    My dell Inspiron 15 5000 series still not working. the boot sequence screen looks different - no driver or Windows manager option on the very top (like yours). I replaced broken hard drive with a new Solid one and now can not start my computer. I Followed the video many times, diagnostic has all green checks, still: "No bootable devices found. possible a corrupt OS image or a boot device is not enabled in BIOS setup". Tried to install Windows via flashdrive (your previous video) - doesn't let me to do that too- asked for media driver. and Im back to square one. When I used a very old hard drive as a replacement - it was working. Am I having Solid State drive kinda problem. Can't figure out what's wrong.

      In BIOS is set on UEFI with Secure Boot On?
      As far as it asking for the Media Drive. This can be usually resolved by the following methods:
      Burn the installation DVD / USB at a slower speed.
      Use a better quality DVD / uSB to create the installation DVD/ USB.
      Update the BIOS firmware for your DVD / USB drive.

    I bought a Toshiba hard drive in November off Amazon and multiple times it has crashed, leaving me to have to format it and reinstall windows, since the last crash I have formatted the drive but when I go to reinstall windows it gives me a 0x80070057 error after delete partitions and click next when trying to reinstall windows, diagnostics show a red X when running a test.
    I have until January 31st to return this drive to Amazon, would you recommend I return it and buy one in person from best buy?

      If it was me I would return it. Sometimes you just get a lemon:/ even if you resolve the issue it could have caused damage to something else.

    I try using a bootable usb but then it shows arches overlapping and then the windows symbol, then loading, and then it keeps loading. I turned off secure boot to see if that helps, and disabled needing a password to hoot. Anything I can do

      Try tapping on F12 at start up and then select your USB. You can also try a different USB port sometimes it will only boot from certain ports. If you still can't get it to boot off of the USB then you try putting the USB first in the boot order although you will need to change back to the hard drive being first once you finish installing the operation system.

    How reliable do you think the Dell diagnostics are? Do you think it can miss a faulty hardware component? I have a Dell Inspiron 5482 w/windows 10 that is stuck in boot loop. (the dell logo with the loading symbol, then it switches to the dell logo and "preparing automatic repair" and back and fourth).
    I tried your method, and there were no changes. It says all of the hardware is good. I was messing with it for 4 hours, and the suddenly computer started 100% normally....I was confused. It ran PERFECTLY for 30 minutes (no lost data, running fast and normal). While using TH-cam, it slowed down, crashed suddenly, and back to the same boot loop. Could this be a hardware issue? Faulty memory maybe? This started to happen after I started to use Adobe Premier pro on a regular basis, but the problems persist even when I close out Adobe.
    Here's another weird thing: I tried to reinstall a fresh version of Windows 10 from a USB. I powered up, pressed F12, booted from the USB. The laptop does the exact same boot loop, except with a Windows logo instead of the dell logo..................then it shuts down and automatically tries to reboot by the windows boot manager/hard drive and I get the same dell logo all over again. It's super strange.

      The Dell diagnostic is pretty accurate with HARd Drives although they do sometimes say a hard drive is fine when it starting to fail.
      As far as installing Windows goes it is very important to have the settings in BIOS setup correctly. Do you BIOS do you have UEFI selected with secure boot on?
      As far as RAM goes the diagnostic is less accurate you are much better off manually testing the RAM.

      @@EggheadFixers Thank you for the help!!!!!! My BIOS does have UEFI selected and secure boot is enabled. The Dell diagnostic finally showed an issue with my hard drive (256 gb ssd). It showed "hard drive not found" ONCE, then when I re-scanned, it said the hard drive is okay. Eve though it currently shows all hardware is good, I suspect my HD is on its way out. I ordered a hard drive and a new 16gb memory card to see if that fixes the problem.

      @@SW20FL Yes it does sound like your hard drive is on its way out. Hopefully the new one will fix the issue:)

      @@EggheadFixers Update: Yup, it was the hard drive. The new hard drive (1 tb HDD installed along side the SSD) fixed the issued immediately. Installed the new copy of windows on the new HDD. Now I gotta replace the SSD lol it still tries to boot up from the SSD, but it eventually will load windows from the HDD and it runs perfectly normal.

    Hi, i have reset my dell laptop and that worked out, now it has to reinstall the windows and i had to get going so i just closed my laptop (stupid, i know). But now that im back home and i open up my laptop again it keeps showing me this message to restart my laptop so it can start over downloading windows. But now it just keeps showing me this message over and over again. I’ve tried doing some stuff in f2, f10 and f12 but neither worked so far….

    • @EggheadFixers
      @EggheadFixers  ปีที่แล้ว

      The computer needs to be completely shut off for f2 and f12 to be accessible so it could be you are restarting it too quickly. You should be able to reinstall Windows without a problem. Here is a video on how to do that:

    What if this didn’t work and it’s still doing the same thing

    • @EggheadFixers

      You can google your make and model to see if your model uses something different. Also if you tap on F12 it will take you to the boot screen. There you should be able to use your arrow keys to to select something like "BIOS Settings" or "Settings" and then hit enter. This will bring you to the same area as F2 does.

    Hi,
    I have a Dell 5537 whit amd 8850m but suddently it stopeed working and i reinstalled the windows 10 but now i can't install amd driver's, if I force it trought the device management my pc stay in a black screen and don't start windows. If I turn off the amd board he works fine. Any Idea what I can do ? I'm using the A12 BIOS version (latest one) and now the amd board won't work in any version of windows (I tryed W8.1 and 10).

    • @EggheadFixers
      @EggheadFixers  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry to hear that:( Sounds like there is a chance the boards died. If you find it works when its not installed but doesn't work when its installed then it most likely means it needs to be replaced. Let me know if you have anymore questions!!
