That is an excellent point and something I missed. That was not spelled out on the order guide and I forgot that from our training. Thank you. I will highlight your comment, so everyone is aware.
I was watching a video on that subject matter as well and what is interesting is that the 3 cylinder 1.5 eco boost still has more acceleration power than the older models aspirated 4 cylinder. They were also mentioning that during operation, the 3 cylinder engine will shut off one of the cylinders to add better fuel economy. Here's one particular note: 'The previous Escape also offered a 1.5-litre engine, but this totally new mill totes three cylinders instead of four, partnered with a transmission that grows the ratio count from six to eight. The combo of fewer cylinders and more gears, along with meaningfully trimmed vehicle weight and other measures, lowers fuel consumption by 16 per cent, according to the combined figure from Natural Resources Canada (20 per cent in city driving).' - The Globe and Mail.
I recently bought my 2020 Escape. I was looking for information on how to make best use of the features or to decide to disable or choose settings, etc. This video has been invaluable on learning how to use the features. The manual has so much information and all of the models mentioned...hard to decifer for someone who has always had used cars and the newest a 2003. This gave me some great information. Going out to mess with knobs and buttons and then for a drive to check out the various features, now and feel confident doing so. I watched several videos before this and learned more from this one than I did from all of the others, by far!
Love your video, we bought one the other day. Salesman was very nice went over everything but we could not gather all info as first car with all the bells and whistles on it. Went over book but was not clear on alot of buttons. You explained everything and we understood great job
Great Video. I just bought a new 2020 Ford Escape SE. less than a week ago. The salesman that sold me the car turned on the display as I was getting in the car and had the radio going. I got in the car today and realized my doors are not locking and I can't set my display. The only thing that shows up is Calm screen. I'm disappointed and hope it can be fixed soon. Does anyone know if the display can be rest?
This was awesome!!! Just bought one and this helped out a ton. Thank you! This might be a silly question - the digital dash on mine, when it’s on the speedometer, it doesn’t show the blue ring around it anymore? I drove it home from the dealership.. then when I turned it on again it looked similar to the background of the “calm screen”? Is there a way to get the blue ring back around the number? I just liked the look of it but I haven’t figured that out.
What is the block behind the rearview mirror under the windshield? Also what is the part number for the front license plate bracket? Thank you for clarifying everything in the video!
Does fog lights can be installed in this model? Do we need to buy only fog lights assembly or we also need to buy and install an extra switch to turn them on?
I was going to buy this SE trim level but I found out that 2021 for some reason Ford took away the automatic seat adjustment and put manual seat adjustment? Why? Also the rear ac vent is gone too. This was my dream SUV.
Is it any other way to do the keyless crank up on your car beside the app my key don’t have any place todo it but it’s hook upon my phone but sometimes it hard to find it don’t pop up as u go tour app
The cargo shade is technically not avialable on the SE. The dealer put my VIN in the computer and it was not available. It is avaialble under the Titanium trim. So why not order the Titanium version? The SE is missing the attachment part that is on the vehical. In order to get the attachment part, it had to be ordered from Ebay for over $70. It appears to be a 3D printed plastic part and it attaches with double sticky tape. It is interesting that the SE has the depression in the molding for the missing part.
Not sure, they all have it, we think that is there to fill some the spots where other buttons would go for. But they are there on SE AWD as well. May also be the location for the buttons for vehicles with park assist.
@@longmcarthurford thanks for getting back. Is that a typical placement? i don't remember seeing vents like that in any other suv I have had? I wonder if it picks up the smell of the spare or whatever we load?
@@rdisneyandcentralfloridali4849 they are placed above the cargo floor so you won't get any smells from the spare tire compartment. If you do have anything in the cargo area that smells, it could come through if you have the climate recirculation turned on.
For those who dont know .The Auto Brights need to be refined by Ford my 2019 Lariat Ranger has them. The Auto Brights are a tad annoying for they will catch it's own reflection from signs and anything reflective and results in flashing between high and low beams. Another than that I still want one parked next to my Ranger.
The headlights stay on for several minutes after the vehicle is turned off and key removed from vehicle! . You can shut the off immediately by pulling the signal arm towards you!
Love my new 2020 Escape SE. Watched the whole video to confirm that the only way you can open the trunk for the SE is to actually have to get out of the car and manually open/close. Not even a trunk button on fob or inside car. Spent 2 days looking for it. Can't believe they don't have a button on fob or dash. Even the low budget vehicles have buttons on fob. 🤦♀️
I had an SEL as a rental and buying The SE because the other one is expensive for me but wish the SE had memory seats and heated steering wheel its 2020 come on Ford and needs to alert when backing up a car is coming
2022 Ford Escapes can be ordered right now, we don't when the order banks will close yet depends on the amount of orders they receive. Many of the models are closed out for orders due to demand and ability to build them in the production year but Escape (non PHEV) is currently open.
One note: S, SE, and SEL actually has the new 3 cylinder turbo with cylinder deactivation.
That is an excellent point and something I missed. That was not spelled out on the order guide and I forgot that from our training. Thank you. I will highlight your comment, so everyone is aware.

I just bought a 2020 Ford Escape SE! It’s very nice. Drives great... handles the road well... standard options are very nice...❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Jalena Jenkins I am jealous 😍😍😍
does it have adaptive cruise control? Because some do and some don't.

It would be nice to see the rear sensor on all the models
I recently drove the 2020 Escape Titanium and I LOVED IT!!!

Pops150 so was it worth it?
Do it have the navigation to help u find places I hope so I couldn’t find it on mine

That is the sensor for the collision warning
with the drive moe can it be set to stay in mode wanted, until i want to change it---or am i stuck resetting it every time i start to go some where ??
It goes back to normal mode at every start.
Does fog lights can be installed in this model? Do we need to buy only fog lights assembly or we also need to buy and install an extra switch to turn them on?
Fog Lamps are standard on SEL and Titanium. Not available from the factory on S or SE. I wouldn't be able to tell you how to get them aftermarket.

Can you get Lane centering in the SE Escape
If the SE doesn’t have sensors on the back, then how does it warn you about rear cross traffic?
sensors for the blis and cross traffic are not located in the bumpers, I believe they are in the taillamps, at least on the F-150 they are.
I know it’s lower than previous Escape models. What is the ground clearance?
7.3", 6" lower than 2019.
Around 22:56 what the line there for please help

I am little confused. Some of the reviewers had no adaptive cruise control on their Ford Escape SE but this one does.
Adaptive cruise control part of the Co-Pilot 360 Assist which is optional on the SE trim.
@@longmcarthurford Thank you for your answer.
Does the SE trim come with a remote start engine (on the key fob)?
No, u have to download Ford Pass an unlock, lock, find your car an remote start that way
Can someone tell me what the vents on the side are in the rear cargo area? Are those heat/ac vents or something else? Thanks
