I had all of these figure when I was a kid! These are the figures that I grew up with and still have them all. This episode was super fun and nostalgic. Thanks for the video!

This is the line of star wars that we collected growing up in the 90s, I still have most of them up in my parents attic lol so much nostalgia from these. My brother collects them carded now and has a mural on his wall of so many. It's nice they're not too hard to come by at a good price. 7-10 bucks a piece with some being more, but mostly every toy shop you go into will have a wall of these it's so nostalgic

That looks more like the Han from the Jabba beast pack, rather then wave one. The leg, and arm are in a slightly different posed for wave one, this is the better sculpt.

I called my local Meijer every single day for weeks trying to track this wave down after learning they were making new SW toys from watching Entertainment Tonight with my best friend. Ah, memories.

While I got my first action figure in 1994 (it was from BTAS), this was the line that got me into collecting. My family bought me the entire first wave for Christmas along with the Millennium Falcon. I was only 5 at the time and had only seen the first Star Wars movie, but it became the line I was obsessed. I collected Star Wars figures up through Attack of the Clones. After that I switched it up and focused on Marvel Legends. I still have most of my figures from these sets and look forward to passing them on to my kids. Whenever my family complains that I’m still collecting as a 31 year old, I just point back to this and say that they only have themselves to blame.

I bought these figures and thats what started my action figure collecting back in 1995. Though I don’t really care about them anymore, they hold such a good place in my memory. When they came out, I remember the craze! It was so much fun to hunt for them. I still have my collection up to about 1997.

Fun review of POTF II wave one! Really takes me back. I worked at KB Toys from 1996-2006 and was always thrilled when we got Star Wars toys in.

I remember when these figures came out, 96 was the year Lucasflm initiated their next phase which would begin with, Shadows of the Empire, then the release of the New Star Wars in 97, then Power of the Force figures, all leading up to Phantom in 99. It was an exciting time! These were the first figures we had from Star Wars in years. I wasn't a fan however of their musclely look, but i was happy just to have a Luke, Han, and, Vader brand new in zee packaging🙂

I’ve told people just how important this line was. Today it’s hard to imagine toy sections without Star Wars, but before this series, Star Wars barely had anything going on. I bought so many of these, I must have had every figure up until Episode 1 released. I look forward to more of these videos!

Love it. I had some of these as a kid especially from Wave 2. I collected every one from the first 4 waves a while ago and have them hung onto my bedroom wall, unopened too. I was very happy about Star Wars toys finally brought back to toy stores since also in the 90s like Power Rangers 30 years ago. There were new Star Trek toys being released but what about Star Wars? Where were toys from that popular space saga as we were in the mid 90s? Well sooner or later they came along. Thank you toy companies for allowing Kenner to bring Star Wars toys back.

I've always been a big Star Wars fan, I was born in early98, when POTF2 was going strong. Part of me is really on the fence about collecting this line and the subsequent episode 1 and Power of the Jedi lines, there's so many of them and I don't have a lot of good toy shops in my area. (I would want these on a presentable card back) But at the same time, they're very nostalgic and surprisingly accessible for a toy line that's coming up on being almost 30 years old! I don't think there are a grand deal of figures from POTW2 that demand a crazy high price on their own like some other toy lines of the same time would. Definitely would be my recommended starting place for anyone who's just getting into toy collecting and especially if they're a Star Wars fan!

Two little notes for the hardcore collectors.
You've got the wrong saber for Obi-wan. He actually had his own saber style with it's own handle closer to the one he used in the film.
And majorly, the Han you showed off isn't from 95 wave 1. He's actually the pack-in figure that come with Jabba the Hutt from 97. The style is similar but with some improvements to his scale, pose and detail -notably more detail on the shirt and jacket.
Beleive it or not, the wave 1 Han looked far worse. Even MORE bulky than the one you show here and with a very akward 'Heroic' Stance. Wave 1 Han is by far my least favurite of the whole line, but the pack-in Han is actually one of my favs. Funny how how what is essentially the same figure with minor alterations can go from worst to best!

I bought them all except Leia and Chewbacca, then later potf released new sculpts of Leia and Chewbacca that's when I acquired them.

Roided out was comical. Part of me does inside when the figures were cancelled, but when they came back and my brother collected some of these, I was already over it, and laughed at the ridiculous muscles. Glad it didn’t come back.

Nice retro review! I remember these were the first Star Wars figures I got as a kid. So after seeing episode 3 of Book of Boba, how epic is that Haslab Rancor fail now? Interesting to learn more about Rancor's.

Nothing beats pre-2002 Power Of The Force. Black Series is overpriced and the figures post Phantom Menace were too small!
