So very true what you said about children and cars. What sparked my imagination about certain cars as a child still gets me as excited about them today. Most of us are lucky enough to only get old on the outside.
Ciao @gianniaprea9040, thank you very much, still have a few more videos to come about traveling in Italy. What car are you driving? Are we going to plan a stretch together? 🍷🥩🍝🇮🇹
Hello Stelis328, many thanks for watching and hopefully sharing. The intention is to show how good classic cars do perform in a modern world and that traveling with a classic car is not only a mens thing but with your partner you can enjoy lot more than "just" the car. It is also about exploring and putting a smile in other peoples face. Fully understand that shipping the car just for a trip is s hassle, but we should try to find a solution. Keep watching as there are a few more interesting videos to come.
Hi Randal, many thanks for watching and your comment. I think the E Type is not only for repair but also to enjoy driving. Hope it inspires some of us to show their E Types on the road as well.
@@JaguarEType Infact I had mine out on the road today in Alberta Canada. It inspired many thumbs up, smiles and great conversation with all who saw it today.
@randalhuseby3803 I like to hear that 👍. Sadly we did not see any other E Types on the road, not in Germany, France, Swiss or Italy. But we have done half way only so far. Maybe on the way back crossing the Alps again at a different place. They must be somewhere. Keep showing your car.
Hi Paul, it is certainly worth it. We are already a bit further and have a really great time. Outstanding regional Italian food and wine. Just follow if you are into that as well. Cars are operating fine.
Great shots around the bends Seems that both cars are doing their bit on the twist's and bends and the 180's Well there is very little of that in Australia may be a few spots up the mountains we do have a few, but very short ones at that On the other hand, nothing like a dead straight 100++ miles bitumen roads we have lots of here, wound up the S2 to indicated 145 MPH more than once, never got caught either, Ha These kind of straight roads almost without any traffic are not rare here, of course it is only on some Autobahns over there that hardly stretch that far anyway, Regardless these are still majestic views and great driving experience, have driven around there a bit but not an an e type just a 32 VW nice little nifty and scary quirky Woolf in sheep's disguise On another note One can hear the whining of the gearbox and that S1 car, it sounds like a Moss box with the straight cut 1st gear Again of note is that we do drive on the left here so a RHD car is the norm Not sure how he feels been on the wrong side of the road, Ha Most enjoyable second installment by the way All the best Cheers
Hi Chris, many thanks for watching and taking your time to comment. The curves are fantastic as you always have a different view. And going up is more exciting than down. At least for us. On the flat I am usually travelling at 130 km/h albeit car does more but it starts getting noisy from the wind. The white car is built April 1961 so it indeed has the very early moss box and typical moss sound in 1st. gear. My is an automatic and very comfortable for such a tour. But wait for my comparing video which I will bring in the future. Keep watching and sharing. 👍 Thanks you
Just one man’s opinion here. I’m so glad you are actually driving and enjoying your jag. I know you take originality very very serious but really, in the long run, isn’t enjoying the car much more important? The car is original only once and if you take the car apart And spend 1 million hours trying to put back all original parts, it’s still not original. Life is short. Spending your time driving through the Swiss Alps beats spending your time on the Internet searching for tiny little parts that don’t really matter in the long run. Great video. Keep them coming. Besides, purists are a bit silly, aren’t they? They simply want to tell their friends that their jag is all original and it is anything but that. If you can make the car better and more reliable by using “non-original parts“, why not do it? And one more thing, patina is just another word for shabby.
@louislazarus9253 Hi Louis, sadly I do not know where you are located and if you are doing classic car tours. For me, talking about something, knowing the subject is important. I am driving and using these cars the way they were made those days! That is what I am enjoying today, 60 years later and it allows me a trip, back in time. I love them, and my lady loves them too. Just keep following us, and maybe, one day our routes will cross. The E Type is our passion, not obsession. I just like to know what I am doing, regardless if we are talking about E Type, wine, food, culture etc ... The E Type is a medium to socialize, to enjoy the country site, to get to know other places, to put a smile into young lads faces along the road. Just stay tuned and you might become part of our incredible journey.

Had a e type in 70 bought it for 1000 $ those were the days for cars .
Bob, what exciting alternatives you have for technically, food, wine and beauty interested men? We are very happy still driving these cars.
