An ascent of four Munros; Càrn Gorm, Meall Garbh, Càrn Mairg and Creag Mhòr
Parking in a small car park in Invervar to the South of the road
The initial walk is through a gate to the West side of a small house. From here, there's an easily followed path over two stiles or through to large gates.
The path meanders for a while before you reach a third gate, passing through this it is important to keep to the left and follow the deer fence. It is tempting to follow the hydro track here but that would be the reverse of this route.
Following the deer fence you gain another hydro track and eventually you are required to cross the Invervar Burn. Moving past the dam on the left, a little further on there's a very questionable bridge. If you're not keen crossing this, there is a smaller section of the burn a little farther on.
Once across the burn, and you make your way past the forest on the left, the real ascent starts.
Progress is steady on the very broad South side of Càrn Gorm. There are plenty of flat sections to give you a little respite prior to ascending once more.
Reaching the top of Càrn Gorm offers and excellent view point to the Ben Lawers group to the South and West. You will start to see the full scale of the walk ahead from here.
Moving onto Meall Garbh, there's a steady descent to the bealach and renascent up to Meall Garbh. There's nothing too strenuous here and the second summit is made in good time. On the top of Meall Garbh there is a cairn made from old metal fence posts. You can't miss it! The summit is fairly large and flat and you can move around to take in all the surrounding views.
Moving on to summit number four. This is a little longer and tricker to reach. we looped round, eventually heading South towards the Munro top of Meall à Bhàrr. After gaining this, we progressed East along the brad ridge towards Càrn Mairg. Once atop this Munro it's fairly easy to see the remains sections of the hike.
Care has to be take descending this one as there is small crags and steep sections to the South East. By head directly East there is a faint path to be gained before making your progress South towards Creag Mhòr.
There's a large rocky summit on Creag Mhòr with fantastic view points again in all directions. At this point you will see how far you've come with Càrn Gorm sitting proud in the distance.
The descent back to the hydro track is steep and grassy in places, so care must be taken here not to slip. The descent is very quick and the main hydro track is gained prior to reaching the road which leads to the car park.
As a multi-Munro day, I would say this is one of the easier ones I have completed. Definitely one to look into for your first big hike.
A good day with some amazing views.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah I was a bit gutted when I found that out. Narrating it was never going to be the same but what can you do? 🤷🏼‍♂️ thanks for watching. ATB.

That was probably one of the best vlogs I've seen if not the best. When you were on the third munro you mentioned your eyes were watering and this resinates with me as my eyes did the same coming off the summit yesterday which wasn't pleasant whatsoever. Keep them up and hopefully see you soon.
