I love your channel, I am a Ordained Minster and rent out a Hall 2 nights a week to spread the word of GOD. I have 30+ people most times, at the beginning of this Covid crap, we had 93 souls asking so many questions. My son, uses the version for Win7. We don't have any NEW computers.
Thanks for your service. You definitely don't need NEW computers, just computers that have enough processing power to perform without hiccups. WIN10 is definitely the OS you'll want to use as WIN7 is no longer supported by Microsoft.

Steve Ovat You connect it with an app called NDI HX Camera and then download the plug in for it for OBS. It’s super easy. I use 3 iPhones as my webcams for our streams at church. It’s helpful when you have a small budget and now you can do multiple angles.

@@MonteWeaverofficial A buddy of mine introduced me to OBS, and tried to get me up to speed using in via a phone call. Well I ended up forgetting what he told me. So the other day I started watching videos, like yours. That helped a lot. Today's adventure started out as a search for using cheap IP security cameras for streaming, yep it can be done. Might be something for you to touch on in the future.

Ok. I got two ?s
1. Our laptop is a Dell, so when I pulled up the OBS software, it only gave me a single and not a split screen.
2. When I tried to hook up the external, it didn't recognize it. Do I need to install the disc that comes with the camera? I only plugged in the USB cord from the camera directly to the laptop.

Thanks a lot @Monte Weaver. The tutorial is really helpful. Could you please advise me about one thing? I'm about to use DSLR Camera with a shotgun mic and I'm worry about the audio quality. (I have to capture a few people speaking from the stage.) Looking forward to hearing from you.
Without knowing more specifics, not sure of an answer to really assist. I'd need to know distance, type of shotgun microphone, information about the room, congregation size. There are a lot of factors to consider.

There are no minimum camera specs. You can use your choice of webcam, dslr, mirrorless, camcorders or even download the OBS app on your iphone to use the phone as a camera source. So may options.
