  • Join Alistair as he visits an unusual summit cairn above Glen Lyon, which almost looks like the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones, as he wanders round the 4 Munros of Carn Gorm, Meall Garbh, Carn Mairg and Creag Mhor/Meall na Aighean. Glen Lyon is a beautiful part of Scotland, feeling almost hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the busier regions, whilst offering spectacular views towards Schiehallion and the Lawers Range.

    Great video and nice to see what they look like (did most of these in the clag). Thanks for uploading, guys.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏔👍

      Thank you! It’s always a bit of a downer when you make the effort to climb a few mountains only for the weather to scupper any chance of a view.

    Carlsberg don't do lunch-break entertainment, but if they did.

      Thanks Paul, you’re not the first person to say that either. How are you getting on?

      @@HighlandHikers just put up my first attempt earlier. Went up stob ban! It's far more difficult than the gopro and a lot heavier too! You can tell me what you think!

      Plan on giving it a watch later on. We considered using the X-T200s but just enjoy the stabilisation the GoPro and Pocket 2 provide! Plus they fit in a pocket!

      Thanks Kevin. I certainly enjoyed it and wasn’t exhausted by the end of it either which is always a bonus. Have you been up recently?

      @@HighlandHikers I did it around 5 6 years ago with a wild camp. 1st day okay, next day, clag fest...By the way, I said nice one guys as I thought Douglas was lurking in the background somewhere 😁 Nice one, Alistair 😉👍

      I’ve got my first tent but need to test it out before trying a wild camp. That sounds good and bad though!
      Dougs was there in soul, but we’ll be back out together in next weeks video which features the hardest walk we’ve ever done together.

    Great video and going to add it to the list. Can you tell me how long the whole route took you please?

    • @HighlandHikers
      @HighlandHikers  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Craig. It took me about 7 hours for the full circuit and that was at a fairly leisurely pace.

    How long did it take you to do that circuit bud?

    • @HighlandHikers
      @HighlandHikers  ปีที่แล้ว

      It took me just under 8 hours, however during that I flew the drone 3 times and helped someone look for their dog, so I imagine I could have been significantly quicker!
