Lots of lovely ideas Debs. I have made the Bardon dress and the Sauvie Sun dress, I made the Bardon dress and it was so shapeles that I ended up putting an elastic Into the waist and wore it recently on holiday and I really enjoyed wearing it. The Sauvie Sun dress with the elastic waist was also a great success. Can I suggest you look at The Hinterland dress from Sew Liberated, which is perfect for layering.
Thank you Margaret 😊 Elastic often so helpful. Yes good idea - I've made a Hinterland and am partway through their pattern hacking Creative Hinterland course. I m wanting to make a sleeveless one with pintucks next I think!
That dress you have on is just lovely and the fabric is stunning. I would be very interested to see the Sauvie made up. I keep thinking about making this. I don't see why woven patches wouldn't work for the nest top given that the rest of the bodice would stretch, I just don't know how good they would look - I also have that pattern but am saving it to make for the winter. I am having a 'Donny' moment having just made two and about to start on a third. I am thinking perhaps I will wear this style for the summer rather than pulling on a t-shirt which is what I usually do!
Thanks Kate, you know I had forgotten all about the Donny. I made a couple one was less successful due to fabric choice. That might work for a hand sewn project!! You may be officially a genius ! 😁Ta !!
Loving the plans. Teal for Yantas I think and the duvet for the Closet Core Crew dress. I love that pattern but currently not in a position to sign up at the moment. Stripy t shirt fabric looks so good. Hand stitching on hols- what a fab idea- very restful. Definitely one to think about when holidaying in the UK. I have been busy making wrap skirts and blouses as Co-ords as well as dresses and wide leg flowy trousers but so frustrated at the weather I haven’t worn everything yet! Happy Sewing😊. Lynne
Oh thanks Lynne. Well you are going to have a beautiful wardrobe when the sun comes out!! 🤩 The hand sewing thing is so fab. Scratches my itch to 'do' and produces such lovely garment s too. There's a top tips for hand sewing vlog here somewhere!! D ☺️
Lovely plans X I’m currently toileing the Avid seamstress sundress, I think I’ve nearly got the fit 🤞🏻 I definitely put things off if I’m not feeling the feels, which is why I have so many WIPS Good luck with your summer sewing ❤
Thanks Sam!☺️ Oh well done that sundress is so lovely. I don't really do WIP s once I start cutting out it gets done, but I definitely have a couple abandoned after all the toiles in the the world! 😬😂
lovely plans, and adore your fabrics, wonderful colours. Both options for dungers are lovely, leaning towards the more teal one. I am also making some fresh tee shirts, as mine were tired. Really enjoy your vlogs
@@debsmadethis Thank you, I am using the raglan tee from itch to stitch for cotton Jersey in my stash, forget the name, maybe Henley? For the viscose Jersey besties tee, a swing tee from pattern emporium, and any leftovers big enough the naya tee from Tammy handmade. I usually make shirts, tees are SO quick to make!
Oh wow Debs you have a lot of great plans! I really like the look of the peacock linen but it sounds like you’re gonna get more wear out of the lighter blue. I also vote for “small well-behaved flowers” think they will look summery even if the sun doesn’t make an appearance. I made a few woven T-shirts for work and they’ve been super-easy to wear so planning to make more.
Thank you! I may have managed to get myself another option for the Yantas too! I keep meaning to make a Scout tee or Evelyn blouse to add to the wardrobe too! Woven tees are such a good option! Thanks for watching ☺️

I do enjoy your vlogs - we have similar taste. I’ll buy all natural fabrics in blues and I adore a blue stripe jersey - any shade, navy, steel blue etc. I stopped at the eternal maker on the way back from the beach (down in Chichester) with the dog and husband and just had to buy yet more striped blue and white jersey - anyway I’m making two new t shirts - a gable and an Agnes as I like to refresh my t shirts too. I’ve also a steel blue linen pair of burnside bibs cut out as my old pair need replacing. Your plans sound exhausting - I also list 30 things I want to make and forget I sew about 2 things a month and recycle maybe one older project. Your swimsuit looks an amazing fit. The Liberty swimwear fabric is joyous.
Thank you Sarah! ☺️ Yes I have to put a limit on blue fabric because I'll just keep collecting..... especially linen, but I do wear all my blue bottoms 😁😇. I was really pleased with the fit of the sunstar, was going to sew it in the Liberty today but editing the vlog took ages 😁😂 The perfect blue striped jersey is a very lovely thing!
Thanks Kerry! That was what I decided but I got very frustrated wanting to do it properly and alter the pattern. The designer said there wasn't a way to do it !!!!

Lovely ideas x I desperately need to make some nice tops so rhapsody is on the cards for me
It's a good one! Thanks for watching Katie and for taking time to comment lovely! 😍
I love your plans. Also need to make myself some t-shirts.
Thank you. The white Stasia and the JLH Emmies have been on strong rotation here..... what's your go to pattern?

Ooo fab!
Hi the pinky plummy fabric I gave you is sand washed viscose twill - if that helps
Well there you go, definitely wouldn't have guessed, I think you did tell me too 😂 Thanks treasure!
Why not put a triangle of fabric into the Canopy top, like a modesty panel? Really enjoy your vlogs x

@kerrymcilwaine that is such a good Idea!
