  • Alistair and Douglas tackle the notoriously steep climb of Ben More and are rewarded with a stunning cloud inversion over Loch Lomond and the mountains to the south. Then its on to Stob Binnein and taking the time to appreciate the spectacular views on another glorious day on Scotland's mountains.
We spoke to the people on the summit of Stob Binnein before flying the drone anywhere near them.

Thanks Kevin, was very happy to experience my first cloud inversion, even if it was only to the south. It was mostly hidden from us as we climbed up the north side of the mountain and was a pleasant surprise when we stepped onto the summit.

One of the reasons I love your channel is how upbeat you guys are whilst tackling these mountains. Not easy doing them in the heat or very extreme weather either. This channel in my eyes is brilliant and I'm pretty sure in time will have loads of subscriber's. ATB guys and well done.

Thanks again Marco. We always have a good laugh when we’re out so I’m glad that comes over in the videos.

It’s a cracker of a mountain with a rewarding view after a fairly unrelenting climb.

I’m glad it helped out today. The walks certainly help us relax and forget about the pressures of work, so it’s good to hear that the videos are helping others. Hope the rest of your week is better - Alistair

What date was this walk lads? Was up on Cruach Ardrain last Thursday and was treated to a fantastic inversion. Great video once again.

Thanks Conor. We were up these 2 weeks ago so we couldn’t have waved over to you I’m afraid. There seems to be a lot of inversions over the last couple of months and so glad I got to see my first one - Alistair

Did this walk last Thursday and Ben More is an absolute killer. However great views from the top.

There’s no easing into it or a wee bit to rest either, just straight up, but as you say it’s worth it.

Magic! Great stuff guys, cracking film. I’ve felt that this year a few times, I’m too Scottish for all this heat :-)

Thanks Brian. I don’t cope well in extreme heat but it’s the suntan lotion running into my eyes that gives me the most grief!

@@HighlandHikers You need an 80s style neon sweatband - let’s make them cool again 😂

We’ll take our Tough Mudder headbands next time, although I am totally up for bringing the 80s neon coloured ones back!

@@HighlandHikers Yep, that was us, glorious day. We got a superb inversion the following Thursday up Beinn Dòrain and Beinn an Dòthaidh too. Been great weather last few weeks.

That would have been amazing to see one from the top of those. I remember you commenting on how articulate we were and all I could remember was the colourful language I used after bashing my knee on Ben More 😂 hopefully the weather continues for a bit longer before winter sets in. Do you have any more walks planned?

@@HighlandHikers Haha, I remember. Yeah, planning to do Cruach Àrdrain and Beinn Tulaichean in a few weeks time.

Those were the first we did together as a video for the channel. We still can’t pronounce Ardrain correctly! Which side are tackling them from?
