    We had a brand new 2021 Fortuner we found that we just undid the 3 * 10mm bolts holding the main fuse box down allowed us to move the fuse box 5mm which helped us just drop in the N70 deep cycle in no worries. You did manage eventually but for those who aren't sure I can assure you it's an easier way, literally ads 2-3 mins to undo and 5 mins to tighten back up (as 1 screw is in a difficult location after the battery is in). Highly also recommend people consider the low maintenance version than the maintenance free battery as reports say due to warmth in engine bay the battery will dry up, but you may need angle grind a gap on the bracket to accommodate the top up screw holes. 👍 Good video overall though, premade harness makes life easier. 👍

    Excellent video. I have an ARB tray to fit to my 2019 hilux and this is exactly what I was looking for. Easy to follow instructions well delivered. Thank you.

    Great video mate, really informative. I’ve installed the same tray in my 2016 Hilux but am struggling to get the battery to fit due to the grey clip holding the loom in place. Any idea how to remove that clip?

    Great stuff. Where is the best place to send the accessory harness for the fridge at the front engine bay for the latest hilux or the fortuners? With the battery not sure there will be enough space to send through the passenger side? Thanks

      Vish P hey mate. There will be enough room to go through the fire wall grommet on the left side even if the battery is in on the Fortuner. However on the Hilux I would run it from the engine bay aux battery down to the chassis rail and along the under body of the car seeing as on a Hilux most of the time the sockets will be installed in the tub or tray outside.

    Hey mate I was under the impression that the charger needed an ignition wire does it not ?

    • @AussieDrifterTouring
      @AussieDrifterTouring  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey mate. The ignition wire is only required on variable voltage alternators. The Hilux runs what’s called a temperature compensation alternator so it’s not required. Hope that helps
