Despite the tough fishing conditions, I had a great time with some fantastic company. Like you, Paul, meeting young Zac made my day. His enthusiasm ensures the future of angling. To think I was like that 55 years ago ! What happened to turn me into the curmudgeonly old harbinger of doom that I am now! Great banter with you all ,as ever. Have a great Christmas and see you next year.
Rob what can I say other than agree totally. Zacks enthusiasm is infectious and having your company on the beach is always great harbinger of doom or otherwise. There's always one sure thing to happen when you watch your video's Paul and that's, no matter how bad a day one is having by the end of watching your video your in a better place! So be encouraged even tho the fishing is poor its so uplifting. Your rants and rapore with the other guys around you is worth a watch and the fishing isn't bad either haha.
So encouraging to see young Zac out, such a pleasant young man! if only more of our younger generation would follow his lead maybe they'd be in a better place mentally and physically today. I started fishing at 7yrs old and it has never left me and I'm now 62.
Fishing here in Northern Ireland is a lot worse than on the mainland but getting out in the fresh air is what it is about, meeting people and chatting. Catching a fish is a bonus. So keep the video's coming and I wish you and your family a Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year
Peter what a kind thing to say and makes me very happy. I find fishing smoothes out the jumbles in my head and if it helps cheer others up then worth it for me just for that.
I agree that it’s a pity that more young people don’t follow Zac’s example and a real credit to himself and his parents with endless enthusiasm for our sport.
Bit tough on the fish front down this way for so many different reasons.
I have many fond memories from Northern Ireland when I spent time there in my youth and fished a few of the coastal nooks and crannies.

Use to fish that arm also the power station arm and the wooden inner arm.
Living in scotland now but like yourself its over 30 years since fishing there.
Hoping in the next year or so im going to relive this arm for fishing.

I started fishing in Shoreham with old blokes when I was a nipper and they sadly are long gone. Whenever I revisit these spots I also revisit and remember them with a smile and have so much to owe to them for helping me get started.
I spent a few months in Edinburgh when I was in the military and visited some of the beautiful coastal areas around there and am envious of your location.

Unfortunately have not had the opportunity to get out over the last several weekends as weather not been the best and also had a wee bit of work to do. Happy new year mate! Those frosty conditions are so rare now but that's the best for fishing! That's why I've only fished a handful of times since October! The South coast has been BATTERED by wind all Winter - and it continues. To think I used to fish 2 to 4 times A Week in the 70's.

Hi Kerry big happy new year to you fella and love frosty days as sea invariably calm and the weather has been crap recently. Was going last Saturday but too windy and wet. Then was planning this coming weekend and again weather rubbish, following weekend working and no doubt it will be perfect 😂

Hi fellow good to hear from you and yep weather recently rubbish. I generally fish at weekends re work, life etc. but last four times that I tried to go really strong winds and rain.
Was going today and howling wind and rain and totally unfishable. Was going to go to Sheppey with wind behind me but not the best tide and not fishing that well and as you know to travel any distance ain’t cheap now and then factor in bait.
Am planning to have another go next weekend to either Shoreham or Seaford so fingers crossed 🤞 take care Paul
@@SeaFishingWithPaul I remember when I first started fishing and learnt the hard way about unfishable weather when fishing due to rain, a quick check on Google could’ve saved me a four hour drive 😭 Good luck when you get out next 🎣
@@thefishingbarrel6419 Hi know the feeling and many times ignored the weather forecast with comments such as how bad can it be and I only need to get a bait in the water 😂😂how wrong was I after long drives a good soaking and then the depression of the drive home. Hi Gary it is made by Tronix and costs approximately £130.00
I used to have a trolley with smaller wheels that kept getting stuck when I walked over shingle and would make me feel very unwell lugging it so got this and so much easier lightweight and robust.
I have added a couple of extras to it and next video will show you what I have done. Secret is not to over inflate the tyres. Cheers fella 👍🐠🐠🍺🎅🏻

@@dazjohnstone4953 Hi Daz you smashed it and beat the rest of us 👍 was aiming to fish this Saturday at Shoreham somewhere but winds South Westerly and strong on the forecast so may have to try somewhere up in Kent with the wind behind. Wind can be a pain for fishing but could change. If the wind changes then it will be Shoreham. Tide going out till lunchtime on Saturday so would need to fish one of the deeper water marks cheers and again big well done on the Whiting 🐠🐠👍👍

@@fablerudwick3988 Hi Fable have tried the canal and small bass although it was terrible weather and had gone to coast but too windy so went there to get some protection. This weekend very strong wind and rain forecast so going to stay at home. 👍
