It is warming to see that when you content makers both take care of yourselves, but also care about us. We feel we know you well, naturally, so i.e. a sudden leave could cause worry. Because since we "know" you, we also care about you. I think you did good with this video, nicely laid out. If you wanted to, we would probably be content with "IRL issues that affects me, expect less for a while". Hoping for the best of months for the one near you, ofc. ❤
Thank you for your honesty, appreciate you sharing what is going on. You know you have a ton of people in your corner, and I'm sending you all the positive vibes!
Really enjoy your content, as a follow of yours I agree that you don't owe us anything, but we do appreciate your transparency. As someone who recently learned of a similar situation with a loved one, I feel deep sympathy for you and this sensitive situation. Keep doing what's best for you - take all the time you need.
Having experienced a months long long goodbye myself, it is absolutely an emotional slog. Making-the-most-of-every-minute fatigue, getting used to a stage of decline only for it to decline further, being a bystander of 100 goodbyes when it wasn't goodbye yet, debriefing like 50 of those goodbyes, having to handle an onslaught of funeral arrangement questions when the person was still living in the next room, it is taxing. Even a small bit of support went a long way so I'm glad you feel supported and are fostering an environment where others can feel safe to ask for support. The heart must grow!
I appreciate those words. The various types of fatigues are real! I am very lucky to have the support I have, to be honest, so I am grateful for that at least :)
Only been a channel viewer since Space Age dropped, but your channel has taken over my viewing time on here. Knowing someone close will not be around for long is a terrible feeling.
Thanks for the honesty and wisdom in this video. I’m a new viewer and really enjoy your content - looking forward to more, at whatever pace is right for you.
Take care of yourself, man. That stuff is tough. Thanks for sharing. Hope personal stuff and continued work on the channel all goes as well/as smoothly as possible.
My family observed the one year anniversary since a very close person to us passed away. We still feel it like it was yesterday, and we are definitely trying to recover. The circumstances of the loss was very sudden and unexpected. I'm sorry that you are going through this and I hope that you can treasure the time you have with this person.
So sorry to hear that, and I appreciate the kind words! I am grateful that in my case, it's not "sudden and unexpected", so we do have that time to spend together. I can't imagine what that would be like and I hope you can continue to recover and heal!
I learned a lot from your stuff, dude! I think you're a very good teacher, only guy that managed to explain how to use and navigate the hideous UI of Helmod! Keep it up. 🙂
Haha thanks. I look forward to doing helmod videos in the future for factorio 2.0 :) Hopefully I can make sense of the "new helmod" mixed with "new factorio", it's a mess for sure!

I feel this comment encapsulated the process of losing a loved one that is still right there with you perfectly
