Dude I have had hip issues and back issues every since I was in a 7 time rollover accident 8 years ago. I have only done one or two of these exercises, but it is activating muscles I haven't been able to activate it seems and it's actually helping my back even out and release. It's wild finally feeling this muscle I haven't felt used in forever

Keep doing them man, and be patient with your nervous system because it’s just trying to protect you. If you show patience and calm, it’ll feel safe enough to switch over to the muscles its been avoiding.

@ARB826 yeah it's been years of this and I'm still finding muscle that I'm like not using its wild. Even after doing full body movement workout plans and running... I do a new exercise or stretch and I feel a muscle like come alive and is the weirdest feeling. Like i couldn't flex this area in my left hip butt area. But once I could finally get at it... my whole hip and leg like shifted and rotated a bit and popped into a different place. But it felt great and like easier to do squats. It's so crazy. I'm like, what else is messed up and inactive that is causing me issues that I don't even know? It's so weird.

This is so true. I did side lying leg abduction inline, flexed, and extended to get my glute medius balanced. My internal and external rotation was weak as well. Lateral band steps did nothing for me.

I think dance should come back as a regular thing in our society. The native Americans grew up with it as well as all old cultures. The variety of movements kept people in good joint and muscle health. These were people who also hunted and gathered and were active. I think variety of movements throughout your whole life is key. Maybe?

Thank you, I am having pain bilaterally now but still almost as bad as when I was 18. After extensive research, I believe it’s due to weak Glute Med and over compensation of QL and other surrounding and supporting muscles. The spasms are as difficult to get rid of as neck and cranial.

    Very creative. Dad approved
O dap! Ive been using the outside front hip to activate. The ones towards the center usually ping with pain. If i use my glutes and the front i can rotate left and right or ig clockwise and counter clockwise... ive been stuck with unbelievable pressure
Also, thats the pigeon toe stance in kung fu

Question: in a Left AIC, would we target more the left hip ant glute med? Thanks! Your content is so helpful

Not being funny but why do we need to this? It's such a convoluted maneuver that we'd never do naturally in life. What natural movement or activity stimulates this muscle and what causes it to weaken?
    Cheers

      @k1k13004 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Agreed. That's strange. It doesn't feel anything close to real movement. Anyway I will do it because I have problems in this area. If you don't have problems, it's strange to target that

@@k1k13004 yeah I'm sure it is a great exercise! It just struck me as such a complicated series of movements, angles and restraint 😂 my hip internal rotation is garbage so I'd probably benefit from it also..

There are many reasons, everything has a reason.
One of the reason is that by activating hamstrings, there's less chance to activate the TFL, which is usually takes over for internal rotation - but you want the glute medius to do the internal rotation, not TFL, which may cause knee problems and anterior pelvic tilt.
For me probably even doing this will activate the TFLs as are hyper active in my case.

No wonder older out of shape people have so much trouble with their hips and walking. What an advanced exercise.

Hello sir, Diya this side, i am 23 year old. I got severe back pain in 2021 October after doing sitting pigeon pose in yoga. My teacher forced me to do that pose. Because of that i can't walk, sit, stand, sleep on my back.
When i did X ray, all my doctors told me it's just muscle spasm.
Because of that my spine has become straight, and there is stiffness in lower back as well...i feel it specially after i sit after walking..i did aqua therapy which helped me in forming the arch and getting that curve in spine..but no relief in pain..initially my hip position was right but in the latest x ray it shows my right hip and shoulder is higher then my left. I don't know how and why that happened.
I usually stand on my left feet more, because standing equally on both my legs gives me pain and also increases my heart rate and breathing. And also balancing on both my feet is difficult for me..I usually incline towards left.
It's been 2 years i have tried everything to release that pain but nothing helped. Right now also i am taking physiotherapy, my therapist have started my exercises, i feel good while doing them..but next day everything becomes even more painful.
    Can you help, please🙏 ???
Doctors here in India, blame me when they r not able to cure my problem, they tell me to stop stressing..and start living a normal life..but how can i ?? When i m in so much pain.
Arching exercises lying on my stomach and back gives me pain in my lower back.
I m so tired, sometimes i get suicidal thoughts...because of inactivity in last 2 years my leg and hip muscles have also become tight..i feel it when my therapist gives me stretches.
Please please please help me..i BEG YOU! PLEASE. I want to live..i want to live a happy pain free life. Please help me. I have spend over 2 lakh Indian rupees on my treatment but nothing has worked.
Some doctors say that i should continue doing exercises even if it increases my pain next day...some say i shouldn't.
    PLEASE HELP ME. PLEASE
My jaw is also not aligned. Produces zig zag movement and sound click.
Also have neck and shoulder pain (on and off, usually lying down)
