    HELP!
    we are using a M32 to OBS for live stream. But what I’m hoping to do is bring the signal from the M32 house mix into Ableton so I can have my own separate mix. Currently I have to keep telling the person running house sound to give me a little more for the guitar, bass, piano or hey let’s add more reverb/delay to the lead vocal for an example.
    So what I would like to have is where I can add and do what I want in Ableton.
    I’ve heard of other churches doing this but can’t seem to get how they do it.
    So far I got all signals coming into Ableton and going into OBS using blackhole, I can add effects and hear them in my headphone, but the live stream still comes out dry.
    I can’t get the effects into the stream.
    Help please 😅 🙏🏽

    Current street price (Dec 2020) on the PTZ Optics 20x is down to about $1600. Also, though it's kind of kludgy, the PTZ Optics camera is capable of live streaming directly from the camera to a network via it's ethernet port. Still have to log into the camera's web interface to set it up, but it doesn't need to pass through a computer. A bare bones way of doing things, but it could get you up in running to start.

    • @frugalaudio
      @frugalaudio 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, on a single camera setup, it might make sense to run your audio directly into your camera. It will take some adapting, and some care with levels. But, it will eliminate the latency issues that are visible in this demonstration.

    I use the EVGA XR1 lite instead of the AJA U-Tamp. It is 1/4 the price and has worked very well for me so far. We are getting to the point where a lot of the no-name cheaper ones on Amazon are decent as well, but they are hard to recommend since they change so much. I gave a $20 no-name unit to a nephew for Switch streaming, and it just worked. The main thing to look for in those is UVC support.

    • @ADKDIO-Camera

      Maybe you can try ADKIDO PTZ Camera with tracking and support HDMI/USB and 3G-SDI

  • @universeu7289
    @universeu7289 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The fact that the PTZ camera comes with USB output it's great, so the HDMI, POE and SDI video output. The problem is most of the churches will use more than one of these and they will be pretty far from the computer so you won't be able to use the USB or HDMI video output since these will only work with short distance cables. So HDMI and USB video output will be useless, the only remaining option for long distance video connection is the 3g-SDi and POE and you will need a 3g-SDi to USB adaptor or I guess POE to USB

  • @mantualutheranchurch9074
    @mantualutheranchurch9074 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    PTZ's are awesome but super expensive. We have one of the cannons he mentioned, I would not recommend it. It is not very clear and does not do well in low light. Our other camera is a Panasonic v770 and it is much clearer. You can find them for around $100 more than the cannon if you look hard. We use a Blackmagic ATM mini which I highly recommend. It supports up to 4 camera's via HDMI in USB output and it will also support audio in. We route our microphone system right into the ATM Mini and then into OBS. Super simple setup that will run you $600-$800 dollars. Check out some of our live streams and you can see the differences between the 2 cameras.

    My church uses Inear monitoring, electronic drums, when the mixer is far from stage, the stage sound doesn’t affect the public access sound, so for stream we could nearly do the same mix. Only difference, less conservative pan settings and possibly less effect return on the stream.
    At the moment we use our Café and I use headphones, not easy, but by listening the recorded stream I could develop an understanding how it has to sound under headphones to be correctly

    • @robfriedrich2822
      @robfriedrich2822 ปีที่แล้ว

      Was my former church. My actual church has no sound man beside me, so we have the issue, that the balance between instruments and vocals is always wrong, sometimes the vocals are too loud, sometimes they are hardly audible. I play keyboard and lead the band and its singing and can't set it properly. When the vocalists complained, they aren't audible, I set them high, when I noticed, the music is drown, I set them lower.

    No OPEN BROADCASTS SERVICES (OBS) and what's more theirs something called SLOBS (Stream Labs OBS) which is something that does alot of that "Difficult stuff your talking about" soon as you download it, it ask you "Do you want OBS [or they both ask 'you" the user this during install] SLOBS Wizard to run self setup for you? Yes/No, simply select [YES] and itll set up your rendering server and set up your download ingestion server, your relays it set it up and with just a little gear that can be made or bought for cheaper this is a little got me feeling mixed vibes but Ones man business is his own thing, I'm not gonna knock your methods because more than half your intentions are very justifiable and then theirs the other half that's also reasonable because Bill's dont pay themselves. But theirs a tiny bit of like 4% of just wanting some sweet hardware to toy with and use as well as the amount of work that you save I'm doing it your way. But In my mind I can completely shatter those prices and products and install and have made to be plug and play not only that but with private servers that literally 200$ is perfect for a decent backup of all feed to last for years to come. I'm not though because I'm just gonna borrow this here idea or thing your doing and do a version for my church which I havent gone to in years. None the less that's why I'm doing this as a way to try to bring myself back to church. This is just me. Sorry I'm far from perfect but I know may know more than a huge amount of people online, so it's only natural given my tech knowledge background to feel as such, plus I vent and rage alot so my apologies in advance. Seriously. But thank you for the help. Good day

    Your video is very helpful especially for a small church. When you mentioned an xlr out of the m32r into the Behringer for a unique mix, what if you still use an analog board? Trying to understand how you can mix multiple channels with just one xlr out and if you use headphones to mix won't that effect the house mix? We technically right now don't want to do the live stream part but record to post later, but want to plan for the live stream part in the future so this is good info. Goal is to figure out the best way on a small church budget to get a good video recording with a decent audio mix. We already record using a 2 channel maudio that captures the full house mix out of our board, which isn't bad most times but as you said isn't always ideal.

    • @BuildOrBuy
      @BuildOrBuy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The XLR out from main board would be a bus or sub bus feed. That would then feed to another mixer attached to computer done this way. Hope that helps!

Trying to get through to the company and nothing from them. Right now I think this is a rip off. I'm confused about the benefit of the audio interface. If the digital sound board has USB out direct to PC, what's the advantage of the in-between interface? I totally get the need for a separate mix from the main loudspeaker outputs. But the main soundboard operator still has to tweak the pc out mix separately from the main loudspeaker outputs, right?

    • @boaty87d
      @boaty87d 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really depends on what is being sent to the usb out on your mixer, most(analog consoles/mixers) take a feed from main mix and to make a livestream seem real you may want room mics in your steam audio but not into FOH speakers. If it was a dedicated Aux or Mix out not Main this would be ideal
