As a fellow dark-haired lady, the best thing I ever bought was a little at home wax kit! Smooth legs for weeks 🤣 You've got some beautiful projects planned, can't wait to see the process! X
We are having extreme heat warnings in California this week, so wet and cool sounds good to me. My sewing room doesn't have a/c so I have it shut up for the day so it doesn't heat up the rest of the house ( it's 84F in that room right now). So instead of sewing I am crocheting and watching sewing videos in the room that does have a/c. I never heard of "Little Women Atilier" and that cottage core dress is perfect! I love that sage linen for it too.
Oh golly! Poor you! That sounds really difficult. We had a heat wave last summer and I couldn’t do any sewing it was so hot so I totally sympathise with you. Crochet and sewing videos sounds like the best plan! Hope it cools down for you soon ❤️
I live in Arizona...it's 110 in the shade at 10 AM; my whole house is 84 degrees! I have a ceiling fan in each room which makes it feel quite a bit better. My "sewing room" is at the front of the house where the big window is, giving wonderful light and letting in dreadful heat. I'll start sewing after dinner, when the sun starts to set, and these dresses are an inspiration! I can hardly wait for October!!!
A wonderful catch up and what a weekend you are going to have! Fabulous vintage fashion and those sunglasses are the perfect addition 🤩 I look forward to seeing your finished collection for Goodwood. Last year we were at a wedding near Oxford that weekend and the heat was really ridiculous 😂 hopefully not just so hot this year! Dry and warm is perfect. I think I like the last fabric for your 60’s outfit but as you are going to make them both you can have a choice 😉 xx
Thank you so much Alison! I cannot wait for it, it’s going to be such a good weekend. I think that fabric is the right option for 60s as it will stand out in the crowd! Thank you for your lovely comment ❤️
New subscriber here! Sooooo many of your inspiration pieces are the same as mine! I am very excited to binge watch all your episodes. Especially since I’m a knitter, gardener, wannabe homesteader and multi-crafter and am delighted to see your content!
Hello Rachel ! Thanks for sharing your inspirations ! If you like big sleeves, I suggest the DELANO dress by Ose Patterns (which is my own brand). I am French but my patterns and videos are in English as well. Enjoy your summertime !
Hi Rachel. Loved this video. Very inspiring and I love the style of dresses you like too. Must keep an eye out for some old duvet covers. Looking forward to your next video. Sarah 😊

Hello! Thank you so much ❤️ yes I did make it! The fabric is by Lewis & Irene from their memory made collection last year. I don’t know if it’s still available but maybe if you search the web a bit ❤️

That vintage fabric and dress styles took me back to my childhood in the 70's! Sigh...
My mother in law always smiles at these dresses as she wore them the first time around haha
The skirt on the little women dress looks more boxy pleats (lovely) it will look lovely in that sage linen 👍
Yes I thought that too! Might be worth trying to do pleats instead of gathers… thank you 🩵

Thank you for the suggestion I’ll definitely take a look! ❤️
@@RachelBearn Thanks a lot ! Have a beautiful day !
As someone who has used sheets for sewing. I would suggest ripping the pillowcase, they don't do a good job cutting on the grain.
Thanks for the tip!
Rachel, I love the fabric that your dress is made out of. ❤
Thank you! It’s Lewis and Irene Memory Made by designer Cassandra Connolly ☺️🧡
Really enjoyed seeing all the inspiration for you next makes. You have some great dresses planned.
Thanks Kate ❤️ I am very much looking forward to summer seeing 🧵🪡✨
Hi Rachel. Loved this video. Very inspiring and I love the style of dresses you like too. Must keep an eye out for some old duvet covers. Looking forward to your next video. Sarah 😊

So inspiring. Love all your ideas 🤩
Ah thank you so much! ❤️
I picked up some very beautiful fabrics and off the topic of fabrics. You are beautiful. I love your thick eyebrows.
Aw thank you Zelda! ❤️
Son de Flor is from Lithuania.
Oh I didn’t know that! Thank you for telling me! ❤️
First video of yours I'm watching but I love how your personality comes through! Added more videos to my To Watch list ☺
Ah thank you so much lovely! So great to have you here ❤️❤️
Great ideas and brilliant purchase of the bed linen. What top are you wearing please ? It’s really lovely. Xx
Thank you! It’s a pansy dress - pattern from Rosery Apparel ☺️
@@RachelBearn Looks lovely! Where did you find the fabric?
I think the Little Women Atelier dress skirt is pleated not gathered. Which probs gives more fullness.
Yes someone else has said maybe box pleats! So will give that a try if I can ☺️
