Just when i thought Sorin gave up on us with the beginner lessons, he comes back with probably one of the all time great videos in his collection!!! This video was so badly needed it's not even funny. I have no idea how to solder so this video was a real educational lesson for me. You ask Sorin, he delivers!!! He's like a magic electronics genie that grants your every wish. HEHEH. Who says the only famous person that came out of Romania was "Dracula"? It's Sorin the Great!!!

I think one of the reasons so many people like your videos, including myself, is the situational reality of how you deal with the unexpected. You keep it real. Yes, I watch it on 1.5-2x speed sometimes, but I really appreciate the unedited and complete story, warts and all. Especially the warts. Thanks so much for sharing your skill, experience and your time.

Hi Sorin, you know, I always tell my son that in life he should always count and increase your blessings account by helping people through your good action rather than build up your bank account. Everyone came to this earth empty-handed and will go empty-handed. So, Sorin you also are receiving people blessing through your free lessons and imparting knowledge to people without any payment. Keep it up, God bless you.

I am only 34 minutes into this video. Every single issue he has mentioned, I have run into. Plus, living in an RV, it's amazingly difficult to realize that the A/C unit, blowing cold air on me in the 120F degree of Tucson, AZ., was also cooling down my soldering iron and hot air unit! Leading to the very things this man is talking about. I've burned boards trying to remove and replace components, nothing to say of the components, themselves! This TH-camr is phenomenal. He has opened my eyes so far, and I am looking forward to learning more!

Nice advanced techniques, out of logic and experience i started using the method of the air gun helping the soldering iron, but was a bit scared it could burn something, now that i see you using this method i think is the best method because its quick and no need for $$$$ worth of proffesional equipment with super accurate and regulated parameters, plus the rosin flux made of mineral and vegetal resins is great to detect shorts and the smoke is kinda safer than the chemical made ones. Hope you make another video with your advanced microsoldering techniques of bigger smd chips. Also adavanced desoldering techniques to recycle components from older/broken boards.

It's me who show you my gratitude. How much i've learn from you. You are so good and experience. It's been 6 years i have finish my electronic course and i realize i know nothing when i got out of school. Now, after 6 years, i just begin to work good. And you help me so much, i wish i had teachers like you Sorin. Now, question. I would like you to talk about air pressure because last week i had to replace a charging port on a House of marley speaker, for teenagers. It has a charging port like phones and it's always broken just like phones. trying to change it, i did burn the board and the traces. I was on 480 degrees and air pressure i don't know enough about. Also i don't know if it's better to unsolder and solder from over the charging port or under and the new charging port did not want to get in the 4 ground holes. It would help me and others if you give a little lesson on this subject,( AIR PRESSURE) and when to solder over and under the port. Thank you sorin and you are wonderfull man. Thank's again.
