Love it. One thing I never will understand, in a universe with many large vehicles that can hover (Jabba's sail barge anyone?) why this is considered "all-terrain" is beyond me. It's slow, and rather silly for an armored transport. One wrong step, and boom, it falls over. But i'll always love it anyways lol
Is there a canon in-universe explanation as to how the Snowtroopers actually get down from the "staging area" to the ground? It's like a 15 metre drop. Do they have to be lowered down on ropes or something? If so, it's not exactly the most efficient design for a troop transporter lol.
The in universe explanation is the sail barge and other vehicles like it operate on repulsorlift technology to stay off the ground. This is fine on a lot of planets, but on others there are gravity distortions that prevent the repulsorlifts from working and make those vehicles useless. Additionally there are man made defensive weapons that can prevent those vehicles from working. So the AT-AT (and AT-ST, etc.) exist for worlds like that and just generally are more reliable. The repulsorlift tech is kinda easily damaged and can be messed with, so it’s not as reliable.

First off, let me just say that I will likely never be able to afford an $800 Lego set. Now that that is out of the way, I really enjoyed this video as this is a product I'll probably never get but loved watching you showcase. As a kid who poured over the cross sections books back in the early 2000s, seeing the attention to detail in the UCS model put a huge grin on my face. I look forward to seeing what kinds of mocs enthusiasts are able to build with this thing as the centerpiece. Great video!

7:24 this got me curious so I ran the numbers, the UCS AT-AT is 36.3 times smaller than the "real" thing, so a metric ton at that scale (36.3x smaller, cubed) would weigh just 21 grams (0.7 ounces). If it can hold that much weight, which I suspect it can, it's accurate.

Love the experience and detail they put into this set.
One of the biggest things I noticed about this set is that booklet #3 shows building the canopy as well as the head, but by the end of the third booklet we do not build the head. The 3rd box itself however is accurate in showing we only build the canopy and neck. But I agree with this whole review. It’s a tremendous, incredible set.
