Sorin in my opinion does the most ingenious repairs compared to some other repair channels I watch. Deep knowledge and understanding of electronics is amazing. Love to have half his knowledge
Because other channels only show the easy repairs, i worked about 15 years in the electronic repair business and about 70% of the repairs were difficult very rarely i got repairs with only a burned mosfet or capacitor. Many repairs were missing voltages, dead super i/o, dead power ic, dead charger ic, bad southbridge or graphic chips or broken tracks.
they're all good and we can learn something from each one of them, but this man is relentless in his pursuits, for sure!!! just look at that damage. Its a real miracle he pulled off.
28:26 😅😅😅 Dejavu - i have the same problem with the twezers, they often suddenly disappear and then magicly reaper covered with something or peaking behind the corner or something like that. But before this they have to me searched everywere othervise they do not want to reapear 😂
Your repair videos are so great and inspiring. It is a great pleasure to view them! With this repair you saved again an expensive laptop. It seems that the display of the ACER predator is a sRGB panel that has no CCFL backlight and thus does not need an inverter. The connector looks like an eDP 40-Pin Video connector. The damage is at the high numbered pins. 36-39 are LED Power, which of you resoldered 3 of them. Pins 32 is BL_ENABLE and 33 is BL_PWM, the lines which were missing and were probably burnt away.
Whoever thumbs down this video has no appreciation for knowledge, skill, hard work, and determination. Thank you Sorin! I really appreciate all the knowledge and skill you share.
What happened to you with the tweezer happens to me with all kinds of stuff; disappears and then you find it again when you don't need it. I think it's some quantum thing like the tunneling effect or something. But whatever it is, it's real and consistent. UNBELIEVABLE job. You are a genius.
Hello my friend. I like to watch your videos. I always fever with you and always think along with you. This video shows: always step by step and never give up. There is always a solution, a way out of the Problem. I love you for your fighting spirit. Nice to have you and your videos. Very big thank you.
Very good detailed repair . If you check data sheet of this panel so you no need to open screen just only find 3.3 v in in the board solder with disire pin as per panel data sheet
Hi there, i'm watching your videos for a while and now i was shocked, to hear you talking romanian :)) and to fix a romanian laptop lol :)) sincerely, you are my electronics super hero repair man, i'm curently at an electronics college, i always find you soo inspiring, keet going on Sorin.
hi Sorin I been a subscriber to your channel about a year and downloading your videos so that I go back to them to be sure I understand it. You talk nice and slow for us for better understanding about electronics and your skills you are amazingly grate teaching us step by step how to repair to find faults and diagnostics on your knowledge and good skills. years ago I use to take things apart and had no idea what they do or how they work. I like to say thank you for making videos telling us your knowledge all about ELECTRONICS REPIAR LESSON.👋👋💻🖥💡💡
They wouldn't even attempt any repairs. Their answer to everything is buy another overpriced pile of junk from them even if the fault was a faulty charger the laptop had. Louis Rossman has plenty of horror stories to tell about that company.
Amazing job, considering the damage it received some other repair channels will upload a video as a no fix and blame the customer for opening the device you even took a cable from speakers just to make it work again thumbs up as always
I agree with some of the other viewers that you probably could have sent voltage up the apropriate 3.3v signal wires from the mainboard. They must have been damaged in the connector with the short. Your solution is sound though, thanks for sharing your experiences!
Dude, im new to your channel. And i absolutely love watching you work. Your work is very entertaining and educational. You're teaching things i definitely need to know!! thank you!!!
Gaming power. You can see what can happen. Blow up screen connector. And trucks on the board. I did it ones. Solder a new connector with the wires everywhere on the board. You need a proper schematics and solder skills to do it did 3 hours an 42 minutes to get it working. Sorin thanks again for the great video. And I am hungry now … curry chicken wings 😋
Very tricky job sir sorin, you can really please everyone, especially your costumer... Bravo 👏👏👏, you have really vast knowledge about repair thing...i salute you, from phils...
Love your content, gotta love even more your massive nuts of steel to do that sort of steady soldering on top of the costumer's keyboard and not even flintching Keep it up Sorin!
Thank you so much Sir. Very inspiring. Just starting a career in mobile and laptop repair. I will surely watch all your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge🙏🙏🙏
Sorin thanx so much I just began and opened up my electronics repair shop 2 month back with da Aid of your knowledge though I still have challenges with reading da volt meter
What i would have done is coated the jumper wire with glue stick to protect it from shorting to ground and connected it to the place needed for the 3,3v power supply needed for the blacklight as it would be smaller than the wire you use that's what i would do.
Hi Sorin, Most probably if you waited and check the screen before putting the hot glue on the board and screen connector, you will manage to fix the laptop fully. Probably, the next two wires on the screen connector were damaged too but I am sure you will manage to solder those two cable to the board. I can be wrong.... of course!
The feature where the gaming screens turn off the LEDs in between frames is called back light strobing. But it has to enabled like from the bios. it doesn't have anything to do with tearing it is there to reduce the perceived motion blur of fast-moving objects while gaming.
I know what you mean, but actually it is synced, the light it will goes off when the frame is changing, otherwise you will see tearing on fast moving scene blurbusters.com/faq/motion-blur-reduction/
Your a bad ass most ppl would not even mess with that with the plug and board being all burned out like that if i ever have problems with my 3000 dollar msi ge76 raider with 3080 16gb vram im getting a hold of you
This will be the second time that I’ve studied your handiwork on this video ✨✨👌totally great lesson here’s a Green apple 🍏 🍏🍏✨👌this video I must say this is the most instructive video I’ve seen on TH-cam so far thank you very much and I will follow the school around
Salut Sorin. O zi buna.
this guy will have mega problem when he need next time to swap thermal paste bcus screen cable is going on top off coolers. but amazing job ! watched it twice now probably watched every video minimum 1 time but its always fun and something to learn :)
The comments made me laugh too. Good video. I think Sorin should have an Only Fans where we pay to see him do dirty fixes, like the ones that are normally turned away because they are going to fail. Drilling holes, bypassing bits here and there, the real "dodgy" repairs.😂😂 I'm kidding I'm kidding. Nothing is dodgy if it works ;) big respect to Sorin!
man, that is impressive. I really wished I would understand what you are doing so I could fix my own laptop. Either way, it is still very interesting to watch
If Sorin will crash with a plane on a virgin island and survive, he will fix plane, figure out quickly how to fly and get back home :) your a hero!
😂😂😂
@Mr Guru with a proper calibrated fuse
Haha. Yeah he will do that.

Been doing this 40 years, and that is the Most outstanding thing i have ever seen Sorin!
Very good detailed repair . If you check data sheet of this panel so you no need to open screen just only find 3.3 v in in the board solder with disire pin as per panel data sheet

Simply superb work Sorin! A real pleasure to watch you work and to listen to your thought process and diagnostics. Awesome
Hi Sorin,
I like your 'never give up' attitude to repair 👍
Most others would have given up on that.. especially if it was the 🍏 repair service 🤣
They wouldn't even attempt any repairs. Their answer to everything is buy another overpriced pile of junk from them even if the fault was a faulty charger the laptop had.
Louis Rossman has plenty of horror stories to tell about that company.
A true master of his craft. This is better than Squid game! Love your work Sorin.Much respect.
