That is like me trying to wake up in the morning to go to work.
I love to hear these big beasts coming to life
Am I the only one enjoying the synced sound the pistons make when cold and then the big roar?
That rhythm is pure mechanical symphony!
I actually remember enough of my high school Deutsch to be able to get the meaning of your comment.
Damn! That English Type 37 had a SOUND to it!!!!
0:40 love the placement of the exaust stacks
That's me every morning with my old turbo diesel Jeep. My neighbors adore me. 😁
I can smell this video! (I love the scent of diesel in the morning.)
I can't smell nothing due to my nose being stuffed up from my allergy prone sneese fits.
I like petrol, diesel have too much unburnt carbon and smell nasty.
The Napier Deltic was a wild engine design.
Sound of power!
2:44 epic turbo
the most beautiful sound ever
@@jeffersonalvescosta6937 yeah
Do you like these Diesel Locomotives ? :)
ABSOLUTELY!!!….
Yessssss
As a train lover since 1954 seeing all types of locos right from Steam Era to the presnt Vande Bharath myself along with my countless numbers of train lovers likes eacb and eveey thing in railways and furthermore commenting on trains now and then But sincc the entire administra tion of raiiways linked to norms nothing will goes on beyond that As per myview Railways in India is runn ing under the influence of some vested interests amd is under 60 to 70 percent useless going beyond himan likes ONE PROVERB COMES TO MY MIND AND THAT IS NO ASKER AND NO TELLER LESS SAID IS THE BETTER WHO IS TO BELL THE CAT
Yess..
Oh yess..
Oh no..
Yess yess
Who doesnt :DD
Sounds like my neighbors in the middle of the night going at it
Very Good Bro🤣👍
@@Keymon_Ache haha exactly😂
It's so satisfying watching those beasts waking up❤️
Got to love the smoke!
Those old crazy locomotives drive You crazy
2:40 this torque...
Awesome beasts and that sound wow!!
2:10 was my favorite 🐌🐌🐌🐌
That's What I Call it Classic
Like a giant dragon clearing it's throat 😂
I didn't know train engine sounds so good. This is my new favorite beside motorcycle engine.
I used to drive gasoline tank trucks and one of the places I would load was right next to a rail line in the Port of Los Angeles. When a string of three or four big AC4400 locomotives power up you feel it in your bones!
Should hear a steam engine…
I like watching these videos. But actually you destroy the engines with a "cold start". Large locomotive engines are subject to extreme wear during cold starts because some components heat up faster than others. The cylinders may become crowned and the diesel engine consumes a lot of oil. The engines and locomotives are extremely expensive. And if it's a historic engine where you have to make everything by hand due to a lack of spare parts, even worse. That's why I recommend every operator of a new, old or historic locomotive with a large diesel engine to invest in a preheating system from the company "A.S.T." or "Webasto". The engine is then preheated before starting, where the components in the engine have expanded very well. The locomotive and engine are then profitably optimized. The lubricants are then also heated. The ignitability of the diesel fuel is then also better. And for sure, the diesel engine has a very long service life where it only sees scheduled service.
After going through yo ur comments I fullly ag ree with your commen ts sincw I myself. comi ng from a family. Bit off topic but I worked around these beasts in a different format. Drilling rigs. IN the 70s still running on wellhead gas. Wakashan locomotive, engines.
I love locomotives diesel sound
I had trouble coming up with a word alco's made and someone called it a burble and that is a perfect word I just love it!!!
The rhythm they make😌
Those Deltics were beasts. The whole world shuddered when thet were around.
very good ,like
Where are you from guys ?

USA
Germany
India 🇮🇳
The first sound is awesome like a synchronization
Where can I get batteries like that?
👍👍👍
Nice job dear ☺️🎉
the locomotive that you have used in the thumbnail, used to pass 200 yards away from my home, up until 10 years ago, but now the line is electrified
Very COOL.
Beautiful sound band 😁😎💃🥸😱😎🤠🤓👹👺❤️💘
Would have been nice if you told us what the engines are!
so epic
I remembered a childhood show of trains, can't remember the name
Baldwin, 801, with open stacks!
Yes this is cool 😊😊
Very nice
OH YEAH!!!
The 37 and 55 were the best #British power
Love that tractor at York.
When a diesel makes more smoke than a steamy, you know that it's old or somethings very wrong.
Diesel smoke is simply unburnt fuel, and it's common for them to be smoky until they are fully up to running temp, when the diesel will burn more completely and cleanly.
Yep diesels smoke and remember all the electric cars built today are still transported around the world in massive ships powered by even bigger and bigger polluting engines, as are your iPads that your watching this on and TVs, cookers, washing machines etc
@@vernongoodey5096 Don't look now but the maritime industry is rapidly switching away from diesel in favor of CNG, methanol and internal combustion engines burning ammonia, hydrogen or mixtures of these two. Methanol and CNG are powering ships on revenue runs now. Some ferries in Europe are battery electric. Mitsubishi and Wartsila are running full sized prototype engines on hydrogen and ammonia with a goal of having ships so powered in revenue service by the end of the decade. And before you say it, both the ammonia and hydrogen will be produced by renewable energy, meaning solar wind and hydropower. Prototype plants are being built in Europe now and one huge one is proposed for Louisiana. That is the near future. The hardware is being tested now.

The ALCO PA sounds like a GE 7FDL
1:54 my school bus on rails.
Nice video.
Well, most of us are from 🇺🇸.
Greta approved!
Class 37 just can't beat it!,
BATTERIES THAT REVIVE THESE
MONSTERS ???????
Converted diesel to hydrogen will revive them back tbh
OMG 😊
"here we are very eco freindly" meanwhile:
Do you like these Diesel Locomotives ? :). Where can I get batteries like that?.
People thinking their shitty 6.0s can roll coalbut when they see a train they shit themselves 😂
👍👍👍👍👍👍

Do not show this to Miss Thunberg ...... ( ? ) ...................... DAVE™🛑

4:10 This locomotive looks like a Brewster from the cartoon Сhaginton.
Think about young girl from sweeden. She cryies right now
HOW DEAR YOU!
Well, it's still a nice things to replace these old engines with electric ones for trains.
True. These museum pieces need preservation - and, *occasional* operation.
Real Trains should make *Soot* - but such trains should be used infrequently. Regular use of *this* kind is what causes the problems.
For regular use, when and where it is feasible - use electric.
Pana la urma o da pe pacura Numai păcură scoate fum.asa negru .
Only a couple were caught on video starting up, come on man.
Not cold it literally freezing start 😮 1:30
This video is dedicated to Greta, with love ❤
Whhhoaa..SMOKE STACK LIGHTING….
The engines are making a beat, and most of the train car is the engine. Turbo diesel, big big block. Could pull like 100 cars or more.
Their pollution footprint is definitely not banal
@Bomber
why do they hunt like that?
Schlimmer wie Dampflocks
Dude, it's time to take her out of service. Or do a major overhaul. ( That really smokey one in the thumbnail )
That's an ALCO in India. The Indian Railways are electric for the most part. There are some newer diesels too but these old ones are still being used and many smoke like that.
@@twowheeledparadoxthe Indian Alco locomotives usually smoke like that only for a few seconds if the driver makes a sudden large increase in the power setting. The fuel quantity increases immediately, and there is not enough air to burn it properly until the turbocharger gets up to speed. Once the turbocharger is at full speed the smoke stops, and some photographers lose interest. More modern designs sense the air pressure or flow into the engine and restrict the fuel supply to the amount that will burn fully in the available air.
He'll great adv for how we spend years cooking the planet !!
Get a 2 stroke, or get smoke
🥰🥰💗💗😍😍
There is no 2ТЭ10 locomotive (
I came.
Dont let those climate activists get even within 1 mile radius of these things😂😂😂
They would probably die of a seizure or brain aneurysm rupture rather than the smoke😂😂😂
Sound like harlie
Greta Tunberg (crazy Swedish climate protection activist) would love it 😁🤣🤣🤣
Jesus loves y'all personally.
Thank you!
He was driving that class 37 - didn’t you see 😆👍🏻
Blah blah blah 😂
I low key did a choo choo sound NGL
Very dirty!! 🤦🏿♂️ where is the greenpeace????
Enjoy while you can, Josephine Biden is ending all Diesel engines of every kind. To turn these cold motor takes lots of starting power , it’s slower so combustion ratio is low , the fuel puddles on the cold cylinders because of incomplete combustion, and the turbo is blocking air cause it won’t spin till the first real ignition happens and that’s when you see the first puff of smoke go from grey or blue to black. Then another puff, and another then the turbo finally spools up, and finally after 5. Minutes voila .
🎉🎉🎉🎉🤝🤝💪💪👍👍🚂🚂🚂
