How interesting all this is!! From an E type expert to a good driver to a tour guide to a foodie to a presenter of the finer things in life all in a few episodes,
Any one following this adventure obviously wishes to have been one of the rich and shameless individuals that do that from an early age in life, well one is lucky to be able to do it at any stage in their life and you lot seem to be enjoying it besides sharing your experiences with the rest of us, another good clip Maikel. Keep it up. Cheers

      Hello Chris,
many, many thanks and well said. Please do not forget, our objective is to engourage other people to do similar things. It is feasabable in a classic car and what car is more predestinated for this than the blessed E Type with its power, elegance and style. In Italy you always hear the word "Diabolik" when you are crusing along. If you do not know it, please look it up. It is from the 60's. The Italian James bond but in an E Type. Stay tuned for the next videos and keep sharing. We want to see more E Types on the road.
      Maikel
Most impressive is Owen and his wife Pauline who did the entire trip in their April 61 Jaguar E Type press car.

What a beautiful part of the world Maikel . You seem to know this part of ltaly very well , not just for the views but it seems you seem to know the best places to wine and dine as well . An education in how to enjoy life . Thanks Maikel ......oh and the cars are ok as well !! 🥰

      Ah John,
many thanks for your comment. Italy is my temporary home and that is also where I became a wine sommelier. With that comes all the knowledge about the various regions and the typical local food which is widely unknown to the usual tourist. The majority of people in Germany believe the Italian kitchen is only Spaghetti and Pizza. Far off ..... you will see more interesting aspects in Italy in the upcoming videos.
Cars are running perfectly, apart from one loose banjo bolt at the fuel filter (was sorted while driving) :-), everything is perfect. We park the cars, get the luggage out at stay for a couple of days. We do not worry about the cars at all. We occasionally check oil and water, but that is it. Nothing more. We do not even talk about the cars, too many other things to explore and enjoy. Keep sharing and watching.
      Thank you
      Maikel

Meraviglioso! It seems to be a vacation of a lifetime!
Slowly but steady I will get my S3 Coupe ready for a similar trip. Biggest improvement so far was to swap the diff to a 2.88.
Anyway, enjoy your holidays! Cheers! 🥂

      Good day :-)
hai ragione, un giro della vita. Actually we thought it could not get any better than Lake Como but we got proven opposite. Unforgettable trip, as it is nut just about driving but at least for us, about meeting other people, learning about local food and wine, relaxing and sharing time with our partner and friends. We hardly ever spoke about the cars itself as they were performing perfectly. No need to touch them. Some controls yes, but no repairs or anything.
Also in my green 2+2 is a 2.88 diff. It it so silent, that we can talk all the time, plus it does not become as hot and consumes less fuel. Only the acceleration compared to the 3.54 is slow, but when you driving it is fine.
