Great set up, hope yall get some cooler weather for the shoot. Looks like we gonna have upper 90's for a heat index up here in Virginia for labor day weekend.
I’m not sure how the field will be once you flood for ducks but just remember you can not hunt ducks if you have bush hogged the grain. You can only bush hog after you have harvested the crop. Doves it’s perfectly legal to just bush hog a spot but not for ducks.
No you have just made that field illegal for ducks. You can’t manipulate a field once planted. And if you spray clear field sunflowers with roundup they will be dead. You can spray beyond. And it does a good job.
@korywilkins3218 listen to what I said in the video. I didn’t cut the soybeans for that reason, only the sunflowers. You’re right about the chemicals. Didn’t mean RoundUp
Best of luck to you. I am just letting you know that a field can not be manipulated if planted(sunflowers) outside of harvest. I have watched all of y’all’s videos and was wondering how you planned on dove and duck.
I was just trying to give you a heads up to possibly avoid a ticket. We had a field that we had done similarly for deer and ducks. The high end of the field we did for deer and cut it and the game warden told us if the water got one drop in the deer part it would be considered baiting/manipulation. He even said some game wardens would write a ticket even if the cut part was completely dry if it was that close to the duck hole
Not to be a butthole, but he makes no difference if he planted the sunflowers for doves he still can’t bush hog them if it’s in the duck hole. As long as no water touches them then he might be ok, it would be at the game warden’s discretion then. Y’all might want to freshen up on duck regulations

I said that at least once in the video

Cant have a dove field where your gonna flood and hunt ducks in tenn,,lead shot gets eaten by the ducks that lands on the ground
