Great recipe! I just got it from your Patreon account along with some other wonderful recipes 👏🏻 I don’t know what is with the negative comments about the Patreon account. This woman has obviously worked for years and had tons of trial and error to make her recipes perfect. You don’t think Yankee candle or the body shop would just hand out their recipes that make them millions do you?? I think five dollars for a recipe that works and sells is extremely reasonable! Thank you for not only sharing the secret to your success, but a step-by-step video to boot!! ♥️💯
Sunshine Soap and Candle Company Thank YOU!! I just purchased all the ingredients, yours is by far my favorite recipe! I’m giving these and your body butters to my family for Christmas 🎄😁
Quick tip for waterproofing labels without paying the expensive price they charge. After you print your labels on the page, before you peel them off, spray page lightly with clear spray . You can get this in the spray paint section of most stores. I buy the gloss one. It works great! ( I will spray out side since it does stink until it’s dry).
question can we spray paint over gloss paper already. because i want to use clear but all clear paper is glossy and also or we have to use white or matte
I’m a new patreon and I have to say, THANK YOU CORY. I tried this recipe last night and subbed the avocado oil for apricot kernel oil since I didn’t have avocado oil on hand. AMAZING. Again, hank you so much for sharing your amazing recipes.
Will definitely be purchasing the Patreon membership you have so many great recipes I can’t wait to start slowly incorporating into my small business. Thanks so much you literally saved me from having to do yrs of trial and errors 🤗
Love the idea of emulsified scrubs. This is the first time I have come across one with beeswax. Could you please explain why you chose to use that in this recipe?
Looks great! I have zero knowledge on any of the beautiful products you make, but just wondering could you substitute salt for sugar? Do they have any pros vs cons to each other? Thanks so much! Cheers!
Thank you! Yes, you can sub salt for sugar, it wouldn't be an exact substitute though, you would have to play with the amounts. Sugar scrubs are more gentle because each grain is round so it does not irritate the skin. Salt scrubs can irritate sensitive skin and should never be used on freshly shaved legs as it can sting. Salt scrubs, however to have some detoxifying benefits.
Hey Sunshine, thank you for sharing your recipes with the world.... I do have a question though, I want to make an emulsified salt scrub, can I use this same procedure and recipe but just change d sugar to salt? Do you think it will work?
Love this recipe and the video! Could this scrub be whipped after mixed together well? I think that would make it even more luxurious. Thank you for your video!
Hi , thank you for sharing your recipe and a great video as usual.....Would pistachio , macadamia or hazelnut oil be an ok substitute for the sweet almond oil ? Wanting to use what I have at home as I’ve gone way over my budget for this month ( as usual )
For homemade natural product that going for selling like lips oil, lips sugar scrub and sugar body scrub need to use preservative ..if yes any suggestion which one need to use for safe use
I live in NZ - our Avocado oil is dark green, quite different from yours. Interesting. What I love about making things like this is the handmade aspect, the care taken with each small batch that comes with the artisanal business. It allows for “tweaking” and experimenting without huge costs. By the way, I use a mixer. You must have arm muscles of steel! Great video thank you.
Hi I enjoyed this recipe, however I was wondering how do I make sure the sugar doesn’t turn hard after a few times of used? Is this better using a scoop? Typically what’s the shelf life considering optiphen was added to preserve it. Thanks so much doll.
I make my own sugar scrub for personal use, and gifts, never went beyond that, but I have 3 questions. I think I missed why you use beeswax. 2- what is the emulsifier that you use? That makes it like lotion instead of oil floating in your skin? and 3- is there a reason you do your fragrance and colors at the end and not with your oils? I never thought to add them to the combined product! Thanks!!!
A question. I understand why you use the plastic in the shower but PET plastic isn't necessary here because you aren't using essential oils. You use PET plastic to prevent the essential oils from leaching. I say this because you can save money using regular plastic in this situation. Nice looking products.
Hello, just discovered your channel and am loving your in-depth tutorials - thank you for sharing your knowledge :-) Can I substitute the fragrance oils with essential oils? (am an aromatherapist). On Patreon - if I sign up for the 'Ask Away' option - do I get to ask questions on soap-related stuff only or can it be on any of all your featured recipes? Keep up the good work!
I made a emulsified sugar scrub but I used kukum butter instead of cocao butter for a formula I used. I used ceteryl alcohol instead of cetyl alcohol. And when I was done it has a nice texture but now it went hard ...do u know why?
Wondering if there is an oil that can be substituted for Avocado? I’m allergic to avocados so I’d need something else as hives are no fun lol. I’m enjoying watching your videos thank you for sharing them.
Hi Keeshi, yes you can use optiphen in a body oil and body butter if you like, it just really doesn't need it. A little vitamin E will preserve the shelf life of the oils.

Not a silly question! This can’t be used as a lip scrub because the fragrance in it is not lip safe. Also, lip scrubs typically don’t contain emulsifiers because they are not going to come into contact with water, lip scrubs leave a lip balm feel on your lips while this scrub rinses off clean. 😊

I think a sugar scrub recipe with menthol crystals would be amazing!
what is the reason for the bees wax ? Do you need it or is the emu wax okay by itself

I always use my Kitchen-Aid stand blender, and my scrub are so smooth.

great reciepe . Would like to know where did you buy the buckets that you mix your product in.

Your avocado oil is dark green because it is unrefined. If it is refined, it is the yellowish color.

Where I can find the preservative for my sugar scrubs
Help! Where do you buy your emulsifying wax? I’m looking to buy some in bulk but on Amazon it’s so expensive 😮💨😮💨
I usually get it from Nature’s Garden or Brambleberry
When putting in a preservative, are you measuring it to be x% of the weight before the sugar or the total weight with the sugar added?
ForgottenRoar hi, yes the preservative is for the total amount including sugar.

How do you make it foam like soap would you just add the whipped soap base to it?
Hi nice video, you did not say which preservative you used. If so, I missed it.
