    Great video Les. The music and the sounds of the bush are very relaxing and makes for great easy viewing. Great to see the park so Lush and watching those elephants was an extra treat!. Cant wait for Episode 3!

      Many thanks. With this series I figured out how to isolate the bush sounds from the general background noise. Not always possible but I'm learning!

    Oh I am so homesick. 😢 this was brilliant. Those 2 and 3 year old elephants had plenty of allomothers to look after them they were so boisterous. ❤

    For me this is the best video this far in this series. Its because the animals ....and birds look "healthy and happy" in their natural enviroment. Especially the young. Thank you. Great quality and content as always.

      Many thanks for the compliments. Some great birds spotted this trip that we hadn't seen at other times of the year.

    Oh so nice to see the Tropic of Capricon Loop here - driving that road is one of my favorite memories from our trip in Feb this year! Saw blackbacked jackals, some lone elephants with fairly long tusks, tsessebe & plenty of zebra & wildebeest on this stretch (if my memory serves me well)! Took us forever to drive this road haha! I just booked my trip back to the Kruger for November so very happy to enjoy the scenery with your videos the upcoming weeks!

      It was a great road that we hadn't done before and we loved it so much that we went back the next day to find even more game. Coming in the next episode!

      Many thanks. We went in September a few years back and found it easier with all the bush died down. Should be great!

    This video took me back to the Kruger, such a stunning place, been a few times and enjoyed every visit, now Tracking Tigers from my home on a Tiger reserve in India, leopards and Bears, many bird species the same as South Africa, nice one 👌

      Cheers! Don't think I'll ever see a tiger in the wild although there were reports recently of one roaming about Johannesburg!

      @@oldcodgerwithacamera yes it was a young Male Tiger from the zoo who had escaped, think all these zoos need a protocol of 2 lock and keys and 2 people with the key each, then there can be no mistake, check out my channel to see some of the Tigers ect i encounter 👍

    At what point do you determine it is too deep to cross the bridge?

    • @oldcodgerwithacamera
      @oldcodgerwithacamera  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The causeway outisde Shingwedzi always has water running over it unless it's very dry. Crossings are monitored by the park authorities and if it is considered too dangeraous to cross they simply block off the road.

      @oldcodgerwithacamera hope they are quick to close as it seems like water levels could vary greatly with the thunderstorms. Funny thing is the Los Angeles is under it first tropical storm warning ever! Areas could get a years worth of rain in 2 -5 days ! Should be some interesting news videos early this week. Looking forward to your postings.

    So how expensive is fuel in the park???

    • @oldcodgerwithacamera
      @oldcodgerwithacamera  ปีที่แล้ว

      Can't remember exactly but I think it was around R22 a litre outside and R24 inside. Still half the price it was in the UK.

    • @Jonathan_and_Tammie
      @Jonathan_and_Tammie ปีที่แล้ว

      @oldcodgerwithacamera thanks! About the same as it is in Oregon right now and 20% more than the oil producing states of the USA.
