Chocolate Milk Reviews |
In just one week of scouring the Beaver State, we go DEEP on the dairy scene and get into chocolate milk thicker than Prefontaine's mustache. Here we go through the crème de la crème of Oregon's chocolate milk scene in Top 10 format as we count down to number one-- what I'm calling the best chocolate milk from Oregon!
Afoolzerrand is on a mission to find the best chocolate milk the world has to offer. And perhaps the worst. And of course everything in between.

I picked up some Bennett family farm at the Tillamook cheese factory...one of the best
Nice! Yeah it's fantastic stuff-- I'd be in trouble if I lived in Tillamook-- they know what they're doing out there for sure! 😋
Great work. Extensive looks into things like this are always nice ti see. Umpqua is all i Remember from my milk drinking days but that seems ti just be the common one.
Thanks! It's definitely a niche subject, and it seems like Umpqua has a lot of nostalgic value for many Oregonians. Hopefully you can try some of the others in here-- I very much respect the state's commitment to local farms and food!
Good stuff
Lots of great stuff in Oregon, I hope I was able to do it justice in the video! 😅
Hopefully eggnog was a good consolation prize! Are you hitting anywhere else in the PNW?
Not on this trip-- it was a one-week visit to OR (vacation) in an attempt to *do* the state properly from a chocolate milk perspective. I did Washington a few years ago (but there are more there now that I need to try), and have been through Northern CA, UT, ID, MT-- straying from the PNW there a bit, but living in NC it's tough for me to get up there for any more than a week. Any recommendations?
Let’s gooo!
you got it buddy!
Insane dedication to this subject. I know you dont rate Fairlife highly, but their 30g Protein Drink might be the greatest beverage ever created by man. Good flavor, lengthy shelf life, national availability, good value $ per gram of protein, low sugar. A drink fit for kings.
Thanks for checking it out! I'm glad you like the 30g Protein Fairlife stuff-- and I hear you on the nutritional stats and $/g protein, etc-- 100% valid. I just review things on taste, and for me, it's like someone poured cooked milk through an ashtray and added wood glue (no other explanation for why the surface bubbles harden into a scummy film shortly after pouring it out). I hate to be negative, cuz ultimately if each person finds something they like, we're all better for it. Cheers, and happy drinking!😋
Sad to not see Lochmead in the top 10 but defenently some tough competition out there
Definitely- lots of great stuff in Oregon! I do think Lochmead is above average-- always look forward to hitting up a Darimart

Thanks for checking it out!
My friend the pro❤ #ilovechocolatemilk
Thanks- your'e the best! ♥️
How long before chocolate milk sours once opened?
Good question-- and the answer is it kinda depends. If it's ultra-pasteurized, it might last for a week or so after it's opened. A minimally-pasteurized milk (which tastes better in my view) is probably closer to 3 or 4 days after opening before it starts to turn.
Need to visit oregon just for this....
Would definitely recommend! Some gorgeous scenery along the way!
You didn't try them all
Very possible, but which one(s) am I missing? Thx
