- Hey there, fellow art enthusiasts! In today's video, I couldn't contain my excitement as I unboxed a treasure trove of creative goodies. This month's sketchbox surprised me with some delightful gouache paints and exquisite toned paper, setting the artistic mood just right. But that's not all - I also raided my favorite art store and snagged some Golden SoFlat paints that promise brilliance, along with Stabilo Woodys, these 3-in-1 wonders that are perfect for abstract art. Plus, I put the Saunders Waterford 100% cotton paper to the test and was pleasantly surprised by its performance. And let's not forget those funky stencils from PM Artist Studio; they've got my imagination running wild! Stick around as I showcase these finds and dive into some spontaneous abstract creations. OMG.....OMG....I ❤️ these supplies. Im a huge matte chalk paint girl. And i have a lot of PMs stencils i love. Today was a great supply art day. 🎨 the bottom right, 8n the left corner looks like a skull. You just never know what you can create. Everyday is a new adventure. 😊

I found I really wanted the neocolor2 because of all the colors, but I've had those Woodys for a while and I find them lovely. lol You have no idea how many times I've said to myself, you don't need the neocolor still learning self-control after all these years.

I loved the Kakamori dip pen but it is expensive so I thought why not use a fineline applicator and, oh my goodness, I was so excited that I have those to use.

Hello Denise, I'm loving every video that you share. I have a technique to share that I haven't seen you use and wondering if you've tried it? Using the stencils, instead of adding paint, use a wet toothbrush to remove the pigment that is there, then before removing the stencil pat dry with a tissue, then remove the stencil and pat the area dry. I absolutely love this technique and thought you might as well. Blessings, Sharon

Oh Snap!! I LOVE LOVE these! I love that crazy red with the purple and greens and that Stabilo....and the stencils. I need to put myself on a no buy for a month. Well snap...I forgot I ordered iff Amazon 4 days ago...the fine liner bottles and some gauche and some micron pn colored pens. I NEED THOSE stabilos tho!!😂🥰❤️🏜️

Love seeing your hauls as much as your painting bc I learn about new products. If I had an art supply store near me I would be so broke! Too tempting! Do you live near Nashville? I am discovering it is a really creative area I am anxious to check out. There’s an Art teacher I follow and she’s always showing these unique and cool stores, art exhibits, etc. I never knew it was that way. I love my Stabilo Woodies!

So much fun! And beautiful! That is my favorite paper, only in the hot press version. It's just so darn expensive. But buying it in imperial sheets really helps to offset the cost. OMG...Sketchbox seems to have really upped their game as of late!

The Archer & Olive Acrylograph markers are fabulous, in that they have some lovely colors you can't find in other brands. The downside is that they only come in limited edition sets, so you can't replace one that you really liked. And some of the sets sell out very, very quickly. (Don't get me started on this method of marketing--I hate it!) They release new sets usually every season.
I loved that pen so much I ordered 2 collections from them… will be out in the hall next week since I had a couple things come in… I hate that you can’t get singles… and they sell out quick… oh well. 😊

I like that the Neo 2’s have way more colors. So if I had to pick - those are my favorite. The woody seems a tad softer so might make marks even easier. Thank you! 🥰
OMGI laugh so hard when you said, “and then I went to the art store”. The tone changing your voice was hilarious. I knew exactly what that meant. I would really like to get some of the stencils you have. Would you be able to do a short video where you say where they’re from and show us them and then link them in the description in one place I didn’t realise until recently that TEMU While good for some things has been ripping off artist designs and selling them for next to nothing. The quality isn’t there, but it’s also taking away from people‘s hard work. I wasn’t aware until I noticed something that looked exactly like what an artist of mine that I watch had created. I no longer buy any art supplies on Temu for that reason.

I like the Canson XL coldpress watercolor pads and have a ton of them in my paper stash... It is a good medium quality paper for watercolors and great for acrylic painting too. I get them when Michaels does their buy one get one sales - definitely look out for that!! This one: amzn.to/3r9IFLG

I’m in love with my gouache lately! I’ve gone through plenty of stages of what my favorite supplies are. I used to never use watercolor or gouache! Next year I might be loving something different. 😊
When you were testing out the acrylic pen I finished your sentence by saying Poesca but then you pronounced it Pawsca, too funny. I don't care how you pronounce it since I know what you're talking about but it was unexpected when I thought I knew how you were going to say it. That'll learn me! lol

I’ve never tried them for glue. It has a needle that goes down into the metal tip when you close it up so paint doesn’t dry in the tip. Don’t know why that wouldn’t work for glue too. 😊

I don't recall so many ads on your previous videos so had to stop watching after the 3rd interruption
I'm not sure how TH-cam does that. We don't have control over how TH-cam places the ads. I finally went to premium TH-cam so I didn't have to see any ads. It is only going to get worse too - they are changing their ads format in November they told everyone last week. They place ads on everything now whether you are a partner or not. I saw an article last week that TH-cam ad money is down because of the shorts - maybe they are trying to make up for that? 🤯
What size is the small Canson pad you were using? Looks like a great size, but I’m not seeing anything quite that size (what it looks like to me) when I look at online sites.
