I like the Sandcrawler the best. Amazing build, play features, and figures. Plus, it looks great on display. Though I must say, minus the price tag, the AT-AT also looks amazing...
Love that you gave Slave 1 the justice it deserves. Its a beautiful build, and like you said, its display stand makes it one of the best looking sets. Republic Gunship deserves some more credit though, its a remarkable looking set with amazing detail and the only disappointing aspect is the minifigs, which even then if we didnt have the vote and had this expectation out for other figs I feel as though they would've been considered more favorably. Although that yellow clone and their comments around it is just horrendous...
I think the gunship is too low. Yes there is controversy but it’s a beautiful set. And it’s stand I think rivals the slave one. I think it’s practically a perfect build. If it had a phase 2 Cody and Jedi bob it could have been top 5 easily.
My thoughts exactly. I just built this set yesterday and man is this in my top 5 UCS sets. I get the controversy but cmon it’s a product and at the end of the day it’s a near perfect build
This is crazy timing. I literally just started watching your UCS ranking from two years ago, stopped watching to answer a call, and now this one is here!
31:32 lego can definitely improve the cockpit, and maybe add some extra greabeling, it is a sleek ship, but it still has some piping and minor detail missing. Personally I'd put the Slave 1 and AT AT above the shuttle. Also lego definitely needs to revisit the UCS AT ST. The head looks a bit too big on their model. I can only imagine a modern UCS AT ST with all Lego's modern parts.
I absolutely love the A-Wing, it's weird to say, but it's my favorite starfighter in the star wars universe. So happy I got the USC A Wing, really fun build
I’m getting it for Christmas (fingers crossed lol) idk why some people seem to not like it but I think it’s really underrated and it looks incredible especially for it’s price
I played the old x-wing flight sim/combat games for windows and the A-Wing was amazing. It was the only rebel fighter that could keep up with the imperial fighters. It was a little squishy compared to the X-Wing but I loved it's agility and speed.
Nothing tops the millennium falcon in my opinion. I may be be biased because I'm fortunate enough to have the set, but it is just so impressively massive and the mind blowing amount of detail on it makes it so pleasing to look at every day. This set tops the rest of the ucs sets for me because it is, compared to any other set I've built, the most difficult build. And because of that, it was such a treat all the way through and so rewarding to see the final product sitting there in front of me. If you have the money and want a build that will challenge your lego building skills and give you an experience you'll never forget, pick this up before anything else (this is my opinion of course.)
Got it, for my 19 year old can't wait to see his face Christmas morning HEAVY ASS25LB BOX (update: at 19, he was underwhelmed. Sent it back, for a refund and a PS5...)
I loved that layer by layer style of the Yoda build instructions. I’m glad they didn’t use it on every set, but it was a fun change that made the set feel unique
I'm always gonna regret never buying the UCS imperial shuttle. Hopefully in a few years, just like the UCS Star Destroyer from 2002, we'll get a remake of it.
I personally like the UCS shuttle, not #1 but with how Lego designed it to have no visible studs, it really helps capture the beauty of the real ship and Lego did a hell of a job on it!
FYI: the missing landing gear on the Mandalorian starfighter is SO easily fixed by removing the two 1x3 inverted slope bricks at the back of the cockpit and placing them near the front. This will stop the cockpit from drooping down.
I also think the build look very good and is a really cool ship, but they had the perfect chance to put phase 2 Cody or some more figures and to me minifigures are one of the most important thing about lego
I own the UCS B-Wing and the cockpit module is quite fragile. The rear assembly behind the cockpit would always break off when moving the model to another location. The weapons below the cockpit could break off if accidentally bumped. I love it, but it needs to be careful handled when reorganizing a display shelf.

I 100% agree with the gunship point. I agree the figures, and Lego being dumb was not good, but it is childish to cry over the mini figs because the build is so good. At least Lego had a point with “ the ucs sets are about the builds, and display, not the figures.” But I mean the commander doubles as a Cody and a pilot and a commander so ya know great fig.
I agree about the gunship as well. He doesn't judge any other set based on press releases so why is he doing so on this one. The judging isn't consistent or objective
The OG Xwing UCS kit may be ugly, but it being the very first UCS set-and the fact I got it for Christmas the year it came out-means it will always hold a special place in my heart and will always be on display for me. The OG xwing also came with an r2d2 minifig that sits behind the cockpit.

A-wings are by far my favorite single pilot fighter in all of star wars. I dunno why, there's just something about the simple shape of it. I also loved playing as it in the first new Battlefront game.
Still hoping for a UCS UWing that is mini-figure scale holding the rogue one crew (best Disney Star Wars movie IMO). I think the republic gunship will move up in your list over time once the controversy dies down. I’m building it now; it’s been one of the most impressive Star Wars builds for me since returning to the Lego hobby in 2019 after 20+ years. The size and details for the price are pretty good considering is wing span is as wide as the UCS Falcon. To go along with the mini-fig controversy of “UCS sets”, I’m more disappointed the “UCS” or creator expert Ghost Busters Ecto-1, James Bond Aston Martin, and upcoming DeLorean don’t have minifigures and info plaques. @@wadewilson3296 Exactly. He's just salty at Lego for the figs included (and other things) sure they could of had better figs but Ryan doesn't seem to realize that he solely is not the voice of the community.
@@wadewilson3296 Yeah that's exactly it and it's kind of annoying. Anyhow if the he had judged the gunship fairly it would have been higher. How bout you, did you get a chance to get the UCS gunship?
At first I did not understand why you like the imperial shuttle when I saw your ucs worst to first 3 years ago but I understand that imperial shuttle has very smooth sides and is the sleekest lego set ever. On a separate note a cool video would be if you made a worst to first prequel or original sets. Maybe sequel too because there aren’t many sets for it and it would be a good short video to make. Keep up the good work. Loved Ask MandR 200 and clone wars worst to first.
I like this rating of the sets, definitely well thought through and put together. My personal opinion is that the millennium falcon is at #1 mainly because of bias towards it as it is my favorite ship in Star Wars and Han & Chewie are one of my favorite movie duos.
A Wing was my first UCS build. Loved the build. Sure it doesn't have the "wow" of a falcon or X-Wing, but it's my favorite starfighter and it looks incredible on my desk.
As someone who got those first two UCS sets when they came out, that X-Wing and Tie Interceptor were absolutely amazing for the time. They were head and shoulders above any other Star Wars Lego set. They may not have aged well, as should be expected, but they really should be regarded better considering what a huge step forward they were.
imo the ugliest are the Maul head, both Yodas, blocky R2D2, Landspeeder and then the old Tie Interceptor. Old X-Wing looks kinda rough and nice which fits the rebel style very well imo. The others are just insanely boring or ugly. Which ridiculous Star Wars fan would see a huge landspeeder and think "woah yeah that's the one Star Wars vehicle I'll put into my 2-room-apartment as decoration"
I pined after that 2000 x-wing and tie interceptor as a kid, but only ever got my hands on the newer UCS sets, so those will always hold a very special holy grail status to me. There's also something classic lego in their brickiness.
So funny that the B-wing is now one of the more spendy UCS sets on the second hand market. Even with its flaws, good luck finding it sealed for under 500$ usd.
I agree that the Red 5 UCS X Wing is beautiful, however I have noticed after many years of having it displayed that the wings develop an unfortunate droop which is really difficult to correct.
The top 10 has to be the following and in no particular order: 1) AT-AT 2) Slave 1 3) Gunship 4) The newer Star Destroyer 5) The newer Y-wing 6) The newer Snow Speeder 7) Tie Fighter 8) Imperial Shuttle 9) The newer Millenium Falcon 10) Super Star Destroyer Honorable mentions that didn't quite make it: -At-ST -Sandcrawler
A few things I want to see improved in a potential UCS Imperial Shuttle remake: 1) include the boarding ramp this time, it is an absolutely iconic feature of the ship in universe that was not included in the UCS model 2) make the engine section on the back flush with the rest of the ship's body (the playset version from 2015 did this better than the UCS model) 3) a more accurate cockpit exterior shape; on the ship in universe the cockpit has a slight curvature on top of it, as well as below along the sides Bonus: others have said they want to see interior inside the body of the ship (with seats for the passengers/troops) and this would be really cool to include, but probably difficult to have in there while ensuring the model's stability
The only cool sequel sets that could be ucs are snoke’s star destroyer, big at-at (TLJ), and the dreadnought. There is not much else becuase the dreadnought is just like the ucs star destroyer we already have.
@@Grizzly8505 I would propose something a bit more in the direction of Master Builder’s series... a Starkiller Base would definitely be really cool to have too. I just generally think they have an opportunity to do something different from just another Star destroyer type ship.
@@cab1stborn also that Kylo Ren shuttle (the black one with the folding wings that Lego made grey once), Resistance Bombers, Tie Silencer/Dagger, The Raddus (large resistance ship, although less likely as we haven’t got a UCS MC80 Home One yet)
I own 3 of these sets: the Slave I, the X-Wing from 2013, and the TIE Fighter. Got them when I was in middle school, love all of them. My favorite is the Slave I, it is absolutely GORGEOUS and was super fun to build. Wasn't expecting much from the TIE fighter, but it's very well designed, very sturdy and actually has some play value. The X-Wing looks great but it was a pain to build and falls apart very easily due to the nature of the design. Definitely don't regret getting it though. I wish I had more money to spend on these sets when I was younger, I always found the Lambda shuttle SUPER cool but I did not have the allowance to buy it at the time.
I got the UCS AT-ST as a kid one Christmas long before I really knew what I was in for with UCS. I didn't get too far in it then, but a year or two ago I finally put my mind to finishing it. Even for an old set, it looks great. My only mild concern is with the rubber bands that help hold the head together, but since they're so cheap to replace that it isn't a huge worry.
List of UCS sets that we need: Malevolence Invisible Hand Venator Star Destroyer AAT MC-80 Home One or MC-75 Profundity Lucrehulk Razorcrest Nebulon B and last but certainly not least, a minifig scale AT-TE
Definitely not UCS. It is a LUCS or “like UCS“ but not officially and the original one will hold its value. Similar to BB8 and Porg. Also have the plaque but not UCS
Fair enough, then the other R2 shouldn’t count either. The only thing making it ucs is the label. And LEGO doesn’t seem to have the definition defined for what is ucs and what isn’t. Because if we’re just going off label the the hoth and Ewok village should have been included. But I’m glad they’re not because I agree that they really do fall under the the master builder sets
Question: When’s LEGO going to make the next UCS prequel set now that the drought is broken? Answer: Probably never because they only care about the Original Trilogy
Hot take but I like the super star destroyer more than the newer star destroyer. Although I would take the newer falcon over both just because of how detailed it is. I do agree with the number 1 spot however and I really wish I had gotten it back in the day.
The imperial shuttle is stunning. I purchased the set back in the days after seeing it on display in the Rockefeller Lego store in New York. Maybe because it’s all white with few apparent studs, it is gorgeous !
“Loose-re Hulk” might be the best butchered pronunciation of “Lucrehulk”, but +points because it make me snarf out loud (The proper pronunciation is “Luke-Rah-Hulk”)
Hey, the three UCS sets I have are all in the top 10 (super star destroyer, slave I and imperial shuttle). I love them all and theyre very proudly on display in my house so to see that members of the Lego Star Wars community rate them so highly too feels great
I also love the Imperial Shuttle, so I don't have any heartburn with that model at the number 1 position. I m just about done building the AT AT and I probably agree with you on that one as well. I'm suprised the Falcan dtops all the way to 5 for you, its still an amazing set and I think it beats out the Star Destroyer due to playability and the fun of building that monster! I LOVE the Star Destroyer too, but the scale necessitates a level of detail far inferior to the Falcon and its symetrical shape requires a lot of duplicate work.... no one's fault thats just how its shaped; but for those reasons I put the Falcon ahead of the Star Destroyer. Agree with you pretty much the rest of the way, appreciate your comments on the B wing, up to now I felt like I missed out on that one not getting it, but feeling much better about it after your insightful comments.
Recently got into lego again after a 10 years pause and I FREAKing LOVE It. This video was extremly inspiring for what to get next and showcasing the ucs, the at-at especially... as well as the star destroyer and falcon, they just look astonishing..😍 well, time to say goodbye to ma wallet
I don't count Grievous and the Sandcrawler as UCS sets. One is a buildable figure the other pretty much a MBS set. As for my top 5, I have to go: 1 - Imperial Shuttle; 2 - Super Star Destroyer; 3 - 2019 Star Destroyer; 4 - Boba Fett's SLAVE I 5 - Death Star II And you're right, the bad guys are always cooler. Which is why the Death Star II overthrows the 2017 Millennium Falcon in my list.
@@chelbel0624 the Sandcrawler is pretty much a glorified playset more than a UCS display set. In that sense, it's closer to the Death Star and Ewok Village. A proper UCS Sandcrawler would, IMO, pay more attention to the vehicle details and much less emphasis on interiors and play features.
I've only gotten back into Lego in the last year. After first building the Razor Crest, and then some other sets, I went after the Republic Gunship. Very frustrating to build where in places I thought additional pieces would make it more sturdy to prevent explosions from slightly too much pressure, especially when picking up and turning it during assembly, I have added around six more pieces. I'd like to see an ARC-170 set. That and the Gunship are two of my favorite prequel ships. I love Star Wars sets! I'm starting to do two customs, using the dark grey for one and black for the other. The two other prominent colors of the set.
As much as I love my 2nd edition MF, Slave-1 and Imperial shuttle the highlight for me is the 2nd edition Sandcrawler. Not because it’s looks great on display but its my daughters favourite playset, which is much more ‘valuable’.
Having owned the UCS Imperial Shuttle I can say that it is an incredible set. That said, the interior is super limited, it takes forever to wind the wings up or down (I ended up removing worm gears to fix this), and it requires alot of display space. However, it's cool to see the only UCS set I've ever owned top this list - thanks MandR!
I think I like how they did the cockpit on the first UCS Millennium Falcon... mainly because I like how Lego manages to make cages, like with the Speed Champions NASCAR Chevy Camaro, the halo on the Speed Champions Jaguar Formula E car and the roll cage on the Speed Champions Ford Bronco R
14:52 I've never ever seen people pointing this out but . . . Han Solo has the incorrect and inaccurate color of legs. See?!?!? Nostalgia is a hell of a drug because LEGO Star Wars has ALWAYS been full of flaws, inaccuracies, and sometimes, lack of attention to detail.

Keep up the good work. Loved Ask MandR 200 and clone wars worst to first.
The background for the Naboo star fighter is the Naboo cruiser thing landing on Corosant
Great video. Fully agree on the A-Wing, great set and really fun build too, very under appreciated.
I like this rating of the sets, definitely well thought through and put together. My personal opinion is that the millennium falcon is at #1 mainly because of bias towards it as it is my favorite ship in Star Wars and Han & Chewie are one of my favorite movie duos.
I agree, the millenium falcon is literally the single most well-known icon of basically all of Star Wars
YESS! Finally! I was waiting for this one!! Great Video!!
Id love more UCS Capital ships like the Home One, the Invisible Hand, a Venator, Resurgent SD, and Raddus
Maybe a remake of the UCS Naboo Starfighter
A Wing was my first UCS build. Loved the build. Sure it doesn't have the "wow" of a falcon or X-Wing, but it's my favorite starfighter and it looks incredible on my desk.
As someone who got those first two UCS sets when they came out, that X-Wing and Tie Interceptor were absolutely amazing for the time. They were head and shoulders above any other Star Wars Lego set. They may not have aged well, as should be expected, but they really should be regarded better considering what a huge step forward they were.
The box arts are amazing
imo the ugliest are the Maul head, both Yodas, blocky R2D2, Landspeeder and then the old Tie Interceptor. Old X-Wing looks kinda rough and nice which fits the rebel style very well imo. The others are just insanely boring or ugly. Which ridiculous Star Wars fan would see a huge landspeeder and think "woah yeah that's the one Star Wars vehicle I'll put into my 2-room-apartment as decoration"
worst to first: ideas: imperial sets, first order sets, resistance and rebellionsets
I feel like the next UC's slave 1 that Lego makes should have a full interior for the pilot and passengers on the lower level
Love the video! I just got the UCS TIEfighter and the UCS Mellinium Falcon! I am so excited to build them for Christmas!
Imperial Shuttle is my #1 too. Love the list, although I rate the B-wing much higher, I agree with the rest
I pined after that 2000 x-wing and tie interceptor as a kid, but only ever got my hands on the newer UCS sets, so those will always hold a very special holy grail status to me. There's also something classic lego in their brickiness.
You know... the bounty hunter scene on Vader's Super Star Destroyer would make a great display set. Kind of like Darth Vader's meditation chamber
Ryan: the bad guys are always just cooler.
Clones: :(
Worst set is probably old yoda just absolutely terrifying
The og UCS XWing was amazing looking to me as a 9 year old. It literally changed my life seeing it at ToysRus and started me on Lego Star Wars
So funny that the B-wing is now one of the more spendy UCS sets on the second hand market. Even with its flaws, good luck finding it sealed for under 500$ usd.
I almost missed the bus this morning because I insisted on watching the whole video before I left the house 😂
Nextup: The UCS Luke's Landspeeder. We memed on it for ages and now they're actually gonna make it.
Imagine trying to sleep with the Darth Maul bust staring at you from the shelf
I agree that the Red 5 UCS X Wing is beautiful, however I have noticed after many years of having it displayed that the wings develop an unfortunate droop which is really difficult to correct.
Have the warped over time slightly?
OMG, I came home to THIS??? What an unexpected surprise!!!
Whos here after the ucs venator
Me
Me
After building the recent AT-TE, i can say that clicking in the ball turrets is OFFICIALLY the most satisfying build
The top 10 has to be the following and in no particular order:
1) AT-AT
2) Slave 1
3) Gunship
4) The newer Star Destroyer
5) The newer Y-wing
6) The newer Snow Speeder
7) Tie Fighter
8) Imperial Shuttle
9) The newer Millenium Falcon
10) Super Star Destroyer
Honorable mentions that didn't quite make it:
-At-ST
-Sandcrawler
Good list sir
That first snowspeeder is WWAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY too low!
The only UCS set I have is the Slave 1 and that is a great set!
Hopefully I can get some more of them in the future to go with the Slave 1
Slave-1 is a brilliant set. It's easily the best one in my collection.
Same. Bought it for $150 back in the day
A few things I want to see improved in a potential UCS Imperial Shuttle remake:
1) include the boarding ramp this time, it is an absolutely iconic feature of the ship in universe that was not included in the UCS model
2) make the engine section on the back flush with the rest of the ship's body
(the playset version from 2015 did this better than the UCS model)
3) a more accurate cockpit exterior shape; on the ship in universe the cockpit has a slight curvature on top of it, as well as below along the sides
Bonus: others have said they want to see interior inside the body of the ship (with seats for the passengers/troops) and this would be really cool to include, but probably difficult to have in there while ensuring the model's stability
I genuinely wanna hear their reasoning for whimping out on UCS sequel sets…
The only cool sequel sets that could be ucs are snoke’s star destroyer, big at-at (TLJ), and the dreadnought. There is not much else becuase the dreadnought is just like the ucs star destroyer we already have.
@@Grizzly8505 I would propose something a bit more in the direction of Master Builder’s series... a Starkiller Base would definitely be really cool to have too. I just generally think they have an opportunity to do something different from just another Star destroyer type ship.
have you seen how bad those movies are compared to other star wars media?
@@cab1stborn also that Kylo Ren shuttle (the black one with the folding wings that Lego made grey once), Resistance Bombers, Tie Silencer/Dagger, The Raddus (large resistance ship, although less likely as we haven’t got a UCS MC80 Home One yet)
Probably because 60% of sequel vehicles were also in the ot. I'd like Kylo Ren's shuttle, though.
I absolutely agree with your No.1,
best set ever made. I hope I can buy it one day...
Great video
I got the UCS AT-ST as a kid one Christmas long before I really knew what I was in for with UCS. I didn't get too far in it then, but a year or two ago I finally put my mind to finishing it. Even for an old set, it looks great. My only mild concern is with the rubber bands that help hold the head together, but since they're so cheap to replace that it isn't a huge worry.
"I've been looking forward to this "
-Count
List of UCS sets that we need:
Malevolence
Invisible Hand
Venator Star Destroyer
AAT
MC-80 Home One or MC-75 Profundity
Lucrehulk
Razorcrest
Nebulon B
and last but certainly not least, a minifig scale AT-TE
1 down, 8 to go
Bro literally yesterday I was saying “I want a ucs lego I wish his ranking was a little updated” and then you upload this
I’m still kinda pissed that the “clone pilot” is in the accessory pack. I was going to sell mine but lego has destroyed it’s value
Building the UCS AT-AT at this very moment.
Damn lucky guy. Hope you’re enjoying it :))
The new R2-D2 should have been included. It’s got the sign and it’s the same size and detail as the first one
Definitely not UCS. It is a LUCS or “like UCS“ but not officially and the original one will hold its value. Similar to BB8 and Porg. Also have the plaque but not UCS
It has a smaller sign, like the Probe Droid, Porg, Baby Yoda, etc. which are also not included. He showed it in the video.
I just found your channel and watched a few videos. You are hilarious dude, you’re getting me back into LEGO
I just got the UCS A-Wing over Black Friday, the A-Wing is my favorite ship, and I think the UCS A-Wing is also my favorite set of all time!
“I’ll fucken do it again” 💀💀💀 that reference had me dying
Question: When’s LEGO going to make the next UCS prequel set now that the drought is broken?
Answer: Probably never because they only care about the Original Trilogy
@nick Skeen wasn't that set an original trilogy ucs??
@nick Skeen nope it's original trilogy and comes with a "pilot" who was yellow! Just like the fans remember
@@fritz404 it was also in episode 5
Hear me out, could you rate ALL LEGO Star Wars UCS Sets?
Hot take but I like the super star destroyer more than the newer star destroyer. Although I would take the newer falcon over both just because of how detailed it is. I do agree with the number 1 spot however and I really wish I had gotten it back in the day.
The imperial shuttle is stunning. I purchased the set back in the days after seeing it on display in the Rockefeller Lego store in New York. Maybe because it’s all white with few apparent studs, it is gorgeous !
The A wing was my first ucs set. I fucking love that thing, and the cannons turn 180° not 90°
“Loose-re Hulk” might be the best butchered pronunciation of “Lucrehulk”, but +points because it make me snarf out loud
(The proper pronunciation is “Luke-Rah-Hulk”)
I think it's just "Luke-Ah-Hulk"
It's like the word "Sabre" where the 're' is just an 'er'
My favorite UCS Set ever is probably the UCS ATAT!
I wonder if the AT-AT tops the Imperial shuttle???
“I’m thankful for 2001”
*remembers 9/11*
I don't count Grievous and the Sandcrawler as UCS sets. One is a buildable figure the other pretty much a MBS set.
As for my top 5, I have to go:
1 - Imperial Shuttle;
2 - Super Star Destroyer;
3 - 2019 Star Destroyer;
4 - Boba Fett's SLAVE I
5 - Death Star II
And you're right, the bad guys are always cooler.
Which is why the Death Star II overthrows the 2017 Millennium Falcon in my list.
😧
I get grevious but why the sand crawler
@@chelbel0624 the Sandcrawler is pretty much a glorified playset more than a UCS display set. In that sense, it's closer to the Death Star and Ewok Village.
A proper UCS Sandcrawler would, IMO, pay more attention to the vehicle details and much less emphasis on interiors and play features.
this guy does not stop complaning omg
I actually remember seeing the UCS AT-ST at my local Walmart when it first came out and I wanted it so bad but never got it…man those where the days…
The slave 1 is the perfect size for a minfig
Your top 3 is identical to mine, thumbs up! I'd say the Gunship should be higher though, purely on design & as a display piece it's top 5
9:45 its a remote drid control ship and also the planet of Naboo
I got that 2018 y wing when i was like 11 or 10 and destroyed it after building it and lost every piece. rip y wing 2018-2018
I never realized the darth Vader’s tie fighter I had as a kid was the UCS one my parents went all out that Christmas
Some of the older Han Solo minifigures have brown legs for his classic outfit, but I think they changed to be dark blue from 2014 and onward
