    Surprisingly well said. Having researched and written a lot on Hindu Nationalism, I doubted its ability to articulate its ideological position on the world stage. But here we go.

      Spiritual equivalent of NatCons of different nations meeting & appreciating each others' differences and similarities is called "the Law of Essence". This law is also baked in inside Indian cultural nationalism in the phrase "unity in diversity", and in Hinduism itself that accepts & appreciates Shiva/Vishnu/Shakti even atheism, as well as different paths e.g. Bhakti Yoga/ Karma Yoga/ Gyan Yoga/ Raj Yoga.

      Not at all. "There was no point in seeking to convert the intellectuals. For intellectuals would never be converted and would anyway always yield to the stronger, and this will always be "the man in the street." Arguments must therefore be crude, clear and forcible, and appeal to emotions and instincts, not the intellect. Truth was unimportant and entirely subordinate to tactics and psychology." JG.

      @@reynolddsouza4357 I disagree. Ideas formed by the intellectuals are then dumbed down by the media (i.e, the middlemen) to brainwash the masses. So if you want to get rid of a problem, you need to strike at the root of it, which are the intellectuals. You need to have your own intellectuals (nationalist intellectuals I mean), your own data collecting agencies, your own indexes through which you can form a good narrative that can later on be dumbed down to reach the masses. These dumb, crude ideas without anything real backing them may work in the very short term, but they never do in the long term in the information age.

    Hindu nationalism and Western conservatism don't have much in common ideologically. However, they share a common enemy which is the Global Left. NYT, BBC and WaPo is also very disliked by the Indian RW. Also the Indian Left tends to be against Israel and in favour of socialism which is against conservative ideals. A tactical alliance could thus be formed on opposing common threats between nationalist parties. See how the woke Left and Islamists have nothing in common except hating the West and they are able to join forces. Similarly, Western conservatives and Indian nationalists could join forces to keep out socialists, Islamists etc like British Hindus have done voting against UK Labour in the recent election in Birmingham and London (Bob Blackman MP).

    The Biggest difference between western conservatives and Indians is how they view others.
    Western conservatives always try to enforce Christianity other religious groups are looked down and always try to convert them. But in India other groups are not looked down and converted like Christians and Muslims do.
    You practice your religion and can appointed to any position but not America or any other conservative country in the west. See Vivek, he is good but since he is brown and not Christian, people can’t vote for him to be the president or leader of a Christian nation.
    How religion is used is the biggest difference.
    A hardcore Christian can live in India without feeling need to convert but Hardcore Hindu can’t live in Christian state

    • @thomasninan6423
      @thomasninan6423 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      First, majority of western conservatives are not christian nationalist, therefore they believe in religious tolerance and freedom of religion.
      Second, you told people of any religion can hold office in india while this is not possible in western countries. But guess what, UK is an official christian country has appointed Rishi Sunak as PM that to in conservative ticket. But in india Sonia Gandhi couldn't become the PM because of her foreigness and religion (leaving apart nepotism which I also disagree)
      Last, have you have any idea how hindus have been successful in proselytising in western countries to western people without any crackdown by its governments because of the privilege of freedom of religion, while in india, the government is bringing restrictions through legislation to freedom of religion and targeting christian institutions.
      Now stop playing the moral high ground. Western tolerance is 1000× more than the so called hindutva tolerance. People in glass houses should not throw stone at others.

      @@thomasninan6423Tell me you consume christian propaganda without telling me you do. XD
      First becoming PM and all dpesnt matter bcoz racism among conservative whites against Indians is an objective fact. All they show about India is "caste cow and curry".
      Secondly the successful proletysation of hindus abroad in western countries is result of western liberal values and not owing to them being christain or anything.
      Third what weed are u smoking. How the hell are christains or muslims prevented from proletysing. Nehru literally gifted the whole NE of India to the missionaries which is why 90% of NE tribals are Christians(Nehru particularly banned any hindu group to go and live in NE). Then not to speak of the enormous land that Church possess in the south(the church has land even in those areas where there lives no chritains) and their monopoly over education sector and academia.
      I can understand frustation of you that the Modi govt seeing this gave brought in illegal conversion laws and have heavily crackdowned on these ngos and all. Still hindus have less rights in India than the so called minorities. Despite being minority in states of NE, Punjab, J and K etc they are treated as if the majority. The hindu religious institutions like temples are governed by the government but Muslim and Christian institutions are free from any govt interference. Christain and Muslim educational institutions dont have to conform to RTI act while Hindu institutions have to. Basically Indian state legally discriminates between Hindus and treats them as 3rd class citizens. Hindus have better rights in US than in their homeland.
      Your last line just shows what kind of propaganda u consume.
      Fyi the kost typical hindutva vaadi organisation is RSS which has a voluntary Christian and Muslim wing. :)

    • @thomasninan6423
      @thomasninan6423 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@sudipkumarroy3790 if racism is that rooted in western countries? Then indian and other ethnicities wouldn't strive at all, especially in politics. If that so, then a black person couldn't become us president, a pakistani orgin can't become a London mayor or an Indian origin can't become UK PM or Progutal PM. So you are consuming a lot of leftist propaganda.
      Now racial discrimination and stereotyping do exist, but the one who are vocally opposed to that are now other than majority in the west itself. Are we indians not guilty of any forms of racism whatsoever, most of our causal talks on colourism will be found offensive to western audiences.
      Yes, freedom of religion is a western liberal value, but it is not something that came out of thin air, but came out of western christian societies. It was propagated by christian west throughout even before atheism/irreligious people have any influence in the west. Again overwhelming western cobservatives do hold and advocate for liberal values which I also agree with.
      India also has freedom of religion and other rights which is enshrined in our constitution. I am not saying that non hindus can't propagate religion whatsoever all across the country. But where ever hindutva is dominate christian have to face targeted attacks on homes, churches and other institutions. And bringing forth legislation as you stated, which targets the freedom of religion itself.
      And I know hindutva guys do play the victim cards even when they have power at hands, they are no less than the islamist and woke ideologaue. People who preach about tolerance alot are the most intolerant I have seen in my entire life.
      RSS having christian wing and muslim wing. Doesn't matter if its ideology itself is a exclusivist religo-cultural nationalism and goes against the liberal values of our country's constitution.

    Ram Madhav articulated Bharat’s (ancient Sanskrit name for India) “cultural nationalism” based on the principles of dharma ( ancient India’s code of ethics) as he put it, as it exists in India currently. However, there are two points of divergence with the political conservative movement in the U.S.: Christian conservatives are in the vanguard of this movement in the U.S. for whom proselytization and conversion is hardwired into their beliefs ( they want to ‘save’ non Christians from ‘damnation’), and their strong negation of climate change. So Bharat’s cultural nationalism/conservatism runs into those two opposing currents in the U.S.

A preacher’s responsibility is to communicate the message effectively while recognizing the right of the hearers to accept or reject the message. If anyone voluntarily accepts the call to follow Christ, he is welcome. It’s a gross error by all concerned to conflate all kinds of conservatism. In fact the very categories of conservative vs liberal are inadequate to describe the ground reality.
    What should be asked is this. What are American conservatives aspiring to conserve? The answer is this. The principles of their founding, their constitution, the Bill of Rights, individual liberty, small government, free enterprise, the right to believe or not believe in any form of religion etc.
    What is the RSS trying to conserve? A mythical narrative about a glorious past thousands of years ago, a value system that emerges out of the Rig Veda’s Purusha Sukta, the resultant caste system, inequality, society being more valuable than the individual, the narrative that non Hindus are foreigners and live here at the mercy of the majority etc.
    Unfortunately it is sad that American conservatives are ignorant about Indian ‘conservatism’. The value systems and world views of both are diametrically opposite. It’s an intellectually lazy exercise to paint conservatism everywhere with the same brush. - Thomas Daniel

Surya siddhanta is text book older than Christianity teaches very clearly about planetary motion and bulid a calendar based on it. Both abrahmic religion in histroy destroyed existing knowledge and created set of people who hates their own ancestors and unscientific in nature. Wherease Hindu dharma is all about pursuing knowledge. We do not have blasphemy laws as well as zeal to convert others .both system are polls apart but it is good to build alliance to defeat global left as well as islamist .Hindus should study dharmaic books as well as teach kids the difference. Bharat should invest more in science and technology and aim to master and become leader in science and technology. Our dharma unlike abrahmic faith does not stop us from seeking the truth. You didn't study Christianity properly. You are quoting Galileo case. It was happened in the dark age ( mediaeval period ). It is done by some extremist Christians. But at the same time there were lot of priests who supported Galileo. In the past Hindus also had many negative things like Sathi ( now also caste system 😷)
      But we reformed ourselves. There were many scientists, mathematicians, philosophers who were Christian priests. Later Western scientific developments happened under the patronage of Church. You are willfully forgetting the contributions of Christians in India in the field of health, education and other matters. I suggest you to read the biography of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa ( how he got the dharsan of Christ ). Also you can read The Christ We Adore, the book written by Ranganathanada, swamy of Sri Ramakrishna Mission Monetary. Those who studied Vedas and Upanishads ( especially Bhramins ) know who is Christ. But 90% of Hindus are reading Ramayana and Mahabharata only. Even though I am Christian I had Bhagavat Gita and few Upanishads like Khado, Ishowasyo.
      Here we have a history from 52 CE and we are Indians. Now in Kerala BJP is seeking the support of Christians😷Study the winning of Suresh Gopi BJP MP from Kerala. So don't be a Hindu extremist.

I freely admit that they did put us in a lot of trouble in the early decades, but they are also responsible for many economic reforms.
