Corsair K70 Core RGB -- Affordable & Excellent Surprise!

For gamers who play mouse & keyboard, full-sized keyboards are not known to be effective gaming keyboards due to their size. That said, there are gamers who need that 10-key numpad due to productivity needs and they want a single device for both work and gaming. As a working professional, I get it. Well, the Corsair K70 Core RGB is marketing itself to this type of gamer, but can Corsair deliver a solid productivity & gaming keyboard for $100?

I purchased this to step into mechanical keyboards. I watched a few videos on it. HOWEVER, I didn't know pressing the knob muted the audio. Great video, You are the 1st to show that feature in the videos I've watched!

Its a very solid keybaord for its price and really enjoyed using it for a solid week. The volume knob can be set to a number of adjustments via iCue, but like you, I always use the knob for volume control. Really appreciate you watching my content and engaging! 👍

just ordered/got this. was on offer for £35. going from a £4 cheap as you can get keyboard to this is an amazing difference. may not be the best on the market but from bottom of the barrel keyboard to this is night and day.

I think Corsair's purchase of Drop was the next step after working on this and some of their other products the past couple of years. The K65 Pro mini, it's actually a 65%, sounds very good with the dampening for the price. I think the GMMK 2 sounds a tad better but you are right, the big names are finally starting to catch on!

@MarbsMusic yea, I heard about Corsair's purchase of Drop and it will be interesting to see how that merger unfolds. For $100, the K70 Core was amazing. Clearly, miles beyond the Logitech G Pro X TKL Wireless at $200...that keyboard was a HUGE disappointment for the money its asking for it. At this stage, I've lost all interest in building my own keyboard as the mass market keyboards have covered 90% of the distance. I also just received my Wooting 60HE and its a solid typing experience...still working my way through Wootility...

You claim it's PBT material for they keys and that's wrong they are ABS.

If they made this in a TKL format, I would unload all my customs, and just use this. We are rapidly approaching the point where “big box” brands understand what gamers want and make everything accessible.

@refragged agree with you 100%. Most of the big, mass-market, periphreal manufacturers understand there is sizable volume & margin for quality. As such, the new keyboards coming out are pretty solid. The Corsair K70 Core RGB is amaze-balls for $100 and I as well wish there was a TKL or 75% version of this keybaord. Thanks again for your engagement! 👊
