This time check out Vline Victorians in the yard and on the turntable. We go for a spin on the turntable in a C class
DELEC always had a huge array of different locos that provided a great opportunity for the train spotter. Check out this video if you'd like to journey back 35 years ago. This video was taken on the 13th of January 1990. Enjoy the trip down memory lane.

Fantastic video Barrie and a great variety of locos stored, sitting, awaiting their next services

Thanks very much, there was always great diversity back then. Thanks for watching

Looked a bit like "Gonzo" driving C504 on the turntable, that trademark hat? Always a wide variety of loco's in DELEC back in those days, plus the interstate blow ins. What happened to "we check out 8649" you said at the intro, it got missed. Nice work Barrie

Truthfully all these DELEC videos got a bit butchered on the edit, they were some of the very first vids that have been sitting for over a year ready to go public, so 8649 maybe in the next DELEC vid next month. Anything with the intro (jingle) at the beginning or 85 class end screen is an old edit and sometimes not my best work. I've gotten a little better with all that computer stuff in the last year or so. Thanks for watching as always Dave.

@@trainspottingwithbarrie Rather you than me Barrie, I am not a computer person, and as you have seen, my pages are simple and basic, I am a true Luddite.

    8649 still looking pretty young.

Great video. Were the V Line locos driven by Victorian drivers or NSW rail staff when north of the border?

Hi Andrew, the states worked in co-operational running at this time so NSW staff looked after the Vline gear.
