This series was incredible as a kid. Between these figures and the THX VHS Box Set of the trilogy, we really were spoiled in the 90s. I always wondered why they went with the snow pilot gear rather than the usual pilot uniform for Luke, but as a kid it never bothered me. Unless I’m mistaken, were Hoth Han Solo, Yoda, and Dagobah Luke in this wave as well? I know they were out before the Shadows figures hit, but I can’t remember if there was a third wave before they made the SOTE line. I’ll say one thing for the Boba figure - you could give him whatever personality you wanted, since the movies gave him virtually none haha. People today complain about variants, but old men like me remember the .00 and .01 on the back of the POTF2 cards that indicated half-circle or full-circle gloves. What a time to collect. Great video, man! Lots of cool memories.
Luke was labeled as X-wing but its not. It's from Empire Strikes Back from his Snowspeeder flight suit which had tan gloves and boots. It was also Puffy. The X wing suit had black gloves and boots and no huge collar. I just hope we get Dash Rendar Black Series or a whole Shadows of the Empire wave. (Edit: Well Technically he did wear it to Dagobah so I guess it is X wing Luke)
My high school friend got me the Boba Fett action figure. He just bought it from a toy store and mailed it to me. I still have him in my collection packed up in perfect condition.
I was in my early 20's when these came out & boy was I loving it! I remember getting that Boba Fett figure at my little local comic shop. Oh happy days. Still have mine too👍
Yeah, I was also in my early twenties (22) when these were released. Having grown up with The original Kenner Star Wars figures, to say that I was excited about the POTF2 figures is an understatement. I have most of the figures, on card, today.
Man, I LOVE the POTF2 figures! The original Kenner line will always be my # 1 because those are the ones that I grew up playing with. However, the POTF2 Figures are directly behind them. I don't have any of my originals from back in the day though. You're right about them being cheap. I bought damn near all of the figures online late last year and for very, very reasonable prices.
Gotta say the face on that Luke is surprisingly Mark Hamill-y I loved these figures in the 90s, and I think they get a bad rap now. Most still look good even roided out
70's and 80's were very simple and cartoony. Not sure how these could be a step back from them unless you just love the nostalgia of the first toys. The originals are collectible for being the FIRST figures of the movies and are iconic as such, but I wouldn't say they were more accurate or playable as the 90's ones. And the 90's line quickly got more characters than they ever got to in the original waves. I get it though because I have the same nostalgia for the 90's ones as many do with the 70's and 80's figures!

I definitely positively 100% had this whole set with Fett easily being my favorite as a kid. He fought with Dash Rendar many times.
Same here. I would stage my own Shadows of the Empire scenes from the N64 game and Dash would always fight with Boba
