It looks really good. You'll have a great shoot for sure. I burned off my dove proso millet last Sunday and I have a field covered in toasted dove seed. I'll check it out tomorrow to do a little last minute prep to include mowing a lot of my sunflowers that I grew. I hope we have a good shoot on opening day like I'm sure you will.
Thank you, hope y’all have a great shoot as well! Most of our doves actually left, we had a little cold snap for 4-5 days and we lost several of them. Might have to wait until the next cool spell to pick some new ones back up. Thanks for watching
Love your food plot videos im learning a lot thank you for that! I was looking up dual magnum and I see “dual II magnum” Is this the same stuff or is their 2 different types? Thanks again!
I believe that is the same thing but need to check the label to make sure. Thanks for watching and I’m glad you are enjoying the channel and finding it helpful! Good luck with the plots
What planting rate did you got with on the black oil sunflowers? And is there a reason you sew them versus using a planter? I have always used a planter but if there is a better/ more effective way I am all for it.
I planted a 40 LB bag over the 2 acre field , I spread it a little thick in some spots and a little thin in some spots. But overall I like that population, just gotta do a better job of getting it evenly spread. No reason other than I’ve never done it with the planter, and it’s really not anymore trouble to plant it by broadcasting. Either way should have good results, I’d say the planter will do a better job overall than the broadcast method. Thanks for watching
Heck yeah don’t bush hog it all you can probably have good shoots for all season if it stays standing and then mow a strip a few days before you shoot every time
Good one !! Thanks Wes.... Dove field looks great 👍
Thank you sir!
Thanks Wes. Glad to see you're feeling better. I hope you get a chance to shoot some video of the dove hunt!
Thank you Mark! Feeling much better! Thanks for watching
