- I was lucky this year to do a long overdue vacation in America to see my friends and cruise Alaska for my birthday. One of the aims of that trip was to also buy art supplies for future videos and this is a video in which I show my purchases.

I enjoyed watching to see what you purchased to take back home. I love those bundles of ribbon. I look at them every holiday and season. I have yet to purchase any. But I know they are a good price.

I LOVE listening to this video. You are justifying my habits. I liked the sentence, "If you get to go to Michael's...." I restrain myself from going there. It is 3 miles from my house. Suddenly I feel privileged to live so close to this store.

What an awesome shopping trip, craft shopping is the best, when you said there was dog hair on the stamps, my sense of humour went to ah Biscuit has "lab tested" those, thanks for showing us your amazing finds, I can't wait to see you play with them all.

I found myself pausing your video to do quick Amazon searches and did a little shopping for unique art supplies.

Thanks for sharing and reminding me how fortunate we are in the US to have such access to fun supplies. I understand about the composition books - I recently stumbled upon them for 25 cents each at Walmart! I grabbed a few! I'm so happy you had a good trip and arrived safely back home.

Hi Ceri…..glad you were able to shop some while in the US…..as soon as you pulled that trivet out I said to myself, he will use that for texture….lol. I wasn’t surprised to see some of your purchases, but I knew they would be things that didn’t weigh a lot, you sure don’t want to go over weight with your luggage. I too just got some micron pens. I’m just starting to do some doodling and zentangle stuff too. I can’t wait to see your future videos, using your new treasures….

Near O'Hare airport. I have so many craft supplies and I give my extras to seniors' groups and kids' groups. I also shop rummage sales and thrift shops. Enjoy.

Dearest Ceri, so with you on ironing ribbon. I picked up a hair straightener from a local charity shop, and it works wonderfully well with ribbons-just plug in and pull through-easy! XX

So happy you enjoyed your trip. Can't wait to see the things you create with the art supplies. The composition books are on our back to school list every year they go on sale for fifty cents. We stock up every year on a lot of things that will go on sale for a dollar or less. September is the best time of year to vacation here because the weather is usually perfect no matter where you are in the United States. Thanks to you and Mike Deakin I have a list of places to shop if I ever get to England.

Loved your hall. I had to make a list for Michael’s. They’re all over where I live and I never go there, seems like they’ve really changed over the years but I think I need to make a little trip. I definitely need that lace and some of those fiber bundles. And no, you are not the only one who irons ribbon, I iron ribbon and fabric pretty much everything, I iron my paper yet I don’t iron my clothing, if it has to be ironed or dry cleaned I don’t buy it. On ribbons I just use my flat iron that I use on my hair but for fabric, I have to take out the real iron. I agree with you on the fussy cuts, I can’t do that much white around the edge that’s one reason I had one of those botanical sticker books and I ended up using 2 stickers that I had to cut the white borders and then I sold the book on my Etsy because I couldn’t deal. We’re just neurotic Ceri.😂

I found at Dollar tree, a set of three Mini composition Books. I bought three sets, all I could find. 9 mind's. They're hard to find.
9 mini's 50 sheets each. 3 and 1/2 by 4 and 1/4 inches

WooHoo! Nice haul from the US. 😊 And I love the new stencils. I've been thinking about doing a Native American Journal ( I was raised thinking I was part Choctaw. Recently, I found out my grandmother was raised by a Choctaw stepmother, so I'm not Native American by blood, but I am by culture ( does that make sense?). Anyway, I'm fascinated by NA culture and want to delve into it more. What better way than making a journal. The tribal stencils will be perfect (when they hit gen-pop!). Great video. TFS. ❤❤❤
