I have started meditation about a week ago and on the third day, I really started to feel the energy. I could feel it and I could see it as my eyes closed. Every time I do not feel like meditating, I go do it. And once I start, I cannot stop until I feel a certain smile and happiness within myself. The meditations usually last an hour at most; and I gotta say, I feel wonderful.
Just rember the world we live in today is not out final home. There a better home awaiting for us in the sky. And yes your true love one will also be there waiting to great you! So don't worry be happy!
Ive been meditating for the last half as well. When you feel suddenly happy while you meditate you activate the pineal gland or third eye, you will start feeling a soreness on the front of your head as well and start seeing different colors
Good for you pal, so many give up on meditation when there is an unpleasant moment and never take it up again, even pain can become buoyant lighter and more transparent in meditation, another wonderful thing I have discovered is that everything you have done said and even dreamed is stored somewhere in the mind, keep keeping Sean.
I think one of the biggest hurdles is when you start getting deeper, then get a taste of clarity or "higher consciousness." The natural response is to try to cling to it, push yourself toward it, force your mind to pursue it in anticipation of greater rewards to come. Do not do this. Do not seize it. Do not dictate what form it takes. Stop trying to order it's arrival-time.
When my Xi taught me the components of his style of Taoist Meditation as he learned it from his Master...he made it very clear..."this is how it's gonna be taught by me. If you don't like it...or want to improve it...go down the street. Let's begin." 51 years later...no regerts.
Wow! George and Master Gu - this was a pretty profound video for me. I've been working on my meditation for some time now using what one might call the various 'traditional' methods (such as counting, thought clearing/empty mind etc.), yet I would always fall into a pattern of my own. I kept trying to correct the pattern so it would fall into line with the more traditional ways. And now I see Master Gu basically explaining that way I have always naturally been drawn to! Seems I was doing a kind of Taoist meditation all along and not known it! Pretty mind blowing. Thank you both!
I've found that finding a droning sound to listen to by earphones or such and becoming wrapped within that sound is the fastest way to feel completely empty and to begin to forget my body and space. The breath very naturally slows easily within minutes. I've had many an hour or two long session like this and a few experiences coming back from meditation with a very detached but samadhi- like experience following for hours after.

"Calm Heart - Harmonious Energy" effectively the meaning of the Chinese phrase Master Gu spoke of. That is, when one is "Calm", i.e. mindful of own Thoughts and emotions, mindful of own Reactions to everything, minds what one 'feels', then, the Result is a "Harmonious Flow of Energy", the Life force, the Chi. Then, Health, Happiness, and Well-being - come as a Result.

Almost two years ago I was meditating everyday with guided meditations, kind of trying to get somewhere. Trying to meditate for a longer period of time, to get lucid dreams and all. But at some point I couldn't do it anymore. I started to sleep within 5 minutes in every meditation, even sitted. So I stopped. I knew I needed to take a step back. And I discovered a new way of meditating. Which is exactly this. Observing nature, the sounds, feeling the wind and the smells, just being present. And it's something that changed my life.

I don't know if it counts, but I found working out on an elliptical helped, especially in my "morning" (I work nights, so that always makes it weird) before work. Just being in the process, submitting to it, imagining the ways my body was improving with the exercise, getting into the rhythm and flow of it. Also, imagining a leaf or feather falling in the back and forth or fluttering pattern. That tends to put me to sleep though.
Thank you and Master Gu so much for this video and especially the meditation course! After downloading the package I have tried it the last two days (only seated meditation so far) and I find it very accessible and easy to follow along. Please keep up this great work.
Alan watts guided meditation is a good uplifted bit of wisdom. I've also been reading dragons gate exercises lately and it has a lot about breathing and fundamental practices to wellbeing. Each and every breath is nice as a manual to meditating when you need more detailed instruction or a fresh approach to the practice. Great content thank you for the effort.
Also some people say it is impossible to think of nothing. I feel like I am the only one who can think of nothing. I cannot explain it because there is nothing to say about thinking of nothing because it is nothing. The best explanation I can give is by freeing yourself from free mental will.
Having subtitles (CC) on really helps understand this video. There is such incredible truth in this video. If meditation is forced, it always, always fails. Because force is against the Way, the Tao.
Master Gu, you are an amazing soul...Namaste my friend...I'm way over here on the east coast of the United States...you've had a great positive impact on my life....thank you...and George, you are also amazing! Namaste to you too...

How long have you been trying? What techniques have you tried? Most of the meditation instructions no matter the 'school' I personally have found less than desirable. Bobby Fisher when instructing how to play chess, begins with learning check mates, not the beginning moves. This video is a technique, nothing special, if it work then its great. It might be perfect for Master Gu and his followers. But first start with the goal and then work backwards. I hope you haven't given up on meditation. That would be a big mistake. Just keep looking. If you are sincere you'll find it. But if you are not willing to keep searching then probably it won't help you. It will require an effort. Good luck! :)
What kind of work is he looking to do, and when does he want to do it? I have experience in construction, and am learning to become an electrician (though i doubt that's something he's looking for) so maybe i could help.

Love this guy ...
I have been doing Buddhist meditation for more than twelve years now rather intensively. I might try Taoist meditation, though.
Amei as palavras do Mestre Gu!
I am grateful for your channel and Master Gu's teachings and wisdoms. I purchased the meditations, thank you so much for offering them. I have very rarely commented on youtube, but i must let you know how important your channel is to me, i have no teacher but at the same time i have many :-) I playfully seek the Tao, to learn Tai Chi and knowing the natural ways of myself and the world around me. Thank you for creating one guiding path. You both emit joy, being at ease, & a playful way of being, seeking, learning. yay!
give him a big thanks from a guy in Greece
im trying to get a pro in meditation lol hope yall reach happiness and peace in life amen
Thanks!
very interesting. i am a Christian and this seem like a way of mastering inner peace with yourself and God
Rewatching this whole Tea Time series- love love love...
Great! I didn't find much information on the web about this subject.
I'm about to purchase the deeper versions! I'm so inspired by the Taoist teachings!
Gibbon Resurrected his book on the taboo on knowing who you are is surreal and his lectures cover a wide range of topics too.
Thank you so much, this really resonates. I use the Cantonese version of 心平气和
simple, clear...generous
Also some people say it is impossible to think of nothing. I feel like I am the only one who can think of nothing. I cannot explain it because there is nothing to say about thinking of nothing because it is nothing. The best explanation I can give is by freeing yourself from free mental will.
Thank You
Where can I find the other videos you referenced at the end? Thank you.
Having subtitles (CC) on really helps understand this video. There is such incredible truth in this video. If meditation is forced, it always, always fails. Because force is against the Way, the Tao.
Brilliant take on meditation hadn't come across before. Thank you for sharing.
Great! 👍
this is amazing!
Great
So nice to see the proliferation of Daoist philosophy in the West. We've strangled ourselves to such a degree it's just the breath we need to survive.
Thanks for your teachings Master Gu, and George for sharing them. I've just purchased the meditation course/guide, will give these a try very soon 🙏
Hows the course
Yay I like this
I love your channel and all the lessons we're so blessed to receive from Master Gu. Thank you :)
Good explanation thanks
Thank you very much! Very useful for my personal life!!
Master Gu, you are an amazing soul...Namaste my friend...I'm way over here on the east coast of the United States...you've had a great positive impact on my life....thank you...and George, you are also amazing! Namaste to you too...
Well done all is well all be well
Great video, great series. Amazing. I've been learning about Taoism lately. I ordered the Tao Te Ching but I am so happy I found your channel. This is exactly what I am looking for. Thank you!
This is so beautifull
Great work! Thank you so very much!!
I've tried a few techniques and never one that fits really well. I will give this a go.
How long have you been trying? What techniques have you tried?
Most of the meditation instructions no matter the 'school' I personally
have found less than desirable. Bobby Fisher when instructing
how to play chess, begins with learning check mates, not the
beginning moves. This video is a technique, nothing special, if it
work then its great. It might be perfect for Master Gu and his
followers. But first start with the goal and then work backwards.
I hope you haven't given up on meditation. That would be
a big mistake. Just keep looking. If you are sincere you'll find
it. But if you are not willing to keep searching then probably
it won't help you. It will require an effort. Good luck! :)
Where can I get those round seats from?
Thank you so much for these videos.
We learn meditation martial arts and we will try to further our community some how
What kind of work is he looking to do, and when does he want to do it? I have experience in construction, and am learning to become an electrician (though i doubt that's something he's looking for) so maybe i could help.
