerrandcom
      @afoolzerrandcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a great point that I didn't bring up-- the further versatility of the syrup, and yeah, the straight into the mouth is an underrated play! Thanks for checking it out and for the comment as well 👍

    Great review! I've always been a powder guy as well due to how Hersey syrup tastes. I've never seen the Nestle syrup, will definitely give it a try next time.
    My wife is originally from Manila and now wants some of the Philippines chocolate milk you were showing.

    • @afoolzerrandcom
      @afoolzerrandcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cool man- check out the Nesquik syrup and let me know how it goes-- it's a different experience from the powder for sure. That's great about your wife-- have you been able to visit Philippines? Tons more chocolate milk to get there for me, though I was able to find quite a bit in the short time I was there. Thanks for checking out the video!

      @@afoolzerrandcom oh yeah, we've been back several times. Two of her sisters have lived in Japan for about 15 years, so we try to visit either Japan or Philippines every 2-3 years or so... But we just had a little one recently, so it'll be a bit before our next trip I'm sure.

      @afoolzerrandcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ps-the nesquik high protein choc milk gets it done post workout

    • @afoolzerrandcom
      @afoolzerrandcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man! No judgment here-- you do you, and at least the price is right on the GV stuff. I hear ya on the post-workout stuff-- I was comparing it to normal chocolate milk, but it's actually decent when you consider other high-protein "chocolate milks" like Pure Protein, Slate, etc.. which are super nasty. Thanks again for checking it out👍

  • @danielvutran

    Did not know they had different qualities!!!

    • @afoolzerrandcom
      @afoolzerrandcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, the powder and syrup are particularly different, as are the ingredients of them. The powder ingredients read a lot 'cleaner' than the syrup (which actually contains Red 40, Blue 1, and Yellow 6 dyes-- among other things). Try at your own risk 😉

  • @AdamDaubauew
    @AdamDaubauew 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Although this was painful for you, I’m glad you did it. Not enough people know how bad this stuff truly is and they are giving it to their kids and probably believe chocolate milk isn’t that great because this is their primary experience.

    • @AdamDaubauew
      @AdamDaubauew 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, I prefer syrup but I go for the Hershey syrup usually and whole milk. Just mixes better with the milk in my experience. I haven’t had the nesquik syrup so it’s like your video said. Really don’t care for the badly mixed powder.

    • @afoolzerrandcom
      @afoolzerrandcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Painful, yep, but in a somewhat of a pleasureful way-- it's fun to do the good ones and the bad ones. It's the average reviews that are a lot less interesting. But yeah, a little embarrassing to have to buy the stuff (not that anyone notices or cares). Best of MD coming soon, but it'll take me a while to get it done since there's a lot going on😅

      @afoolzerrandcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The powder is decent for sure. Have you tried any other powders? The (relatively new) Cocoa Metro powder is super good and available online. It's expensive, but worth it in my opinion. 😋www.cocoametro.com/shop/cocoa-metro-belgian-chocolate-instant-drink-mix

    • @afoolzerrandcom
      @afoolzerrandcom  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know why they do-- but they must have a national contract with them or something to supply their milk and chocolate milk. Seems like it's been that way for years-- I don't know what they used to carry before that.

    MY DOCTORS ARE ALL OVER ME SAYING I NEED MORE PROTEIN , THOUGHT ABOUT TRYING IT BUT HAVE NOT. WHAT WOULD THINK IS BETTER THIS OR THE CHOCOLATE CARNITATION INSTANT BREAKFAST

    • @afoolzerrandcom
      @afoolzerrandcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Best to listen to the doctors and see what they recommend. From a purely taste standpoint, I've not had Carnation vs. Nesquik (powder) side-by-side, they are probably comparable. Might be better to go with the Carnation stuff as I believe it has added vitamins, etc. I'd recommend trying both and see what works best for you! Good luck with it!

    Remember how I said I'd send you some Swiss chocolate milk when you reach 1291 subs? How far along are you? Also, Nestle is already a Swiss brand, but it's not the real deal.

    • @afoolzerrandcom
      @afoolzerrandcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Could be a while 😅 just reached 1k, so at this rate, about another year and half! Ya, Switzerland wouldn't want to claim Nestle for sure-- I've had a fair bit of Swiss chocolate milk and have always enjoyed visiting there! Very generous of you to send something my way 👍 Here are the one's I've had thus far: www.afoolzerrand.com/home?category=Switzerland

    • @afoolzerrandcom
      @afoolzerrandcom  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, it's not great. I think they replaced it recently with 'Fudge Brownie' flavor, which might be the exact same stuff just a different name. It's still in the purple-accented bottle. Beware 😅
