    Hi Cory, I'm Donna, one of your patreon members. I purchased a jar of your Chocolate Orchid body butter. I cannot tell you how excited I am and honored to wear the luxurious and most delicious scent I've ever smelled in the body butter line and I've tried plenty. I've had it on for about 20 minutes now and I am wowed over it. Absolutely Beautiful and amazing. I sent this same message to you, but I just had to share this with everyone. Worth every penny. I'm a Registered Nurse and can't wait to share it with my co-workers on tomorrow. Soft, Supple, Moisturizing, I can go on forever. It's just what the Doctor ordered. Hugs, Kisses and Salute for a Job well done.

    This is a totally different take on body butter I’m glad that I watched this. I have the same issue with body butters that you do, I hate the oily residue that doesn’t get soaked into your skin so my fix is arrowroot powder to absorb extra oils and it works great, but I’d like to try 5his and compare.Thank you for sharing and I love how there’s so many different ways to make some thing with the same end result! Hi Cori,
    Thank you for sharing your amazing recipes. So I tried this recipe last night, but I’ll have to do it again, mine never did thicken up like a butter it’s more like a lotion, which isn’t a total fail, I just poured it into a pump bottle I had on hand😊
    My mistake was not reading through the tutorial and making sure that the temperature of water and oils were within 10 degrees🙄
    But I have a question before attempting to makes this again, in the printed tutorial you instruct heating the butters together with the wax and stearic acid, but in this video you heat them separately; does it make a difference?

    • @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany
      @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Kimberly! There are two tutorials on this same formula on my campaign. This video is the older version. It’s okay to do it the way I demonstrated here and it should still turn out nice and thick. The revised version matches the directions you read. Have a look at the revised video for a visuay

    This looks so lovely! I just want to try it. I’m a bit confused on the naming of it as body butter vs thick cream considering it has water which makes it lotion based. I agree with you 100%. An Emulsified Body Butter is basically a Body Cream and you make it as thick as you like...or water it down more, and make a Body Lotion. I could never stand any of those "body butters" that were just oil/fat.

    • @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany
      @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Destinee, yes adding water to the butters helps this formula to absorb into the skin rather than sit on the skin. It leaves your skin hydrated without a greasy, heavy feel. Using an oil or butter based product with no water has lots of benefits as well, but it has a much different skin feel.

    i live in India......and in India we cal this cream or creme..... lotion is far more liquidy and they come in bottles while i have seen these in jars like this and these are called cream here.....but i have not seen much of body butters used in my country because India is situated in the tropics so we either have very hot summers in the coastal, southern and inner parts of India and very hot summers and very cold winters in the northern part of India..... so in all regions in India this is great because it hydrates the skin..... but sometimes we need it a bit thicker like an actual butter without water added........but i think that using any kind of starch, like arrowroot powder or corn starch (in India we call this corn flour and not corn starch so i looked into it and well i think that i will call it corn starch here and not corn flour because corn flour means corn starch to us living in India but it could mean something else in other parts of the world) to make it less greasy while applying on the skin and it doesn't require any preservatives but yes an anti oxidant is a must to prevent the oils and butters from going rancid......but if you know that the person you are giving the body butter to is going use it in the shower after a shower or bath, i think that you still need to use a preservative in this case as well because they could add water into it if they use wet hands......

    • @iamnatpetite
      @iamnatpetite 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it wouldn't feel greasy because it is an hyrous body butter. If you were making the tradition body butter, that is without the water then you would have to add the arrowroot powder to lessen the greasiness but in my experience it still too greasy for my taste.
      I prefer the hyrous body butters. Soft, fluffy and nice 😌

      Melissa Burazin you can whip this formula!! It turns out amazing but it doesn’t ship well.

      I'm going to try experimenting with thermal bags and ice packs, if that doesn't work I just won't ship during the heart of summer. Thanks!

      @@shatirabarry You can use whatever oils and butters you like. Just make sure your amounts match what is required. I also make one that doesn't require water or a preservative.

    I noticed in some of your other videos you like to kick the scent up a notch. Is it better to go lighter on fragrance oils when it comes to a product such as this? Or, should you just follow manufacturer instructions? Thanks.

    • @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany
      @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      kevin byars So on anything cosmetic you want to follow usage rates exactly. Following manufacturers usage rates for leave on products will ensure that that it is skin safe. If you use percentage higher than the listed usage rate for skin, you make the product potentially unsafe
