I’m putting together a set-up similar to yours for remote teaching via Zoom while the COVID-19 crisis persists: I plan to put one of my inputs (an iPad Pro screen capture) through a Blackmagic HDMI to USB Converter Mini. It’s the only way I can see to to get a second video signal into the Web Presenter. My camera is a C100 Mk II. Audio I plan to put into the Presenter XLR input via a Mix Pre-D. The Web Presenter itself will connect to a MacBook Pro via USB-of course. I have the gear on order but I keep reading old posts about audio delay issues. Was that an early bug? I wasn’t planning on using any additional software like OBS, just straight into Zoom. Do you think I’m likely to encounter audio sync issues? Sorry for all the questions! Thank you!
When we used this setup for filming we didn't encounter any audio sync issues with the video, but everyone's setup is different. Worst case scenario, if the audio isn't right then I wouldn't worry too much. Everything is fixable and there are plenty of no-nonsense guides like this to help you power through. Speaking of which, there's more tips like this at: radio.co/radio-university/

Great video here, exactly what I was looking for. I got 2 questions! If you wanted to send the audio from your mixer to the blackmagic smart panel, could you run from the XLR main outs and using a converter, run the signal to an RCA at the blackmagic unit? My mixer doesn't have a RCA out like yours does. Second question, in efforts to acquire more than 2 camera angles but not wanting to purchase the more expensive black magic units because $$$, could you split the audio on the way out of the mixer to run to two separate blackmagic smart panel units, and then run both units into OBS for your live stream? Or can OBS only connect to one unit at a time? Hope that makes sense! Sorry still kind of new to the whole live streaming thing. Thanks again!
1. Yes, you can use an XLR to RCA cable to plug directly into the Blackmagic Web Presenter. But we recommend using high quality cables to get the best sound. 2. Blackmagic have released the ATEM Mini camera switcher (which costs $300). That can handle 4 camera inputs and 2 audio sources, so can handle your mixers main outs. We think that would be more cost effective than buying another Blackmagic web presenter box - and you can use it with OBS.

Can you suggest a camcorder with long-range Zoom capability that also works well with low lighting, please? We are currently using the Canan R800. It works well close. If the camera is 50ft away, the quality is lost. I need a camera to put 50 to 100 feet away and zoom into someone's face and not lose the image's quality.
Hi David, I don't know if we can recommend any camcorders that provide that level of clarity and detail, but we would say that either a FullFrame DSLR or Mirrorless Camera with a 70-200mm lens could be what you're looking for.
At 2:20 in the video, our lovely presenter shows you how to switch between cameras. The software used, OBS, gives you greater control over what's displayed - check out this guide on how you can use it with your video setup: radio.co/blog/why-you-should-use-facebook-live-for-your-radio-station
We haven't tested the SE-2200 ourselves, but it does look like you can hook it up to the Blackmagic, so shouldn't be a problem. Take a closer look at this setup at: radio.co/blog/how-to-livestream-to-facebook-and-youtube

Great video guys! I have just invested in the same setup (using two GH5 cameras and a Zoom F8 for the separate audio feed) but experiencing really bad sync issues with the audio and video when coming into OBS. Any advice on solving that problem?
To fix bad syncing, go into your advanced audio settings within OBS, then change the sync offset. Any other questions about your station then drop our team a message at studio@radio.co.
Hey, I have a problem with audio maybe you can help. We use a 2 camera setup with 2 video cards we give audio from our wirelss microphone through some kind of splitter to the video cards, and that way when we change camera we still in sync ( if we gave audio to obs directly was out of sync) now I'm wondering if adding a mix board would help with the noise we getting but I don't know how to double the signal of the table to the cards.. How do you handle audio in a 2 or 3 camera setup?
Bit of both. Camera guy switches using the Blackmagic and sets everything up in OBS to also switch between cameras, screencast, and preloaded videos. There's a bit more info about this setup worth checking out here: radio.co/blog/how-to-livestream-to-facebook-and-youtube
We used normal video lighting with ADJ Mega Hex Par - here's a full list of equipment used: radio.co/radio-university/professional-multi-camera-live-video-streaming-setup

Thank you, our 200,000+ fans could really use an upgrade and this might be perfect. But I had trouble finding an example of a Live stream video on your Facebook or TH-cam pages. Where can I see an example of the results from this live video setup in action?
Hey there! We actually did a live stream using this setup not too long ago! Here it is on our Facebook page: facebook.com/radiodotco/videos/2165096323733921/
Radio.co thank you! Really appreciate seeing an example like this. Unfortunately, that lag, from the dialogue not matching up with the video, is incredibly distracting. what causes that?
Pretty much all i needed to know, thank you! But i have one question: is it possible to record both camera signals to save them as separate files with this setup you use?
Yes, you can record both cameras with this setup. We go into the setup in a bit more detail here: radio.co/blog/how-to-livestream-to-facebook-and-youtube
@@Radiodotco Do you record the different camera signals with the blackmagic web presenter? And if so - which software do you use for the recording and how is it possible that both cameras are recorded separately? Because I want to have both signals without being edited together from the stream. I couldn't find anything in the article you linked.
question? I TRY TO COMMUNICATE ME CANON C200 WITH A BLACKMAGIC HDMI CONNECTOR BUT I DO NOT RECEIVE SIGNAL IN MY COMPUTER, ANY SPECIAL CONFIGURATION? THANK YOU
No, but you should have a manual with the Blackmagic you can flick through. Alternatively, see if you can find videos like this one with the same camera make and model to see how others addressed the problem.
Very cool setup there, :) i will say my setup its much more simple, :) just have a small audio interface on my desk, a elgato pci-e to recording the output from my sony a6300 camara, but ofc i know we can se a big diff between my videos and your videos 100% :) but i'm a software developer and i'm creating guide for people so my focus are in the content but still so nice setup there :D

Very informative! I'm more audio but leaning to video recently. I'd recommend looking into getting a couple Golden age pre 73 preamps for those Neumann's. it would be a HUGE upgrade to your audio for like $500. Thanks and your welcome *wink

Honestly, you can use whatever camera you think is good enough! This video demonstrates a professional, high-level setup, but it's definitely not the only way to do it.
Great video! Super informative. Thank you! Quick question about the sound foam panels, where did you get the ones that are flat? The link you have here is for the ones on amazon but it looks like you have 2 different soundproof panels on the wall? Thank you in advance for your help.
What is the best platform to stream live 24/7 to 1000 Pc clients or locations at one time fm one studio location? But also be protected from outside people. This is for commercial use.
Radio.co is the perfect solution to broadcast to thousands of listeners, either in your studio or on-location. See how it can work for you: radio.co/blog/broadcasting-online-radio
It's absolutely possible! There are plenty of USB mics you can find on the market now that provide great quality and plug straight into your laptop, no mixer needed. The Rode Podcaster is a great example.
Or if you wanna spend a lot less cash but still cast good quality video and sound to any site out there -> Neuman mics just for talking thats overkill a cheap usb condencer mic from gear4music Works. Any consumer cam with hdmi out a gopro, a panasonic gh3 or a g7, blackmagic design pocket cam ect ect (stuff you can buy used for a cheap price today) and an elgato cam link works supergood and if your laptop is strong enough you might even be able to run two cam links the same time. And of course you need the obs app which is free.

Hi there, we are trying to improve our setting for live courses on our channel and Im stuck with audio. Right now we use some wireless microphones that sync into one receiver. That receiver we plug it through a kind of splitter ( one audio in, up to 4 headphones out) and then to the 2 video capture cards ( giving each card direct sound) the problem is we get noise. I just bought a mixing table similar to yours but it has only one audio output! How do I connect that to the 2 video recording cards?? Thanks a lot in advance!
Honestly, we can't give you an answer as we would need to see your setup. It all depends on your wireless system, what mics, and cables you are using (a splitter cable is never a good idea by the way). I'd recommend looking at a breakdown of our video setup for direction: radio.co/blog/how-to-livestream-to-facebook-and-youtube If you have any questions or want to talk with us about how we can help your radio station, then email studio@radio.co.
I just was emailing someone yestrday at radio co on how to do this. But i also wanted to know how could you add you radio station to the live stream...say like people who wanna see everything that happens behind the scenes but still wanna hear what we talk about and the music we play...

Hi David, I don't know if we can recommend any camcorders that provide that level of clarity and detail, but we would say that either a FullFrame DSLR or Mirrorless Camera with a 70-200mm lens could be what you're looking for.
oh wow that's such an old mixing desk, it's the exact same model we use at college xD. It's a decent desk, small simple.
An oldie, but a goodie!
@@Radiodotco indeed it is
thanks for sharing and wishing you all the best
very nice video ,please tell me how i change camera modes or angles in live or recording without stopping the video.
At 2:20 in the video, our lovely presenter shows you how to switch between cameras. The software used, OBS, gives you greater control over what's displayed - check out this guide on how you can use it with your video setup: radio.co/blog/why-you-should-use-facebook-live-for-your-radio-station
Great video! Learned a lot.
Thanks for sharing. Your list doesn't include the studio lighting you used.
Lighting can be found on this list here: radio.co/radio-university/professional-multi-camera-live-video-streaming-setup
Will the black magic work well with a Datavideo SE-2200 ?? I have 4 cameras and 2 Computer inputs. All able to be Broadcast.
We haven't tested the SE-2200 ourselves, but it does look like you can hook it up to the Blackmagic, so shouldn't be a problem. Take a closer look at this setup at: radio.co/blog/how-to-livestream-to-facebook-and-youtube
Similar to what I do but I use stream deck for the switching, looks great, many thanks
Cool - never heard of Stream Deck before, will check it out.
@@Radiodotco El gato stream deck, it's quite nice
Hi, Great video thanks!!
Is it possible to have 2 HDMI inputs? Or does that card only allow 1 HDMI, hence the need for the HDMI to SDI converter?
No, it's just 1 HDMI input - here's a breakdown of all the equipment, how it connects together, and where to buy it: radio.co/blog/how-to-livestream-to-facebook-and-youtube
Great set up, owsome video
Thanks for the info,
Glad to help. Discover how everything works and where you can buy the equipment from at: radio.co/blog/how-to-livestream-to-facebook-and-youtube
Consider upgrading your mixer...Neuman to Behringer? heh...that's like driving a Lambo on a dirt road...
Was thinking the same!
@Mr. Master Key I would spend some $ on a Yamaha mixer. A Yamaha MG12XU sounds amazing and is super afforable.
You switch camera from blackmagic? So you are using obs just for titles and rtmp, or you can control balckmsgic cameras from there too?
Bit of both. Camera guy switches using the Blackmagic and sets everything up in OBS to also switch between cameras, screencast, and preloaded videos. There's a bit more info about this setup worth checking out here: radio.co/blog/how-to-livestream-to-facebook-and-youtube
@@Radiodotco great. Really thanks!
Hello brother.. you didn’t mentioned which lighting kit are you using in your studio ?
We used normal video lighting with ADJ Mega Hex Par - here's a full list of equipment used: radio.co/radio-university/professional-multi-camera-live-video-streaming-setup
Great informational video...
where would you add a vision mixer to monitor the camera feeds and switching between them ?
The Blackmagic web presenter can switch between feeds, or use OBS to switch on your computer. Full run down of this setup with links to get the equipment here: radio.co/blog/how-to-livestream-to-facebook-and-youtube
This just might be the route i take

Cool - hit us up if you need anything at studio@radio.co.
I believe you can send the cameras through the Blackmagic and out to software like OBS (which we used) to record.
We all have to start somewhere, so good job on getting up and running! If you're thinking of following a similar setup to ours, then find the equipment and how everything fits together at: radio.co/blog/how-to-livestream-to-facebook-and-youtube
what material do you use for your background?
Acoustic foam tiles: www.amazon.com/dp/B07C94ZZ57?tag=radiodotco-20
Very informative! I'm more audio but leaning to video recently. I'd recommend looking into getting a couple Golden age pre 73 preamps for those Neumann's. it would be a HUGE upgrade to your audio for like $500. Thanks and your welcome *wink
Great
hey! your setup is amazing! where did you get the soundproof foam? Thank you
All the equipment and setup can be found here: radio.co/radio-university/professional-multi-camera-live-video-streaming-setup
What is the size of the TV with the questions? Very helpful video. Thank you.
I believe it was a 47" TV, or roundabout that size. Find out more at: radio.co/blog/how-to-livestream-to-facebook-and-youtube
Are those foam boards more aesthetic than practical in that large un-foamed room?
Surprisingly, they help a lot in such a big room, but it's still not enough to remove every reverb. We use all manner of sound treatment and even have our own sound booth which does wonders: radio.co/blog/best-sound-microphone
It was really very educative, but can you please tell me the approximately how much will this cost? Or at least give me the details of equipments I will find the costs by myself. Thanks in advance.
Is it possible to use GoPro or any camera to Live Stream Dance show at stage? 720p is enough?
Honestly, you can use whatever camera you think is good enough! This video demonstrates a professional, high-level setup, but it's definitely not the only way to do it.
Interesting. But kindly tell us the badget in video

Hi, Do you have service for setting up for us?
Hi, I'm wondering is a mixer mecessary for a live streaming? Is it possible to do broadcasting using a good camera, a mic, and a laptop?
It's absolutely possible! There are plenty of USB mics you can find on the market now that provide great quality and plug straight into your laptop, no mixer needed. The Rode Podcaster is a great example.
I would to see the list of the equipments! I definitely need to buy boom arm

Or if you wanna spend a lot less cash but still cast good quality video and sound to any site out there ->
Neuman mics just for talking thats overkill a cheap usb condencer mic from gear4music Works.
I have a question according studio.
Go for it - probably best to contact us at studio@radio.co.
Hi, black magic, Canon Camera, Lumix panasonic.... all these items are not sold by amazon at the moment.
Although not available on Amazon, they are on other places if you do a quick search, e.g. Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini Monitor is on Wex Photo Video.

I'd recommend looking at a breakdown of our video setup for direction: radio.co/blog/how-to-livestream-to-facebook-and-youtube

Just use a y split
I just was emailing someone yestrday at radio co on how to do this. But i also wanted to know how could you add you radio station to the live stream...say like people who wanna see everything that happens behind the scenes but still wanna hear what we talk about and the music we play...
Using OBS (as we mention in the video), add an audio input capture to a scene. This can be your mixer for example so you have control over what your listeners hear. during the live stream, how do you switch between cameras?
Is it through OBS that you control the Black magic box connections?
You have to do it manually via the Blackmagic front panel to switch camera angles. Then you can switch scenes through OBS.
Whats the Model# for both of the cameras? Especially the lens on the Canon
It's the Canon c100 mark 2 with canon 16-35 f2.8 Lens and Lumix GH5 with 12-60mm leica lens.
